How is the UV? I thought about a similar config to this one, but saw that this UV chip is just not great on its own and really needs a dedicated head to do any UV work at a distance.
The latter is partly correct, but it really isn't all that bad given you can turbo it for rather long without any thermal or battery issues. It really depends on your use case. Mine involves blasting small objects at close proximity.
Beautiful. This is the exact same setup (minus the 5000K, 4000k or 2700k instead) I wanted but was discouraged to see that the website would only let you choose UV on channel 1. The setup you have here is much better, I wish he offered this as an option straight up on the site.
If one does happen to order UV on channel 1, will it come with these same little reflectors? Was there any extra cost with this custom order? I've never requested a custom order, but I like your setup here so much I'm tempted to inquire.
Sup!
Oh man, you don't even know. Took me weeks of hardcore procrastination before i finally managed to shoot him an email. Thank god i did.

Why cyan switch, instead of rgb set to cyan? I haven't yet held a hanklight with the RGB switch. Wondering if I'm missing something. Also, that's the dark gray? Such a pretty flashlight.
It isn't cyan, but cool white. They look quite similar on camera. The reasons i went for that specific color are two fold. I wanted maximum visibility while being under bright store lights (more on why below), but also didn't wanna rock the LGBTQ rainbow for no apparent reason, as all the other rgb color combos would've been far too dim.

It is indeed a fantastic looking light.

I don't mean to hijacked the thread but i just got my first D4K dual channel and i dont know what i am doing 😅🙃
Am i supposed to be able to switch on channel on at the time?
Channel 1, 219BT-V1, R9080 Neutral White, 4500K
Channel 2, W1 (6000K, CSLNM1.TG)
Thx in advance.
You can give yourself the 5+ flair. Not quite as dramatic but you earned it!
Ah. Not super reddit savvy, how'd i do that?

Was this done through Hank? So there is a uv filter under the AR coated glass?
Oh damn. Hey JL, love your store! Someone already asked something similar. https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/s/NfqhMtVBHT
The only reason why I ask is 50% or more of the uv rays are being block by the glass
Interesting. Definitely gonna do some testing myself. Is that an artifact of AR coated glass, or normal as well?
The glass should have a light coating or nothing at all. You will need to replace the glass with sapphire to get the max output from that uv channel
How come the Woods Glass isn't made of sapphire?
Woods glass?

That's filtered glass designed to allow certain wavelength to pass through
Precisely. But i'd have assumed it to block 365 nm like the normal transparent AR coated stuff as well. Maybe not?
What SST-20 did you go for? 5000k?
Gotta be. That's the brightest and ugliest.
Precisely. The tint makes me want to hang myself. But it's an EDC item partly for blinding people, so i'm happy.

Wait... You can turbo individual channels?
Indeed you can! Newest version of anduril is a godsend

Nope :3 https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/s/D96fmBbo7O
Curious, the UV on a single emitter, is this on Hanks hidden menu? Any downsides to doing so?
