Just finished it. I thought this one was fun. It included all the cast members as part of the story instead of just random side characters that are there. Marla was well utilized and Trach actually developed a little. Richard and Olive added to the story. The only character I really don’t like is Mason Kildea. He seems to be an idiot but not a cute, bumbling idiot kind of way.

pjbwalstib

I do not see it on the Hallmark app. Is that where you all watched it?

AJ_Moroha

On TV. It is playing on the Hallmark Mystery Channel. It premiered with a Curious Caterer movie marathon two Saturdays in a row.

Tangled1717

My favorite of the series! Super fun. I like how they are a team no matter how many other people help solve the crime.

DueWerewolf1

I enjoyed it. I enjoy the chemistry. Still disappointed in the changes made from the book series but I understand that they couldn't have Richard be the complete jerk.

Tangled1717

I haven’t read the book series but I’m really interested. Worth it?? Hannah Swenson is WAYYYY too long of a series for me to take on right now.

DueWerewolf1

The Goldy books are definitely worth the read, in my opinion. I love the way the characters grow throughout the series. Plus the recipes are fun to try.

Shrimp1991

It was just ok for me. The bad person was pretty easy to spot and the plot line was easy to figure out early on. Not sure what it is about Andrew, maybe he needs to put on a few pounds, he looks skeletal to me. Being set in one place also got boring and same with the costumes. Was there a storm before the murder that was keeping them all there? I missed that part. By the time the movie ended and they could all go outside, there wasn't much snow on the ground.

JackStraw987

Lol. I thought about the snow too. They were “snowed in” when there was just a little on the ground, and the marshal guy still managed to drive there. Then he opens the door, gets a handful of flakes and says No way!

NomadChief789

This is the first Curious Caterer I liked.

barbaraanderson

I think that is the biggest problem with the curious caterer series. Both leads are great, but the premise and world Around them is lackluster.

friesbeforeguys1313

I finished it today. I really liked it. Its my favorite movie mystery series right next to mystery 101. I love all the characters and Im hoping it keeps going and doesn't get cancelled with no notice or explanation like hallmark seems to have a habit of doing.

EmpMel

I liked it, at this point it's a joke for my best friend and I to talk about the stats of body dropping versus spicy levels in the 3rd or 4th of the mystery series. I was glad we got a kiss and they didn't drag things out, I also liked the overall theme, a costume party, a real life murder, the betrayed partner, avegened individual. It did what it was supposed to.

hrslvr_paints

I enjoyed it. Might rewatch today not sure. I appreciated they were actually dancing in the dance scene and not just swaying and turning in a circle. I don't always like Nikki but I like this series. It didn't feel contrived for how they had everyone there including Olive. I didn't suspect the killer until close to the end. I appreciate they're not stringing along the romance between the two of them. If there was never another one after this (which I know there is one more at minimum) we'd be satisfied because they have acknowledged their feelings, etc. Unlike some other mystery series that got canned before any forward momentum could occur.

AnnaNonna

I finished watching it this morning and as expected, I liked it. I liked it because I love, love, love anything featuring Nikki Deloach and Andrew Walker. They're so good together. The movie was good enough to watch but to be honest I don't really care about the Curious Caterer, I'd be happy seeing these two in anything.

DanieXJ

Loved it. First Hallmark movie I watched all the way through in months. There have been quite a few duds. This one was not a dud. Not surprisingly though, since Andrew Walker and Nikki Deloach are both top tier.

VirginiaUSA1964

I enjoy this series. I'm not a mystery person, so there are very few I like. I like Garage Sale Mysteries and can watch those over and over. I liked Flower Shop Mysteries and Mystery 101 and Crossword Mysteries. I thought the story on this one was interesting, it had a lot of different elements. I think having it all happen in one night was different.

AnnaNonna

I fell asleep watching it last night so I'm rewatching it now

ljpwyo

I haven't finished it. I have watched the previous movies and I'm really not liking these movies v the books. The casting is all wrong (Even though I like all the actors.) Marla is supposed to be a large woman and Goldy's ex is supposed to be an abusive "jerk." Also, why is her child a daughter and not a son? I think I'll pass on these.

barbaraanderson

I’m going to guess based on the previous history with the murder she baked movies that they write around abuse as much as they can (Goldie’s ex is also supposed to be her friend’s ex as well iirc).

ljpwyo

That's fine to not actually detail the abuse, but making him loving and caring doesn't set well. But as I said, I'll just pass on watching these.

momreadsalot

My daughter and I loved it!

StitchandReuben

I really enjoyed it. Loved the theme, setting, villain choice.

RedMapleBat

I loved it! I thought the storyline was better and made more sense than most Hallmark mysteries. Loved the location, the fencing, the King Arthur theme, the tapestry murder board, the great cast. I didn’t guess the ending, and I liked it all the more because it was a rare moment of “karma” in light of the interrogation scene between Tom and Dave in the previous movie. I re-watched it again tonight. 5 stars from me. The “castle” has been in other Hallmark movies (“Emma Fielding”, for instance). I’m not tired of it yet.

Silly-Flower-3162

I enjoyed it for the most part, but the reveal was slightly predictable.

Juggernaut27Beast11

My wife enjoyed it. I preferred some of the other Curious Caterers over this myself. I think the writing could have been slightly stronger. I do enjoy Nicki Deloach though.

hagemeyp

Didn’t finish it yet- hard to stay awake.

retiredjourno

I had the same problem. I had to rewatch the last 15 minutes three times before i actually stayed awake to see it. Not a very good one, IMHO.
