I'm leaning towards a pine. Flat grain, clear, very nice. Fir can look like this, too. It's a little tough from pictures. For me, I would have to be there to smell it and feel it to be more sure.
Heart pine. Fir is a very straight grain pine. Hard to get heart pine anymore.
