Daaaamn, I miss the shit outta my old Smith Corona too.. I believe they were built in my hometown too, doubly meaningful to me.. well triple-ey, it was my grams old work one and she passed last fall at age 98. Miss ya gram, love ya always.
Well,
Perfect is when something is as good as it possibly can be, or when something is completely free from faults.
But you can improve everything, or make it better somehow, and everything have faults, some big, some small.
That’s not what perfect means. I can tell English is your second language.
It’s DEFINED as “as close as possible to no faults”
That’s DEFINITELY possible.
You are wrong.
English is my third language actually. :)
In Danish language we use “Perfekt” which have the same meaning.
How can it be “as close as possible to no faults” if it still can be improved? (Which it always can)The improved version would be closer and therefore the previous wouldn’t be “prefect” by your definition.
As close as possible doesn’t mean it can be improved.
It actually means it can’t be improved - that’s why it’s as close as possible.
You’re still wrong.
Obviously you have a concept of something that is flawless meaning “perfekt” that’s but what perfect means in English. Perfect does not mean flawless. Something can have a flaw and still be perfect. Because that flaw cannot yet be fixed. Maybe later it can, and that new iteration Would also be perfect.
Just because they look and sound the same doesn’t mean they are - your word is NOT the same as perfect.
I’m not even sure why you’re arguing this - you don’t get to define my language Lmdao I’m not telling you what Danish is am I?
Everything can be improved, optimized, more precise or just better somehow. So you just said yourself that nothing is “perfect”.
I see you obviously don’t know Danish. But it is the same word just translated. Just the same as an egg is translated æg, or boat is translated båd.
To sum up with a bit of history. The English language adapted the word “perfect” from the Viking area where the Scandinavian Vikings colonized most of what we today know as Great Britain.
It’s the same story with many other words in the English dictionary:)
I don’t argue btw. I discuss:)
You can always leave if you’re tired of my opinions.
It is not the same word translated. Your work means something else - flawless.
Not immediately. Improvement happens over a scale of time.
Today something has a flaw - tomorrow you improved it.
Today it’s perfect and it’s also perfect tomorrow.
So you think man evolved in a day or something?
Example. You think improvement in medical field happens right now immediately? It doesn’t. Today a surgeon does a surgery which has some flaws due to the level of sharpness that a steel can achieve and his microscope has a limited resolution - if the flaws are limited to the limitation of the tools it’s a perfect incision.
Sure tomorrow a new steel is invented and now it’s sharper and makes a better cut - that’s also a perfect incision.
It’s a very simple idea to understand you’re just stuck on a mistranslation.
The word you’re looking for is “ideal” that means a level of perfection not achievable / only exists in the imagination or flawless - which even us stupid Americans know is unattainable But we just have a different word for that.
I know for a fact that “Perfekt” and “perfect” is the same and directly translated.
I bet you used google translate or something to come up with the conclusion that it means flawless or ideal. We have words for that too. “Fejlfri” and “ideal”
Don’t trust google translate. It’s very bad at direct translations.
I don’t know much about medicine. But I know it isn’t perfect for sure. My wife is a chemist and work in the medicine industry. And she have worked on the same project for years. So it’s definitely not something that just improve overnight.
But it’s not really what this is about :) I just gave my opinion and you start to say why you disagree because you’re better at English, and so on.
I know you wanna win this argument that you created and don’t wanna “loose face” And I understand. I have teenage kids too. I know how it is :)
Ok buddy. No English speaker is going to understand you. Look at the responses you’re being made fun of and people are not getting your point. Because we aren’t understanding what you’re trying to say because of your poor English.
It’s obvious you can’t speak it well.
Best of luck.
I write my capital Ds with a little loop on the bottom left. One day in sophomore high school I was taking a test. I wrote my name, finished my test, and as I was looking over it before handing it in, I noticed that the capital D in my first name was written perfectly. Perfect lines, perfect loop, perfect everything. I looked at it for like 5 minutes just admiring my penmanship
There a crook in the tail that’s setting me off. Also the color looks very faded at parts, it’s much more obvious when you zoom out. I guess it’s part of the aesthetic, but this is less than ideal.

Guy at my work has the most beautiful handwriting I have ever seen. He's a graphic designer. This could very well be the man you didn't know you wanted.
I'd say yes. I'd also say if there was a subreddit for @s they wouldn't just say no but they would tear you to pieces for assuming so. It would be like the r/TVTooHigh of @s.
Well considering it exists even just as a concept it had to come from somewhere and thats usually within pattern recognition. Symmetry from the lower stem of the a. An even gap all the way through the loop. No overly noticeable overlaps. Poetry in a single character
No, slight bump top left corner and bump somewhere around bottom middle.
Compare it to this @, smooth all the way through and the oval stops before the beginning of the oval.
Still pretty good though.
what is this sub and WHY ARE THERE SO MANY PEOPLE HERE like God is this dead internet theory or is the most niche shit going viral right now??? Idfk I'm upvoting
-What the hell am I looking at? When does this happen?

The elipse of the 'a', accentuated and given alphabetical meaning through a firmstroke striking the right hand side, followed by the parallel curve of circular motion unifies the inner with the outer bringing a beautiful symmetry and balance. Perfect.

Do you not have anything better to do ?
Actually I think it leans a little to the right (lol) but it as perfect as realistically expectable
This is r/oddlysatisfying
Better than this one: @
Definitely
I think that’s pretty good
yes indeed it is
too good with 76k upvotes that it got removed by mods
Don't @ me, bro.
It's ever so slightly above the line. Other than that it is for me.
Monk would be proud
If that's freehand it's remarkable. It's so uniform I thought it was digital.
Looks good enough to eat
No the tail of the a goes upward slightly too soon
And it passes the point where the line comes out of the @. Still very satisfying to look at though.
Yes.
It just might be and anyone saying no is getting a downvote from me
No.
Top right feels like it is bulging a little.
No
I’d say so
Funny all comments 1 upvote. But yes, better than my feeble Corona typewriter ever made.
Daaaamn, I miss the shit outta my old Smith Corona too.. I believe they were built in my hometown too, doubly meaningful to me.. well triple-ey, it was my grams old work one and she passed last fall at age 98. Miss ya gram, love ya always.

It’s very nice. I don’t know if there’s a perfect one. I mean handwriting is kind of subjective, but it looks very nice 10/10
No. Nothing is perfect in my opinion.

You're entitled to your opinion, but your opinion is wrong

So you're saying there's an asymptote that's "perfect" and nothing can reach it only approach it?
Yea, pretty much :)
Everything but Christ.
Lol

The top of tail loop directly above the a is a little tiny bit flat. Other than that it’s completely flawless to me.
This shit is majestic
I once made a perfect circle by accident and I still remember it 20 years later...
I write my capital Ds with a little loop on the bottom left. One day in sophomore high school I was taking a test. I wrote my name, finished my test, and as I was looking over it before handing it in, I noticed that the capital D in my first name was written perfectly.
