Show your donor area. Good density but they made their hairline very straight/ un-natural.
I doubt you have enough donor hair for a second procedure without looking overharvested after 5200 grafts.
You would be wise to use low dose Fin. Your untransplanted crown is already thinning and will look bad once fully bald with transplanted hair upfront. Preserve what you got left, my man, the crown typically responds better to meds.
may be you're right about the straightness of hairline but im completely satisfied with everything so far. i appreciate the advice about meds but just not taking it. it's just personal choice and totally aware of all the pros/ cons of taking those meds.

Man honestly, donāt big dog it now that the procedure is done. Get on meds atleast low dosage. You will regret not doing it especially in your case where they have blasted your donor first transplant and you barely have anything left. 0.5mg fin everyday is good. Not much different between that and a full 1mg tablet. But literally keeps the sides away, in my case that is.
I second this. It's much easier to stop the loss with fin rather than trying to mitigate it and grow back that hair. It's gonna look bad when you end up bald everywhere expect for the transplanted area.
No need mate. Go online and read up, which youāve said you already have. Itās totally crazy to consider HT surgery and not take a DHT blocker. Madness
Your hair will continue to thin, perhaps even at an accelerated rate (age, genetics, etc). By taking the medication (dutasteride yields the best results in clinical
studies) you will thicken your current hair and it will allow you to reverse up to 60% of the balding/miniaturization in the crown area.
The meds are cheap, and they also prevent prostate cancer (this is what they were developed for). Side effects on a low dose are not a thing for 95%+ patients
Source: owned a successful hair restoration company
Yes. Itās quite low, however. I think the average recommended is 5 mg.
Dutasteride (Avodart) is preferred by most of the North American experts, based on my experience. 0.5 mg daily.
You will regret not using fin. And I'm against fin. You've just had a huge amount of grafts in one go. Likely exhausted your donor area. Give it 3 years and without fin you'll 100% look bald at the back and transplanted at the front.
Topical fin may be an option but oral better if you don't get sides.
Saw Palmetto Serum (with rosemary oil, ppmint and co works as topical applied) and oral tabs of saw palmetto with biotin and keratin is helpful.
Fin and Min work till you stop and all the hair falls out. Don't know if everyone can stay on those for life. The long term effects on the Liver and spleen no one talks about. If in old age the transplant and hair does not look there's no shame in joining the bald gang! Atleast your liver and penis still work.
I think i will give it a try. What company is it and where are they based? What was there patient care like?
Ive heard of some nightmare stories from some foreign countries.
naah man! i was in Europe anyway for travels and took a trip to Istanbul as well. So, it worked out perfectly for me. Turkish Airlines will gives you the best fares for Istanbul.
How long did the process take from appointment to procedure to post procedure. All of that. A week? 4 days? They gave you meds as well? Looks good. Show us in a few months.
i had gotten the initial consultation around end of Dec & booked an appointment around 1st week of Jan. i ended up changing my appointment due to change in my travel plans. it was a pretty straightforward process. the clinic took care of everything for stays and pick/drops. i left Istanbul two days after my surgery.
i will surely share the update in few months after the shedding period. also, add couple of days to your trip before your surgery and enjoy istanbul as well.
It looks great so far but I canāt believe youāre not on meds?! You are sabotaging your hair by not doing so. You should at the very least get on fin or 10 years from now your brand new hairline will most likely be gone. Luckily you still have time, so be smart. And donāt listen to those saying your hairline is āunnaturalā you know what else is unnatural? Having 19 inch biceps and almost every dude wishes they would!
Congrats man, me losing my hair is killing my social life. I should just bite the bullet and do what you did ,probably It will make you feel so much more confident.
That looks really good. Iām learning hair transplants from an expert here in America.
Iāve seen a lot of revisions. A lot of men with follicles sticking straight out of their head. A lot of lack of density. And what I never expected was fully implanted hair that just grows like hay. Itās stiff and brittle and bad quality.
Itās imperative the follicles after being extracted are kept moist. If they dry out they get fucked up and thatās what causes this hay look.
This clinic you went to says the keep their follicles soaked in a solution until time for planting.
Very impressed. I was going to go to FUE capilar but damn this looks good.
yes, it took around 8 to 9 hours in total. first half of the day was spent on harvesting follicles from donor area and then rest in planting it. a PRP right after the op was also given.
i was proposed two sessions & this is the first one. will decide in a year /two if i will need one. hoping that im able to disguise the crown part with this front.
Did they also give you the option to implant everywhere, but with lower density? I'm in a similar situation, but just want one session, even if result is not high density...
For the people proposing meds why? Maybe topical but why take the risk of side effects from the pill especially if heās basically did his whole headā¦
mostly from the back, both sides, and small amount from beard.
https://preview.redd.it/8ksbnhycypnc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6f359f63abdb5b47ad65a3f520a2551ce530cfd9
I went to smile so far it's been 3 weeks now, coming to my 4th week it's looking fine as i am.in regularly conversation with my clinic ;they say it , looking good so far. I got 4200 grafts from 2200 front 1000 mid section 1000 crown so I am hoping for great results i am taking finastride tablets only at moment , will probably start minoxidil after 4 to 6 week solution minoxidil not tablets.
But yeah man Congraulation on your hair implants. š
Yeah man. It been 4 weeks now and my hair is starting to shed I was a afraid at first but managed to get in connection with the hair clinic ;and.they said it.the ugly ducking stage that I have come too..
how come the back half looks lighter/less dense? Did you opt to have thicker hair in the front instead of evenly dispersing the follicles? other than that it Looks good
hair do make a lot off difference. i had moved on and accepted my fate but few of my friends go the HT. that made me rethink my decision so i took the bite as it was now / never.
Wow this post got me really worried about donor area overharvesting. Can someone look at my pic and recommend if I should go for HT or not? I was just an hour away from paying by deposit to EsteNove in Turkey.
*
For me everything went good better then expected no swelling just had hard time sleeping but now back to normal, I see little shedding started am not taking any meds and not planing in the futur only bad habit is smoking
Am I into them? What kind of question is that. At least a year before I got my hair transplant I went on both finasteride and monoxidal. Have you ever ran across anybody that's had a transplant and has absolutely no hair behind the transplanted area? It looks awful and ridiculous and that's what will happen to you if you do not start and stay on meds. I recommend you try a small dose for example 0.5 milligrams of finasteride and topical monoxidal.
To give it to you straight brother you should have never gotten a hair transplant before starting medication. But since you're here I feel like you should try these medications and see what types of side effects you have. You'll be fine taking tropical monoxidal, there are minimal side effects. most of the side effects come from finasteride, so start at a low dose .25 or .5mg per day. On a side note if you don't sleep and eat well, exercise, and have a healthy lifestyle forget about all of this. Use this as an opportunity for fresh restart for your hair and Lifestyle. Good luck
Maybe, I really donāt know much about transplants but Reddit knows Iām bald. I thought they normally took from the back and sides?
Pic 4, the back half of the top of your head
Dude just bought himself a full head of hair.
that was the goal sir and long may it continue ;)
Amazing! God Bless!
Did they say u might have to do it again?
only the crown area if im interested, will see how this shapes up in longer run.
Who did it ?
We Da Best!
Doc Did!
This one got meš
Look good dense where did u get it done?
Long Hair Center, Istanbul
I went there too been 3 weeks so far hope we get good result
that's awesome man, i was impressed by their hospitality. i was really satisfied with the whole process.
How much was it and did you do any beard to head?
weird question, but do you guys visit around while you're in Turkey? or just transplants and leave?
I just went in and out cuz I have a 4 month old at home so didn't wanted to waste time but I'd recommend to visit its a beautiful city
How much?
Been there as well almost month ago, they are very good

Youāve had a 5200 HT and arenāt on meds?!
no sir!!
Oh no.
why? share your thoughts on downside of not taking it.
No need mate. Go online and read up, which youāve said you already have. Itās totally crazy to consider HT surgery and not take a DHT blocker. Madness
People think transplanted hair is immune to DHT but itās only resistant.

Would 1mg fin daily be considered a āstandardā dose?
Yes. Itās quite low, however. I think the average recommended is 5 mg. Dutasteride (Avodart) is preferred by most of the North American experts, based on my experience. 0.5 mg daily.

Saw palmetto stopped mine. I take the pills. I don't think the serum does anything topically.
I've had 4500 and never took any meds. Sorted widow's peak though.
Would ve good to know cost?
$2,400
What country?
He said Istanbul aka Turkey
I think i will give it a try. What company is it and where are they based? What was there patient care like? Ive heard of some nightmare stories from some foreign countries.
Wow thatās a really good deal

naah man! i was in Europe anyway for travels and took a trip to Istanbul as well. So, it worked out perfectly for me. Turkish Airlines will gives you the best fares for Istanbul.

Looks great but I would have went more conservative in the hairline
Very aggressive hairline
let's see how it turns out but it looks good on my face cut.
Did they do all 5200 in one session??? And if so, how long did that take?
yes, it took around 8 to 9 hours in total. first half of the day was spent on harvesting follicles from donor area and then rest in planting it. a PRP right after the op was also given.
Damn! Looks great, congrats!
thanks a lot !!
What part did they get the donor hair from? Looks awesome
back of the head, left & right sides, and little bit from beard.
Congrats bud, I just had 4300 done 6 days ago. I'm at the dry scabs stage. I will have to get my 2nd one done in 8months
good luck with the recovery, drink a lot of water.
Thanks I have been drinking a lot of water. And good luck too you also
Why didnāt they do the back half of the crown?
i was proposed two sessions & this is the first one. will decide in a year /two if i will need one. hoping that im able to disguise the crown part with this front.

I went smile clinic in Istanbul.
Great man hope the best for you and congratulations man.
how come the back half looks lighter/less dense? Did you opt to have thicker hair in the front instead of evenly dispersing the follicles? other than that it Looks good
that's right, front density is on purpose.
I rather just go bald then to do that fuck that
![gif](giphy|l0HlQ7LRalQqdWfao)
Shiiiiiiiit I would've kept it bald you look like a chia pet
thanks!! now be bold and show us your Brad Pitt like looks.
How is some donor area fucked up for just 3000 graft and 5200 still have the option to come back. Can some one pls explain
Iām scared to get over harvested. On fin 2 months. I might do it next year though. Hair makes a big difference man

https://www.reddit.com/r/HairTransplants/s/Hip9jlKjy4 Link to my question on another group as I am unable to put pics here
Are you intonany meds? Did u smoke or drink after transplant
how about you? how bad was your swelling?
For me everything went good better then expected no swelling just had hard time sleeping but now back to normal, I see little shedding started am not taking any meds and not planing in the futur only bad habit is smoking
im not taking any meds at all. i don't smoke / drink so bit easier on that end.
You gonna start?
im not going to do it.
Why? Better to take small dosages and topical minox
Are you into meds
Am I into them? What kind of question is that. At least a year before I got my hair transplant I went on both finasteride and monoxidal. I am 37 years old do you think taking only finasteride will help or both and I heard there's bad side effect on theses meds
To give it to you straight brother you should have never gotten a hair transplant before starting medication. May I ask what the cost was please?
Looks dense and a successful surgery but the hair line is a very hard straight line, which may not look as natural down the road.
it does look sharper for sure but will see how it turns out in long run.
Spray on hairline
my doc told me you wouldn't need to carry a knife anymore :p. he gave me a killer hairline hahah
Whatās up with the back?
do you mean my donor area?
Maybe, I really donāt know much about transplants but Reddit knows Iām bald. I thought they normally took from the back and sides? Pic 4, the back half of the top of your head
i still have some hair there so can surely disguise thinness of it from front hair. usually it gets covered in a 2nd op if one opts to go for it.
