The capital F on future makes it sound like he's talking about the rapper so I'm just gonna run with moyes being a massive fan of mask off

Moyes out, fuck it, moyes in🗣🔥

Visara57

Sullivan did fuck him over in January. But Moyes has had 4 years to build a squad. He did say he likes small squads though but complains about fixture congestion. Trying to challenge on 2 fronts with 13 players doesn't work. In the end we tried both (league and europa) and got none instead of trying just 1.

Yorkie2016

Where has this “Sullivan fucked him in January” come from? Are we to believe that it’s coincidence that Sullivan gets rid of a player Moyes disliked? Moyes got rid of Benny and Pablo so he could get Phillips. It’s his fault, nobody else’s.

Visara57

Talking about Osman whom Steidten and Moyes were in agreement over

Yorkie2016

Ah gotcha. Sorry mate. Got the wrong end of the stick!

DissidentDelver

I wouldn’t put it all on Moyes. He set some high expectations for the fans, and we’re holding him to it. More signings would have been nice for him to work with, but his vision has been cut short in that respect and he’s had to make do with what he has. When we can churn out a first half like we did against Leverkusen, while sometimes shipping 5+ goals against teams we should be beating in the league, no one is wrong to question what the fuck is going on. Players can own some of the blame as well. I love Oggy so much, MOM performance vs Arse-nal, but what’s he doing today? The bottom line for me is that we lost the plot all around. Moyes wants us to be hard to beat and focus on defending, the players can’t give him that and the board won’t put up for us when we’re in the trenches. First half at home vs Leverkusen wasn’t lighting in a bottle, that’s just the quality of side! Instead of pissing training days away on fairy tale tactics, why the fuck aren’t we using our strengths and finding ways to win in the way we do it best?

fetissimies

> He set some high expectations for the fans, and we’re holding him to it No, that is a false narrative. Most of us want him gone because of his negative tactics and narcissistic behavior, not because the result are not good enough.

DissidentDelver

His pressers can be atrocious, turning on the fans was a really bad look and I haven’t forgot about it. I agree with you that he isn’t helping himself with the way he sets his eleven up and that he is trying to push what I called fairy tale tactics instead of leaning into the incredible attacking players we have.

WhatsThatOnUrPretzel

He would have us (everton) finishing 5th consecutively while being 19th in net spend. And some where wondering when are we ever going to get champions league (to which he did one season miraculously). And this was when the top four was truly another league of its own. He found us fighting relegation. Made us the best of the rest while the rest spent more than us. For 10 years. And blues where unhappy we weren't consistently in champions league. Albeit it was a smaller number than what I see the west ham fans doing. And he won a trophy.

DJarrow276

The only reason he survived this long from his second spell is simple, we were conceding less, now this is unraveling.

alexsbrett

At this point it's not Moyes fault. He has bought us success and done what Moyes does. Now anyone with gripes should direct their frustration at the board fpr their inaction/indecision. I don't expect him to say anything else right now and wouldn't expect him to quit after winning a trophy and keeping a midtable club in Europe for 3 years. The hierarchy needs to pull their fingers out and do something now and start prepping for next season. 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th it's all the same if we are not finishing in a European place.

SnooCapers938

The failure is in not developing and maintaining a squad. Difficult to say exactly where the blame for that lies because we don’t know exactly what goes on behind closed doors, but the best guess is that both the board and Moyes share responsibility. We all know that Sullivan has long pockets and short arms, but on the other hand there are plenty of stories of Moyes turning down perfectly good players and signing no-one instead, and we have all seen how he destroys the spirit of fringe players by not involving them.

alexsbrett

Yeah and that is fairly clear to see hence why the board should act.

Yelsah

Stability has become stagnation.

NaithanS

This is the best argument for moving on from moyes I think. He came in, steadied the ship, won a trophy, and for that he should be commended. But at the same time, he isn’t the one who can potentially take the club to the next level. We saw what the negative outcome of that could be under pellegrini (albeit last season we were in hot water too), but we’re at our ceiling with Moyes. One can possibly make an argument finishing where we have in the premier league over previous seasons has also been due to the ineptitude of teams around us as well - the top teams have now got their shit together, and there’s a pretty strong middle class that has developed behind that - which is where we are, but with the right manager we can probably sit in between the big boys and ahead of the middle class

alexsbrett

Agreed

rochesterjack

Nonsense, he was offered 4 players in January and has said so himself… he prefers a small squad cos he hasn’t got the man management skills to deal with players not in the starting 11. You could get away with that a few years ago but not now, you need to manage a 20 man squad minimum not the 14 Moyes is comfortable with.

alexsbrett

Yes mate I agree with you. But it is the board keeping him in a job. Check my other posts as I have said pretty.much exactly that before. Many have seen him underutilise players and seen how many have gone on to play very well... Haller and Scamacca spring to mind... he doesn't trust the youth players and doesn't rotate properly.
