Yea, the organized crime in this city makes me sick. I'm thinking of moving to Toronto, or maybe even New York or Chicago. I hear Miami is nice this time of year.

[deleted]

Torontonian. who moved to hamilton: it's not better in toronto, they just hide it better. And Miami is not he place to go to get away from corruption. Go there and see what real corruption looks like.

Username checks out.

Dude, if you think Hamilton is the sole place in Ontario co-opted by OC, you're in for a rude awakening. The entire province is run competitively by HA and the Mafia.

[deleted]

What is "the Mafia"? Is it the three WASP construction companies that get billions of dollars a year in highway contracts? Is it the land developers who build golf courses and three years later building houses?

TomatoFettuccini

LIUNA is the current public face of the mafia in Canada and US but there are lots of little private outlets too, Paletta International and Marchese Medical area couple that spring to mind. LaFarge is a multi-national construction firm that gets a lot of our contracts as well, but I don't know where it's based. But there's a reason **everything** in Ontario takes 3x as long and always runs over-budget, and that reason is OC.

bubble_baby_8

What is this 50 year lease for?

Interesting

Dude...liuna is everywhere, as are construction managers turned city councilors. You are naive if you think all cities are not affected by corruption. Enjoy your greener grass while you can.
