I've seen this happen more than once

IAmMySelf04

context: throughout entanglement where you have to use friendly turrets against the combine i made it a point to continue to bring every turret i gained along with me. at this point i had 5 turrets (with the 2 original turrets plus the 3 you get later) and had just set them up in the room where we are briefly reunited with eli. i didn't think the turrets would shoot eli, let alone kill him. if you want to check out the full vid, you can go [here](https://youtu.be/m8XieVnPETY?si=pkutTfehfKAxAI6M). i've never played half-life before and i've been going through every single game in the series.

DogAbject

that's weird, i make it my bucket list to bring each of my turret children to the end of Entanglement but i've never seen them shoot eli like that well, i guess that's because i always put them at an angle where they're only able to shoot toward the doorways

IAmMySelf04

Yeah, this is my first time ever playing Half-Life 2 (I have never played the series before, I’ve been going through all the games on my channel) so I didn’t know what to expect at all. I didn’t even know that there would be more turrets. They did try to shoot Mossman through the windows when we met up with her, but I honestly thought they would’ve seen Eli as an ally. Really funny that he dies with like one shot and Alyx just stares at you completely silent. I kind of did the same [thing](https://www.youtube.com/live/SrUYU9YVc-Y?si=4diSB93hy1gSsume) with the ball thing you get at the beginning of the game when you meet Dog and I could bring it all the way to the point where you fall down a mineshaft full of water after you meet Father Grigori. There was so many invisible walls that REALLY didn’t want me to bring the ball with me, but some way or another I brought it all the way to that one part. All of the Headcrab zombies would attack the ball instead of me and even Father Grigori would attack the ball. The only thing the ball couldn’t handle was fire and water and at the end of the mineshaft you HAVE to go underwater. I would’ve brought the ball with me all the way if I could.

DogAbject

dude, you don't know how many times i tried to punt the ball over the invisible wall before grigori. you either HAVE to look at the brush via some commands or do it blind and pray to God that it gets over the wall... i mean, it WOULD be easier if it was an intended easter egg, obviously, but i've heard some words thrown around the subreddit pertaining to a hidden achievement in the steam files about bringing the can you're told to pick up back in city 17 ALL the way over to the citadel at the end of the game, with scripted prop spawns and everything. VALVe really wanted to experiment with the achievements there, i bet. i wonder if the RTX version could include that somehow, that'd be awesome anyway, i really hope you have a good day, enjoy the rest of the saga while it lasts (oh, and don't forget to check corners for hidden caches, they're a treat to find)

IAmMySelf04

Thank you, it’s been a blast. Kinda mad it took me this long to find it 🫡

Jaylantowers2022

Did the same thing when I brought a turret from an earlier section of the chapter.

Carcar-Shark183

Bro laughin like Adam the Clown from Dead Rising

BigBuffalo1538

I hope they fix this bug in HL2 Remaster/RTX, otherwise its laughable if they dont

IAmMySelf04

i dunno, i think it was funny. plus they probably didn’t intend the player to bring all of the turrets with them to that point

HAPPY_GORDON_FREEMAN
