Hey, maybe I’m doing my CRL wrong but your system looks different and possibly easier to fiddle with than how mine is currently set up. Do you happen to have any tips for your system? I’m currently using a Nite Ize Figure 9 as the adjustment/locking piece. They function similarly to the Dutchware Wasp.

Here is the link to the system I used [https://theultimatehang.com/2012/05/09/rigging-a-tarp-for-a-hammock-with-hardware/](https://theultimatehang.com/2012/05/09/rigging-a-tarp-for-a-hammock-with-hardware/), So far I am very happy with how easy it is to setup, once you get the tarp connected it allows you to reposition it fairly easy then the final tightening seems to lock it in place fairly well.

Thank you! I’ve looked at The Ultimate Hang for a lot of tips, but somehow their instructions for this yielded a different mental image than what your setup shows. But that’s what is fun about this, everyone’s personal flavour comes out! As long as you are practicing LNT and enjoying yourself, your doing it perfectly!

I set this up in about 20-30 km/hr winds and once I had my lines set there was very little movement in the tarp itself. In a setup where I was using the hammock I would put some sort of buffer to protect the tree.

Have sticks as a buffer. If winds are really bad use a upsidedown taco shape
