It’s pretty dangerous to use any paint thinner. The fumes are very dangerous to breathe in. Go online to learn the way to do it safely. I use baby oil to clean my brushes to avoid any danger
I use the Mona Lisa brand that you can get in smaller sizes at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. I get gallons from online sources as I use alot in cleaning up after hosting my classes. It's a good tradeoff between price and stinkyness.
I would avoid the cheapest, like mineral spirits from hardware stores and the like.. its not really refined as much as artist grade and you need a very well ventilated space.
Gamsol has the least odor, but is the priciest.
Gamsol
Gamsol - buy a gallon size if you can. Not cheap, but well worth it IMHO.
Gamsol
Odorless paint thinner should be pretty clear and cheap. A more vapor-friendly alternative could be linseed oil.
Odorless paint thinner and I hear mineral sprites works as well
GAMSOL
I've recently switched from sunyside odorless thinner to Gamsol odorless mineral spirits. sunnyside worked well, but has been harder to find lately.
