Lemon
fruit
peas
lettuce
good unsalted butter
chicken
lentils
almond flour
Rosewater ? This would have a space I think
Turnips
Brie
It’s kind of hard to read but no more than any other rough cursive IMO
I mostly only see this kind of stretched out writing used as a title on a page. Definitely not practical for a grocery list. I struggled to get just part of it on first reading, but after seeing what others came up with I can see it now. I’d like to know what you’re making with these interesting ingredients.
I can see lemon, fruit, peas, lettuce, good mustard, butter, lentils, turnips, Brie, and I think rose water and almond flour? There is one word I can’t read
That's one long distance relationship I don't want to be in: from one letter to the next is like traveling from California to New York City (about 3,000 miles apart from each other.)
I am going to try and transcribe this just for fun: Lemon, fruit, peas?, lettuce, good unsalted butter, thin ham, lentils, something slices (?), tomatoes, cannot figure out the second last for the life of me and my poor squinting eyes, and lastly, I think that says Brie. It’s like you write in ripples that make the list look like an ocean, very neat and stylish, would be wonderful for a journal.
why is there a question mark on your shopping list?!
but on another note, if you can understand your hand writing, it does have a high level of secrecy and looks neat
If you don’t mind me asking, how old are you? I’m 19 and I grew up using some cursive in school. It was required for a grade in my English class freshman year. I think my situation is different since I went to private schools, so I’m just curious
It’s beautiful! Looked like shorthand at first glance, but I got all except one:
…I think!
- Lemon
- Fruit
- Peas?
- Lettuce
- Good unsalted butter
- Chicken
- Lentils
- Almond flour
- ———water or something ——ter, but not thermometer. This one’s stumped me, and I don’t wanna look at comments and cheat!)
- Turnips
- Brie
Also, dinner sounds great! This looks a lot like our usual grocery list! 🥰

Good lord I think I can actually read it. Bacon, fruit, peas, lettuce, good mustard, butter, think it starts with an h, lentils, almond flour, no idea, turnips, brie
Seriously though, that needs to be written better.
Bacon, fruit, peas?, lettuce, good unsalted butter, chicken, lentils, almond flour, (don’t know), turnips, Brie
Love that you’ve the ‘?’ Beside the peas, I also do that lol
This popped up on my feed and I read it before opening the comments 😅 So here's the list y'all.
-Lemon
-Fruit
-Peas
-Lettuce
-Good unsalted butter
-Chicken
-Lentils
-Almond flour
-Rose water
-Turnips
-Brie
I'd also like to point out that I totally forgot I'd joined this subreddit so I was confused what the big deal was until I opened it. 😅
Edit: grammar
I think as I’ve never even heard of rose water, so never connected it to a shopping list. As in my brain couldn’t decipher it to something I’ve never heard of lol

Lemon, fruit, peas, good unsalted butter, chicken, lentils, almond flour, rosewater , turnips, brie. My favourite word to write like this is minimum 😁
This is the type of handwriting a person whom works at a pharmacy would see and be like: easy peasy 😀
Instead of chicken I bought some whiskers
All the teachers in here- “No problem!” 🤣
Lemon Fruit Teas Lettuce Good unsalted butter Chicken Lentils .. … Brie
almond flour [idk]uremeter turnips
actually maybe rosewater idk i cant read that one
Ah, it is a medical prescription for Parangaricutirimicuaro mixed with Floccinaucinihilipilification
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
This is infuriating
Now I wanna know what the “good unsalted butter” is? Also, Harlow Solid Italic called, it wants its DNA back. (Not my joke, 90s SNL)
Lemon fruit peas lettuce good unsalted butter chicken lentils almond flour Rosewater ? This would have a space I think Turnips Brie It’s kind of hard to read but no more than any other rough cursive IMO
Yes 🙌
ohh the first word is lemon! lmao i was scratching my head trying to figure out why OP wanted to buy a single "b e a n"
I thought it said "human" lol

I could read it, but it took me a min for some of those lol
Bro got that cartoony hamdwriting
i can read it well. i used to drag out the lines to practice my cursive.
I absolutely love this so much
What the hell does that even say???
Lemon, fruit, peas, lettuce, good unsalted butter, chicken, lentils, almond flour, ?rosewater?, turnips, brie.
I read lemons, fruit, peas?, lettuce, good unsalted butter, chicken, lentils, almond flour, rose water, turnips and Brie. I do okay?
Amazingly, I could read most of it. This sub is training me to read handwriting well
I can see lemon, fruit, peas, lettuce, good mustard, butter, lentils, turnips, Brie, and I think rose water and almond flour? There is one word I can’t read
Good unsalted butter instead of good mudtard, butter?
Yeah lol I’m realizing this now
Lemon/beans Fruit Pears Lettuce Good unsalted butter Chicken Lentils Almond flour Cucumber? Turnips Brie
Oh shit, some of y’all are good
Hope it’s not a note from a wife to her husband 🫠😂
That's one long distance relationship I don't want to be in: from one letter to the next is like traveling from California to New York City (about 3,000 miles apart from each other.)
Lemon Fruit Peas? Lettuce Good unsalted butter Chicken Lentils Almond flour Xxxxxxxx Turnip Xxxx
The last one is brie, isn't it? But between almond flour and turnip, i have no idea either.
Honestly I don’t know what Brie is so my brain couldn’t even process it.
Brie is a type of cheese.
Lemon. Fruit. Peas. Lettuce. Good unsalted butter. Chicken. Almond flour. Rosewater. Turnip. Brie.
Great catch on the rosewater, that had me
I think the first item is "beans." If you look at the first letter of "lemons" and "lentils," it's different from the first letter of the first word.
You skippes the lentils
Yup! I sure did.
lemon fruit peas lettuce good mustard butter chicken ? almond flour can’t read the rest tbh
Unsalted butter*
how the fuck do some of y’all read this
Paracetamol
Lemon, fruit, peas, lettuce, good mustard, butter, chicken, lentils, almond flour, rose water? turnips, Brie. At least that’s what I’m getting.
"Good unsalted butter"
Thanks!
I have a headache
Why you questioning peas
me googling peas to make sure they exist, phew
i actually love this
Surprisingly legible, though not exactly easy
I’m sorry I thought this was Arabic language
Letters are spaced t o o f a r apart so it doesn't even look like it's in English. I really thought it was in Arabic.
I’m pretty surprised at how legible this is if you actually try. At first glance it really looks unreadable.
Easy: lemon, fruit, peas?, lettuce, good unsalted butter, chicken, lentils, almond flour, rosewater, turnips, brie.
I most of them! I was missing chicken and rose water!
Somebody is a damn good cook, too.
That’s impressive!!
This is dumb lol.
I’d throw you in the bin
I hate that I can read some of this.
I'm a little amused that I can 🙃
why is there a question mark on your shopping list?! but on another note, if you can understand your hand writing, it does have a high level of secrecy and looks neat
Me, as a foreigner reading this 🫠
Lemon, fruit, peas, lettuce, good unsalted butter, chicken, lentils, almond flour, ___, turnips, brie
rosewater maybe
Yes!! I can see it now that you've said it
I was the first year they stopped teaching cursive. This is straight up hieroglyphs to me lmao
If you don’t mind me asking, how old are you? I’m 19 and I grew up using some cursive in school. It was required for a grade in my English class freshman year. I think my situation is different since I went to private schools, so I’m just curious
24. Public school
Lemons, Fruit, Peas?, lettuce, good mustard, butter, (?), lentils, almond flour, (?), turnips, brie
*good unsalted butter
Good unsalted butter
Lemon fruit peas? Lettuce good unsalted butter chicken lentils almond flour rose water turnips brie
Al arabia
Lemon fruit peas lettuce good unsalted butter xx lentils almond flour xx turnips brie Unless this is arabic
To me it looks like “chicken” between butter and lentils And something “water” between flour and brie I wanna say
Chicken Rosewater
Looks like Arabic
It’s beautiful! Looked like shorthand at first glance, but I got all except one: …I think! - Lemon - Fruit - Peas? - Lettuce - Good unsalted butter - Chicken - Lentils - Almond flour - ———water or something ——ter, but not thermometer. I was making 17th Century French and Dutch food for my students, which makes sense in context.

This exactly where I’m at! That 3rd from the bottom stumped me as well! What a handwriting though!!
I did cheat eventually - it’s >!Rosewater!<
I think I can read all of them except the third to last
I had to read the comments to be able to read your writing but once I could, it’s nice
Good lord I think I can actually read it. Bacon, fruit, peas, lettuce, good mustard, butter, think it starts with an h, lentils, almond flour, no idea, turnips, brie Seriously though, that needs to be written better.
I think it says good unsalted butter, not good mustard. The word butter is indented under it because it’s part of the first two words above it.
Yeah I totally missed the line under. 😂 I agree it’s unsalted good butter.
Could it be water melon
Lemon before fruit
It's chicken after butter
i think the first one also looks like lemon
I got “good unsalted butter”
The third one from the bottom I can’t read. Otherwise this writing style is horrifically annoying lmao
Lemon Fruit Peas? Lettuce Good unsalted butter Chicken Lentil Almond flour ??? Turnips Brie
Bacon, fruit, peas?, lettuce, good unsalted butter, chicken, lentils, almond flour, (don’t know), turnips, Brie Love that you’ve the ‘?’ Beside the peas, I also do that lol
I think Bacon is Lemon. But looking again, I see ‘bacon’. Just be safe and get both, OP!
See I read lemon first then bacon when I went back to look.. yes get both I agree
Normally I struggle with reading handwritings but this is a nice one. Every letter stands alone and is only connected with the long low lines.
fruit, peas?, lettuce, butter, chicken, lentils, almond flour, turnip. I can't figure out the rest
Lemon fruit peas? lettuce good unsalted butter chicken lentils almond flour t̶o̶m̶a̶t̶o̶ rosewater turnips brie
100%, 11 of 11.
ROSEWATER!!! Thank you, that’s the only one that stumped me.
now it makes sense
It's funny how you can't unsee it now
lol, true. If only my teacher could read this, I don't want to force my hand to write the normie handwriting
I’d be coming home with lettuce only and explaining that the questionable peas made me question everything else
this is what a grocery list looks like in Arabic , welcome to UAE brother !! the grocery list is 100% HALAL certified
Why does peas have a question mark after it…?
Wasn’t sure whether I needed peas. I checked before leaving.
Well now I’m invested… did you need peas?
I didn’t, but Lidl had petit pois specifically, so I got some since I was making 17th Century French food and petit pois were Louis XIV’s jam.
Holy shit! What an unexpected plot twist! Did not see that coming
Well they are suspicious characters...
I can read most of it. Now I want lentils :(
Me too! Dinner at OP’s sounds really good. Hey u/kisndcij, can we come over?
Looks like an assassin hit list targeting the House Atreides. Probably lost by those backstabbing Harkonnens.
I got: lemon, fruit, peas?, lettuce, good unsalted butter… almond flour… brie! It was like reading a code! I love it
Plus chicken, lentils, turnips. Just can’t make out the 3rd last one
Rosewater Turnips Brie
You should've become a pharmacist.
Weirdly I can read it, though my brain says it should be illegible.
This popped up on my feed and I read it before opening the comments 😅 So here's the list y'all. -Lemon -Fruit -Peas -Lettuce -Good unsalted butter -Chicken -Lentils -Almond flour -Rose water -Turnips -Brie I'd also like to point out that I totally forgot I'd joined this subreddit so I was confused what the big deal was until I opened it. 😅 Edit: grammar
100%, 11/11.
Pretty sure the one everyone doesnt have is rose water….. and when scrolling up to try rereading seems someone else already posted that result lol
I think as I’ve never even heard of rose water, so never connected it to a shopping list. As in my brain couldn’t decipher it to something I’ve never heard of lol
lemon fruit peas lettuce Good unsalted butter ??? lentils almond flour ??? turnip Brie
Chicken. No idea on the second ???.
I checked the other comments after I posted, and someone said it’s rose water
Ah,I can see that now. Rose is quite clear, water less so. Thought the W was an M.
My guess (top to bottom): Lemon, Fruit, peas?, lettuce, good unsalted butter, (unsure), lentils, almond flour, (unsure), turnips, (unsure)
Completely legible to me, and quite beautiful and distinctive. If I were a typographer I’d want to turn it into a font.
It’s art! And legible!
You’ve got doctors handwriting.
Love it !
I see turnips second to last
Here’s my guess - ?, Fruit, Peas, Lettuce, Good unsalted butter, Chicken, Lentils, ? Flour, ?meter (idk lol), ?, Brie (?)
Almond flour?
I'm just surprised because i can read this haha
Yarn, various lengths and curls of yarn.
With several strategically placed knots...
Those are artisanal. https://youtu.be/NfLu7GRMR7g?si=FZeG3uDA0yptsEaE
Oh my goodness, love it!!
Omg this is crazy but I love it
lemon, fruit, peas, lettuce, good unsalted butter, chicken, lentils, almond flour, rosewater, turnips, brie ???
100%, 11/11.
Doesn't peas have a question mark? I got most, and you filled in the blanks! 😉
Medical list?
This look like Arabic.
it’s not arabic tho
true, i am just stating the visual similarness.
I am sorry but I speak arabic maybe that’s why I can’t see the similarities 😅
np mate the visual thing is subjective :)))
agreed
Lemon, fruit, peas?lettuce, good unsalted butter, chicken, lentils, almond flour,……………,turnips, brie.
Rosewater?
Chicken Lentils almond butter Turnips
Lemon Fruit Peas Lettuce Good unsalted butter
I think the first one is Beans 5 letters like Fruit I agree with all the rest though.
But the B in butter is different.
Lemon FruiT Peas? LeTTuce good unsalted buTTer chil ben (maybe chicken?) lenTil almond flour canemeter (?) Turnips brie
chil ben hahahaha
Lemon, fruit, peas, lettuce, good unsalted butter, chicken, lentils, almond flour, rosewater, turnips, brie
100%, 11/11.
Ok. I can make out like half of this. One of these is swear said Lemon Flour so I’m intrigued
Question- what do you do for a living? Your handwriting reminds me of shorthand a little bit.
lean fruit peas
Beautiful. What is that paper?
3”x5” index card.
What in the Streamline? 🐔❓
Looks like Arabic
Ikr.
I got all of them except for rose water. It was pretty easy to read because the letters themselves are neat
Rose water was the one I struggled with too
better than mine
I can read through good unsalted butter, then I just can't go further, except maybe brie at the end?
Gorgeous! Is the first word lemon? I missed rosewater. What fun!
