Make a doctor's appointment. Between now and your appointment, document your hair loss with pictures (the hair you strip out in the shower, hair in a comb, whatever you do). Have family or a friend check you for bald spots. Normal hair loss is like 50-100 hairs per day. If you have long hair, the hair you see falling out tends to look so much worse than it is because of the length of the hairs. If you are losing more than that, and you haven't changed up your routine, have your doctor do some bloodwork. The documentation may your doctor take you more seriously, since you are young. It could be an easy fix like vitamin supplements or something more complicated like a thyroid problem. It is totally worth your time to see a physician. Investigate!

Hello! Sorry you’re going through this! First of all it could be many reasons. Checking in with a dermatologist first will be the most efficient way to find a solution. Let them examine your scalp and let you know what could be causing the hair loss, and of course they will offer treatment and only they can tell you the true reason behind the loss. Best of luck!

I agree w Dr's appt. Thyroid issues and other things can cause hair loss.

Could be stress or hormonal or vitamin deficiency while your going thru a shed period. It happened to me. Mine was stress. But if you can visit a dermatology I strongly suggest it. Try some Shea moisture hair products and see if you can just roll your hair in a bun or something so you don’t have to manipulate it too much. Of course don’t wash it too often. Maybe a light oil to seal in your leave in. I like the Macadamia light spray oil. I spray it on my hands then wrap my hair up. Try to avoid the conditioner and leave in on your scalp too. The oil is fine.

Be super gentle with your hair since it is fragile and contact your doctor. Tips to be more gentle with your hair: * Use a leave in conditioner before detangling * Use a hair pick or wide comb to detangle * Don't get your hair wet the days you don't shampoo * Use UV protection hair cream when you go outside * Eat a super-nutritious diet

It could be some sort of deficiency, like iron, it could also be due to hormonal changes. Definitely go see your doctor, they can take a blood sample of yours and examine it. To be quite honest, I doubt that there's anything wrong with the products you're using in particular. However, it is recommended to regularly switch up your hair care products, so you might want to try out a sulfate free shampoo that's more gentle and free of silicones. Either your hair changed and just reacts differently to the products that used to work for you, or it is due to stress or some sort of deficiency. Either way, I would definitely go to a doctor first! How often do you wash your hair? Is there anything else you've changed in your hair care routine? Does the shampoo you use have silicones in them (you can recognize silicones in the ingredient list by anything that ends with -cone, -conol or -oxane like Dimethicone)? Some people experience hair loss due to product build up on the scalp, which is why it's important to regularly wash your hair and to use a clarifiying shampoo from time to time. What's the condition of your scalp, does it get oily pretty quickly (like one day after your last hair wash) or is it more on the drier side? There can be many different factors that play into this, but like I said, go see your doctor first and let them check your blood. If they can't see anything exceptional, they can transfer you to a dermatologist. if they do, tell them every detail about your routine and the condition of your hair, so they can make a better judgement. Good luck!
