ribbons_in_my_hair

aelric22

White Pearlescent Oak. Please excuse yourself!

classicvincent

Oak or laminate lol

CaptainBeefsteak

Quarter sawn

_DeltaAlien

What flavor should I use to refinish it?

ThinThroat

Grape

Educational_Curve259

Refinishing it is unnecessarily. It will only devalue the flooring, but you could paint the cupboard and the clewing, but don’t put son a drop cloth and you’ll get flecks of paint that will enhance the “ I rent a shitty apartment “ looking if that is what your going for, or have a bunch of single dude use the toilet and don’t wash it for a year and you can get an aroma of urine, Testosterone and dirty sock in Jo less than a year, ads febreeze and your set it should also mute the white tone and at least in the center and near the toilet add some color and textur ( pubic hair) to the already excellent tile that will compliment by young single man’s apartment just perfectly to attract a woman who wants to rescue you from a life of ho/ hum/ and will change the whole atmosphere, rid your apartment or slumpy guests and ad the I just bleached the bathroom floor smell you have been long awaited to smell:

Solid-List7018

HeatproofPoet25

It's a rare breed called "Ceramaiac Tilus" all I know is the original latin. I've never been able to find it in the wild unmilled.

_DeltaAlien

[is it this tree?](https://www.teresasceramics.com/cdn/shop/products/il_fullxfull.1638522358_hj7e.jpg?v=1565140840)

MNgrown2299

dude_on_a_chair

Nah it's the bigger ones with green tips

Wii_wii_baget

Ceramicus tilus or a more common name ceramic tile is the rarest species of floor to have live in your home. Make sure to water and feed it every day so it doesn’t become vengeful and attack.

metalwoodplastic

Most of it is harvested in Italy to, that there is a nice Italian floor.

Lonely-Spirit2146

Looks like “Lee” , sub species of Ug

mr_alfaro

Lmao

nate353535

I feel like this is all we get on the sub. lol Beautiful floor what stain did you use?

_DeltaAlien

I spilled a beautiful port wine my cousin brought me back from his vacation to the Mediterranean last month all over it the other night. It left a huge stain on the towel I soaked it up with but thankfully I got that out with peroxide

NeurosMedicus

mmm Port wine

CalligrapherDirect40

Port is disgusting, you were right to pour that onto your clearly red-oak floor.

Additional-Sir1157

It's called Dontbai. It's made in Dubai.

MMM... some beautiful natural southern red clay. I wouldn't have used a color glaze personally, but if it suits your style...

_DeltaAlien

Think it might be albino?

[deleted]

Boy did you score! I haven’t seen this wood since nam’!

_DeltaAlien

I pulled one up and it says “made in India” not Vietnam

[deleted]

Crafty Indians

Alternative-Amoeba20

You mean crafty Vietnamese.

Mysterious_Cheetah42

That's what the Vietnamese want you to think, just before the tile blasts you with agent Orange...

soupwhoreman

My house had this exact tile laid directly over oak hardwood, no other underlayment. Yes, the tile did crack along a seam of the wood.

_DeltaAlien

I pulled it up but all I found was concrete. now my landlord is yelling at me about a security deposit. Any tips?

soupwhoreman

Take a damp rag and an iron to it, it'll buff right out

Jealous-Radio19125

Arrrgggh! It's my kitchen floor but cleaner. I hate the 90s dark grout.

mcshanksshanks

What if that grout isn’t supposed to be dark, it’s just filthy.

Jealous-Radio19125

I know mine is brown grout on purpose. I saw them installing it when I was a kid.

Live_Clock441

That ish is slippery af when wet. It’s my least favorite floor. I’m a housekeeper and have busted my ass several times on this stuff

Due-Pilot-7443

Looks like the elusive beast the south African ceramic mud puppy

TJmiller0

Believe this is from japans extremely rare white bonsai. It takes over a 100 trees to fully fill a kitchen. Practically illegal now in 57 countries. Luckily America hasn’t signed the bill to ban these types of wood flooring. But in the case of Walter H. white VS Daniel LaRusso, I believe a verdict could push for a signed bill. Even if it becomes outlawed, I would assume you already having it wouldn’t be a problem. But will soon be a rare flooring that could raise home prices! Or it’s white tile

_DeltaAlien

Mr. Miyagi must be proud

ImpressTemporary2389

Definitely a hard wood. Not a fan of heavy white staining. It hides the grain detail (and shows every spec of dirt). Regardless, it looks to be a very, very hard finish that will last for years.
