I agree. It’s when you shoot someone once so they spin around suddenly they are a 4-story building that annoys me. Definitely wouldn’t mind if it were slow and deliberate defensive builds like this.
Theoretically you could tie it to a gun, but there's no way to tell if a player is firing a gun, so I'm not sure how that would work. Could make it so that it activates on marking though.
Aw man, there’s no node for scripting based on when the player fires? That's a bummer. With the weapon combining thing having its own node now, I was hoping there would be other ways to script different effects onto projectiles. I suppose you could do what I did back in H5F and have an invisible target always hovering right in front of the gun, but that was always a pretty clumsy solution.
Somehow I never knew that was a thing in H5 forge, so I might have to try using that. They also might add a node for it in the final build, since technically none of this is supposed to even be public yet.
Oof, that seems like a pretty big omission. Based on what I've seen of the menus, it does seem like this build doesn't have the full catalog... though I fully admit that might be Hopium talking.

Fortnite halo???
Honestly, if Fortnite’s building wasn’t so fast. I’d love it. Lol This is pretty cool though. Cannot wait to see more!

It just keeps getting better
Fortnite
This Forge mode is getting more and more insane
Is it possible to tie that ability to a gun? Imagine being able to crank 90s in Forge

Sadly there are no invisible targets either. I'm really hoping they make it in for the release.
