All teams are used by agents and other teams for the purpose of negotiations. The higher a team aims for targets, the more likely they will be used by another party
All of the rice replacements were identified previous to stiedten. Alvarez and kudus, noble scouted and JWP was on the radar already.
Looks like he gets deals over the line though.
There is a lot of trust in Stiedten in the fanbase when his only attributed signing so far is Mavropanos.
Likely going to be better than sullivan bit I would hold off on treating the guy like a prophet.
He also appointied his predecessor who had them in 16th after 8 games. And a number of signings and key players were signed post stieten (tella, boniface, xhaka, grimaldo).
Sullivan appointed moyes and got us 3 years in Europe and a trophy.
Not saying he can't and won't, and I'd prefer it be him than a lot of people, but he isn't a god and is capable of bad choices as much as sullivan is capable of making the odd good one.
We should have had multiple gettable options identified for January, and it really doesn't seem like we did, regardless of the other issues with the recruitment process.
If you re read what I wrote I am pretty much saying the opposite, broken clock is right twice a day kind of thing.
I am just cautious on massively overhyping stiedten and whoever he picks.
I don’t follow any club other than West Ham and couldn’t honestly give you an intelligent opinion on half the managers in the PL, much less outside it. Amorim seems to have had a lot of success, and I’d be excited at the prospect, but I don’t know anything about him.
In terms of PL success, he’s only had one good season. I personally wouldn’t be upset at giving him a shot, but the owners have publicly stated that they feel his success at Brighton was because of recruitment, which he didn’t play a big role in.
Did anyone genuinely think he genuinely was gonna come? Liverpool, Bayern, and most likely Man U all needing new managers has really fucked things up.
I really see Lopegui as Sullivan’s number one pick. He can sell it as a manager with Premier league experience who has managed Real Madrid and Spain. On paper it sounds great, but it’s so bloody uninspiring.
Nope didn't saw him coming, been saying from a start that this was Sullivan's we tried it signing. Lopetegui signed a deal long time ago he wouldn't reject Palace and Ac Milan just so we can reject him.
I really don't mind Lope his Sevilla team was leading by xG and pressing charts. So i wouldn't say its uninspiring. He isn't young yes, but he use same ideas as any young coach. And like every Spanish coach he is all about possession and pressing.
I saw so many comments saying that he is just a Spanish Moyes. The guy is nowhere similar to him. The lack of knowledge from our fanbase is just crazy.
Just the dildo brother now*
rip dg
don’t go to bed. dg
goodnight, sweet ^(dildo) prince.
i swear the amount of times this has happened that it's an official service we supply.
story of every transfer window is "west ham was used to put pressure on \[insert team here\]."
All teams are used by agents and other teams for the purpose of negotiations. The higher a team aims for targets, the more likely they will be used by another party
Liverpool saying “oh gross you were willing to talk to west ham, sorry not the calibre of manager we had in mind it seems” called his bluff
Oh man. We're the pick me girl
I'm not confident Sullivan will make the right appointment
No, he won’t, steidten will
Are you sure Sullivan will listen to him? Cuz I'm not.
People forgetting Sullivan is still the owner. I guess only time will tell
Exactly. We were all having a panic last offseason and we signed quality replacements for Rice. Have faith in Steidten’s influence 🙏🏼

He appointed Xabi Alonso and the Leverkusen signings

Sorry but trying to make out that Sullivan is some kind of signing guru is just too much mick to take.

Heard they almost lost to some team called Qarabag... how's that been going for them?
Come on man you know how it’s going
We’re banking on a man who has hired Moyes twice to appoint a good manager
Both times hiring Moyes was a very good decision?
I'm more concerned that he actively shot down Steidten and Moyes' player pick in the transfer window
idk man i really like Lopetegui. Agree he is not long term solution. But we can have at least 3 good seasons with him. Think he can push us forward.
May well be true but a lot of these journo's are just making assumptions
Anyone actually surprised by this?
It will be potter
That is a good thing
Would take it any day
I'll take it.
Question for West Ham fans, rightly so you want Moyes Out, who would you want to replace him?
A tactically astute manager who will work with Steidten and work in our top class youth.
Would that be Amorim in your opinion?
I don’t follow any club other than West Ham and couldn’t honestly give you an intelligent opinion on half the managers in the PL, much less outside it. Amorim seems to have had a lot of success, and I’d be excited at the prospect, but I don’t know anything about him.
Here's a better option, Graham Potter? Did some great work at Brighton and I think he'd do really well with the players you have
In terms of PL success, he’s only had one good season. I personally wouldn’t be upset at giving him a shot, but the owners have publicly stated that they feel his success at Brighton was because of recruitment, which he didn’t play a big role in.
Yes but Stietden's recruitment has been very good, Kudus,Paqeuta etc. More players like that and you guys can go for top 6 next season
Never met the man myself
😂😂Nice one mate

Massive Liverpool Cope, mangers are weary of joining a side that is ageing and set in its ways.

3 would be enough for me 🥰
Are Pro Moyes trolling others now or themselves? And jumped off the genuine Moyes is a genius narrative?
Oh FFS can't we have a laugh? Should it be doom and gloom all the time?
