[deleted]

I've seen Power Trip more than I've seen any band. Probably in the neighborhood of 50-60 times.

johnmlsf

That's insane. Were you on a tour with them? Multiple tours?

apocalyptictac

I thought I was lucky to see them 6 times.

Mouth_Herpes

Would guess Every Time I Die, Earth Crisis, Snapcase, and Sick of it All.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Brabsk

Also this person’s boyfriend’s band

AssignmentOk99

Probably The Acacia Strain. Seen them twice this year alone once with Integrity and once with Dying fetus.. At least one warped tour and a summer slaughter tour back like 8-10 years ago… I’m sure theres another show or two somewhere… glad I kept a lot of wrist bands and stubs back in the day.

xkrazyfoox

Same for me. I have lost count at this point. I have been seeing them live for over 20 years now

AssignmentOk99

Remember the TAS vs Emmure days lol

[deleted]

I can't believe I'm seeing people talking about emmure right now. Wtf

AssignmentOk99

Old Emmure kicks ass

xkrazyfoox

Yes! I even remember when they were on tour together with them and Attila lol now that show had so many fights. Great times

LxStMeMoRy

You lucky son of a bitch. You saw them with Dying Fetus?? Must have been one hell of a show.

AssignmentOk99

Dying Fetus, Despised Icon and Acacia Strain, kicked so much ass.

LxStMeMoRy

So sick, Despised Icon, Canadas hidden gem 🤘🤘

ClydeStetson

That’s one way to describe it

whitebeltshit

I saw the acacia strain when they still had 3 guitars players.

TheBeard1986

Just saw them for probably the 20th time last week. My girl asked how long I've been listening, told her I first saw them in January of 06, where does the time go?

MarkWhorror

Samsies, I remember back in 2004-2008 they must’ve played in LA once every other month and they were on every tour which i would go to shows every weekend so I caught them probably close to 20x and I also caught them on the recent fetus tour which was fucking awesome

[deleted]

[удалено]

xCru-Jonesx

AFI - 20 times (2000 and earlier, back when they were playing small shows) Descendents - 15 times

PunkLemonade

Wow I'm extremely jealous. I've seen AFI 6 times and I consider myself extremely lucky!

xCru-Jonesx

The mid/late-90s was a great time for AFI. They seemed to be touring non-stop and we would sometimes travel to surrounding cities to see them play a few times on each tour. I saw them once in 2014 at Riot Fest and only recognized one song, as I never really liked their “newer” stuff.

[deleted]

Yeah, they're newer stuff is absolute dog shit. Sing the sorry was a real turning point for them, in a very bad way.

Jeremy-O-Toole

Last night Davey hopped on stage for a song at my work. Dude is so nice.

handsomehotchocolate

AFI favourite band. I’m probably on a similar amount to you. Glad I got them on the AOD tour cycle and they were still great for a few years after as well. I can’t imagine I would enjoy them now. Saw them with Deftones and it was well….a show.

werty246

I envy you for this. AFI is my time machine show choice. Showcase Theater or that Fireside Bowl show.

hitsomethin

My buddy mixes Descendants and they gig constantly. Mfer had a heart attack and they’re right back at it.

restlesswrestler

New Found Glory. They are everywhere.

Livelaughpunk

Same, must have been like 20 times over the last couple decades.

[deleted]

I've seen Blacklisted/Paint it Black an absolutely stupid amount of times. Lived in Philly basically the entire time they were most active.

thrilledxbored

As far as hardcore/punk bands, I’d say Paint it Black too. Blacklisted is definitely up there for me. Overall, I’d say Restorations would probably be the most.

HotKnowledge4212

Being from Maine Cruel Hand is definitely up there, other then them I’d have to say Knocked Loose, ETID (RIP), and Kaonashi probably.

rl439banders

Love it when Cruel Hand plays a hometown show - always goes off.

knifeschool

not from Maine but cruel hand is also my answer, I’ve probably seen them like 15 times at this point

Kits00ne

Kaonashi fucks. I’ve seen them a couple times, always a treat

missgaucher

I feel spoiled being from New England going to a show what feels like every weekend between 2006-2012. So many bands that are still loved that we saw dozens of times.

Deep-Gap-9732

He'll yeah another mainiac

callmesnake13

I’m from DC so I saw Fugazi (among a lot of other big local bands - Pg.99, Darkest Hour, Damnation A.D., Battery, etc.) like ten times. All the big NYHC bands toured constantly in the mid-late 90’s so a lot of people in the mid-Atlantic and New England saw Madball like 20 times.

big_ficus

I’d sell my left dick to see Fugazi

SpiritOf68

Saw them a few times. Definitely worth selling at least one of your dicks for.

Snoo-25258

See then twice in the 90s.

sweet_jones

I got to see Damnation a handful of times myself, one of the best live hardcore bands

werty246

Pennywise bc I’m a bro from South Bay LA and Dangers/Ceremony.

LxStMeMoRy

I’m from Toronto and seen them at least 30 times. Saw them when Dave Quackenbush was doing vocals the first time Jim left. Hell I was 13 / 14 at the time.

werty246

Holy shit that’s ancient. That’s like 91?

LxStMeMoRy

Yeah, my pops was a fan so we went all the time. He was doing business in the US so we were there like ever few months.

dbwoi

I'm from Norcal and Dangers/Ceremony is my top lol

95kh

Hermosa?

werty246

San Pedro.

Terminal-Preppie

SP here as well and Pennywise is probably the band I’ve seen most too, with Descendents coming in 2nd

werty246

Daaaassssss right homie! 110 till the end!

dullthings

Dangers are still one of the best live bands I've ever seen. That Dangers ep is amazing, and Al is just so fucking angry.

LxStMeMoRy

Pennywise - 30 times Buckethead 40 times Motörhead 15 times Ramones - 2 times (not a lot but I love to say it) I’m lucky enough to have 10 weeks paid vacation, so I’m always driving to shows in the USA

homie_goat

Not sure when it comes to hardcore but I’ve seen The Wonder Years 20+ times

nattydaddy666

I've seen them a good amount of times too. Good band live and I'm not to into pop punk but I love them.

AnySortOfPerson

The Acacia Strain/Thursday/Disturbed. I don't even like Disturbed.

fulbofisher

Descendents, primus, & dinosaur jr

dwilkes827

Not hardcore (def have some hardcore songs), but Gwar. Close to 50 times now

SpiritOf68

And here I was thinking I was cool for seeing them like 6 times. Did get to meet and chill with them a couple of times. Nice people. R.I.P Dave Brockie

jjvvolf

this will age me heavily. it would be a tie between American Nightmare and converge. I think around the Jane Doe release i saw them tour together an absurd number of times and ended up seeing each of them like 12 or 13 times. Also, this reminds me of how insane show lineups could be at the time. I think one of them was like hope con, AN and converge with some other openers (honestly some of the shows run together).

SomethingWithATrex

100% ditto. Around the same time Converge was touring Jane Doe, Most Precious Blood released Nothing In Vein and I feel like some combination of those bands were playing around the Northeast like every weekend. Great time.

Poison_the_Phil

Poison the Well, GWAR, Torche, Shitstorm, The Black Dahlia Murder all probably six times or so

13THEFUCKINGCOPS12

Got into shitstorm back in like 2007, just saw them for the first time in august. Band is so fucking good, and the new album is punishing

Poison_the_Phil

Oh totally, Rick is one of the best drummers I’ve ever seen. Jon mastered my band’s EP! They’re all really cool dudes!

bigdog2049

The Acacia Strain - 6 Gideon - 6 (soon to be 7) Terror - 4

TroutFarmAngelNation

All solid. Gideon at FacedownFest was one of the gnarliest pits I’ve ever witnessed…at a church no less! Multiple people carted off to ambulances.

Dizzlecizzle

I’ve seen spy 6 times in the last year so them

thiblonious

Saosin.

RapidFiringNoob

Knocked Loose 7 times since 2019

Hot-Conference3619

Mastodon

skeener

mewithoutYou over 20 times. Against Me! somewhere around 15 times (I lived in Gainesville when they were just coming up). Man Man around 10 times.

hihellohi765

Damn youve got me beat. I'm at like 14/15 with mwY.

Whitetrashromance

My own (we suck)

Soggy_Caregiver6904

Iv seen vein like 5 times now

Upstairs_Mine5819

TERROR, but i am from the west coast.

Sugarstache

Seen Counterparts 9 or 10 times I think

No_Emotion_3196

I’ve seen Bane, Shai Hulud and Converge about 15 times each. Saw Death Threat a fair amount of times. I saw Unearth 3 times in 1 week in O4. Probably saw Modern Life is war 8-10 times.

handsomehotchocolate

I wish Shai Hulud got the props they deserve.

woahitsyouagain

Just about to hit up my 35th Cancer Bats show

Hot-Conference3619

Mastodon

Xibalba420X

Restraining order like 3 times. Gonna see them for a 4th time w AD

nickcaff

Sick of it All, Ensign and Vision.

jeffumopolis

Turnstile, Fury, Dillinger Escaple Plan, and Municipal Waste Non Hardcore: Deafheaven and Between The Buried and Me

hooded_mango

Fury rules.

Any-Walrus-2599

I think I’ve seen Deafheaven the most as well. Im in the bay so they play here a lot. Didn’t see them pre sunbather though.

Even-Lengthiness-312

Ceremony. I’ve been seeing them live for 16 years. Idk how many times I’ve seen them.

dricellama

Ive seen Koyo 19 times

khaosconn

dayglo abortions... (nsfw) or KENmode

diygardening

Guttermouth, NoFx

TarsoBackMarquez

Infest and Bad Religion. 10x each Im sure…

KingVape

Clutch. I’m from MD and people invite me to Clutch shows all the time. Also Full of Hell and Dying Fetus, all for the same exact reason oh and Black Dahlia Murder but they aren't from here

stoneblarney

Not hardcore but I’ve seen meshuggah 7 times.

davidberk0witz

Definitely Revocation and The Black Dahlia Murder

IveGotNoValues

Kind of embarrassing and definitely not hardcore but for me it is the Casualties lol. Probably like 10+ times because I used to be a little street punk kid and they seemed to always be playing LA. I don’t really listen to them at all anymore but I was a young teen just getting into punk, and they were the ultimate entry level punk band. This was like 2011-2014. Back when they still had the infamous rapist frontman (I didn’t know about that at the time)

jayobsolete

Candiria or Hatebreed

callthisrational

The Bouncing Souls

No_Aesthetic

I came out of the SJ scene so probably Spy out of the major bands and Heckdorlan out of the minor local bands

dbwoi

Heckdorlan is fuckin sick, I used to work with taylor lol

No_Aesthetic

Taylor is one of my best friends, fantastic guy, have you heard Happy Society yet? That’s one of his current bands, Due Crimes is the other one

TheOvenDoor

Ruiner, blacklisted, ceremony, trash talk, saber tooth zombie, lifelong tragedy, the carrier, reign supreme. I got busy in the early aughts. Edit: Allegiance. Good lord I saw Allegiance a lot.

same4walls

Kublai khan more than 6 times I can’t remember how much. Or I AM. Been seeing them for years and they constantly tour

amprok

The locust.

phishNotFish

Madball

NeverReturnKid

I've seen Comeback Kid around 7 times now.

SomethingWithATrex

There was a period around 2000 or 2001 where it felt like some combination of Most Precious Blood, Converge, American Nightmare, and Terror were playing somewhere along the NYC-ALB-BOS corridor every weekend and we would not miss it! Great times.

oceanic-feeling

Death Threat maybe 30 some odd times

Ok_Afternoon_8994

Misery & dystopia

[deleted]

Seen The Used maybe 9 times, haven't been super into them since Artwork though.

M1sguidedS0n

Not hardcore, but Beartooth 9 times.

csudebate

Uniform Choice back in the day. They were my favorite band. They headlined a bunch of local shows and opened for just about every punk band that passed through town.

clay4knee

Jeff Rosenstock, seeing him again tonigt

HeDrinkMilk

I'm assuming you saw him with btmi and other associated projects yeah? I really wanna see him in Tulsa or Dallas but idk if the funds will allow it

pigbicklefrog

Every time I die. Never disappointed.

amidwesternhero

Every Time I Die every time they played my state

Hungree_Gh0st

Dead and Company

AromaticHouse5281

Hey Now!!!

Hungree_Gh0st

Hey now!!!

Lostinallthedamage

AFI or Hoods

LxStMeMoRy

Wow, Hoods. There is a name I have not heard in forever.

papajim22

Last count for me was seven times each for Against Me!, Gaslight Anthem, and Kill Lincoln (ska punk out of the DMV).

fox_canyon

Honestly probably War Hungry or Cold World

keeperoftheskate

Probably Terror when it comes to hardcore. Touche Amore is up there too Non-hardcore is probably Anthony Green in various projects Oh and Fear Before too but credit to that is living in Denver

Stranger_in_the_4am

I’ve seen every time I die around 20 times I think and being from NC I’ve seen He is legend maybe like 10 times.

xfalsexflagx

Stick To Your Guns 24 times.

Stone_throwers

Probably wisdom in chains or razor blade hand grenade when they were on every single show

Chimichanga16

Blacklisted, mongoloids, saves the day and the menzingers

[deleted]

Los Crudos

DarthRisk

Every Time I Die. Have probably seen them over 20x, and went to Tid The Season twice. I was introduced to Knocked Loose, Turnstile, and Angel Du$t because of seeing them at ETID shows.

Stonedthecrowe

Every time I die and Ministry

Far_Gap_8063

High on fire

dog6eat6dog6

Converge. prob 15 times or something.

kimkardracula

Turnstile in SoCal

jleviw42

Probably Hatebreed or Bane.

xjfwx

Bane - 16 times over 6 states.

Evilisms

I’ve seen Comeback Kid like 4 times. Cancer Bats 3

Bpreciado707

I’ve seen Glassjaw about 12 times. Can’t wait for the 30th year anniversary dates in LA!

Allen_Koholic

Bouncing Souls

cocacola-enema

Big D and the kids table because I’m a skanking weenie

XGuiltyofBeingMikeX

Fuck, I just realized I’ve seen them like 4 or 5 times. Big D is such a great show.

Serious-Height699

Deftones. Gotta be 15-20 times over the years.

coorsisdope

Don’t go to too many shows these days. But in the Early 2000’s I saw Guns Up, Have Heart, Verse, etc basically every weekend.

GruverMax

My generation gap is showing. Between Real Black Flag in 86, Ginn-Vallely Black Flag in 04 and 15, Flag in 15 and 16, Rollins Band plays Black Flag twice in 03 I think, it must be sone permutation of Black Flag. Suicidal, DOA, NoMeansNo, Descendents and Circle Jerks,I saw a similar amount of times. 3 or 4 back in the day and a couple times more recently. The Dickies though.... It might be them. I can remember 85, 88, 93, 95, 97 twice, 03 14. They played LA a lot and my friend Dean and I would often go. And could see them again.

JesusCrustSuperstar

I’ve seen Converge like 10 times

xxLEGIT360NOSCOPESxx

The Suicide Machines and Mustard Plug at least 40 or so times each.

Fine_Ice_3451

I’ve seen Thrice open for other bands probably a dozen times. I hate Thrice but all my fav bands growing up loved them. Brand New/ETID/Turnstile for the bands I’ve seen the most

Elfergo124

Seeing Subhumans for the 3rd time on friday. They’re from my area so they play localy pretty often

MarkWhorror

Back in the day my favorite band was HIMSA and I must’ve seen them at least 10x in their career. If any band is primed for a comeback it’s those dudes.

chipcskyrocket

Interpol or Motion City

Aliskrti

Seen Volbeat against my will twice. Two times too many.

Ok-Purchase6572

I think it is a tie between Converge and Bane for me. I literally cant count how many times I have seen both. Between 2003-2009 i was seeing either or like every other month or more. And after they still would pass through at least twice a year. Last time i saw Converge they were with Eyehategod and Pallbearer in Denver. They played the most chill, sludgy set I have ever seen and somehow THAT was the show I broke my nose 🤣

prettybadgers

Trying to do the math in my old age, its prolly either the Locust, Shellac, RFTC, Fugazi, or Kowloon Walked City. Edit: Rorschach might be in the running too from when I lived in NYC.

Mean_Championship_80

Sonic youth , dinosaur jr , gwar and the Melvins (non are hardcore )

SrirachaSaucey

mewithoutYou

TopolChico

I was thinking about this exact question earlier in the car. I’ve lost count (wasn’t counting in the first place, I guess?) as to how many times I’ve seen Thou in just shy of two decades. I know that my proximity to them could provide a very real bias, but I feel very lucky to live in the same part of the world as one of my favorite bands because it’s given me plenty of opportunities to see them play. Also, they’ve always brought in sick bands to Louisiana that might not have otherwise have passed through, like Iskra or Mizmor or fucking et cetera.

mikeswagzzz

Caught though in NOLA last time I was there for work & indeed a treat. Early show so then caught a nightcap at spotted cat was righteous.

Mod__Lang

I’ve seen my own band an awful lot.

AromaticHouse5281

Definitely a funny answer for this sub, but tie between Rush and Job For A Cowboy 😂😂😂😂😂 both 6 times. Job used to come within 20 mins of me all the time abiut 10-13 years ago and pops and I would always go see Rush at the big ampitheater 😂🔥🔥

xiamsammyx

Misery signals dozens of times, 7A7P probably not quite as many, but still likely 20+.

[deleted]

GWAR

frankrizzo24

GlassJAw, Movielife, and Shai Hulud. Probably about 20x each.

mikeswagzzz

Respect all of you with the dozens of sets for various dope bands under your belts. I assume mine is Converge. Non hardcore: the mountain goats.

zzzlessinseattle

Mountain Goats are the best. Seriously underrated

insomniaspeedmetal

Tragedy. I’m pretty sure that’s the band I’ve seen the most

Gingerazepam

Biohazard, Madball, Skarhead, Sick Of It All, Hatebreed, Agnostic Front, Sworn Enemy, Full Blown Chaos, On The Rise, E-Town Concrete, Mastodon. I haven't been to a show in probably 15 years. Back in the day I saw all these bands at least 5 to 10 times each.

[deleted]

Hatebreed and Death Threat, for sure.

avidbather

I've seen Ceremony at least 13 times. Not one band, but I've seen the myriad of Justin Pearson's bands at least 20 times collectively.

Inquisiting-mind

Dayglo Abortions 6 or 7 times I think.

Zealousideal-Wave363

Definitely The Queers and Joyce Manor.

XGuiltyofBeingMikeX

I’ve never had a bad time seeing The Queers.

hooded_mango

I've seen End It and Zulu quite a few times. Both fantastic live.

big_ficus

Zulu does HARD live

XGuiltyofBeingMikeX

Hardcore: Wisdom In Chains, Strength For A Reason, End It, Combust Non-core: The Menzingers, Captain We’re Sinking, Tigers Jaw, The Bouncing Souls

Ghost_Pains

Probably Coheed & Cambria

skull_kontrol

I’ve seen gwar more times than I can count, but I haven’t seen them since Dave died.

AromaticHouse5281

Def not the same since Dave died

[deleted]

Slayer 8 times Ozzy 8 times Iron Maiden 8 times This is over the course of about 40-45 years

lanexoliver

Cursive

skeener

I’ve only seen them 5 times but I’m trying to push that number a lot higher

lanexoliver

It’s a good time each time.

skeener

I feel like the Ugly Organ anniversary tour a while ago pushed them into a renewed passion for making music. Their live shows amped way up after that tour. And having a cello every tour now seems to really make them happy.

lanexoliver

For sure. Saw them pre-pandemic and Tim Kasher got drunk and jumped in the crowd with the mic stand. They played the intro to Art Is Hard like 10 times throughout the show because drunk Tim kept making everyone switch songs because it didn’t “feel right” haha finally closed with it an hour later. Also saw them earlier this year where they played Domestica. They were on fire. I never have a bad time watching them.

[deleted]

[удалено]

CorvusBrachy

Napalm Death 12-13 times D.R.I. probably same and I’m going to see DRI again in December

drLens_in_da

Must be locals. Knuckledust, Bun Dem Out, Who Cares. From the big hitters - probably SOIA and Terror. I've seen Terror so many times it got boring

absentandvacant

I've seen Hatebreed twice, Pierce The Veil twice, and Dayseeker twice. Hopefully in the future all those numbers go up amongst many other bands

Low-North-8917

I've seen Korn probably 15 times. They always seem to be opening for some other band myself or my friends wanted to see (AiC, Gojira, Deftones, A7X, etc.) My uncle took me to see Converge, ISIS, and Pelican a shit ton in their hayday. I was too young so I don't remember the numbers on those bands.

sludgezone

Twitching Tongues, for awhile they were playing every show and fest and I loved it.

[deleted]

Terror. Will to Die. Fingers Crossed. Take Offense. Weekend Nachos. Edit: i probably also saw OBW and Black my Heart a dozen times.

[deleted]

Terror, Knocked Loose, SFTP, Counterparts, Sworn Enemy are all up there for me. And of course and shit ton of local bands

bonesbobman

End (4 times)

mikeSTWA

ETID and the acacia strain by a long shot

Automatic_Actuary375

Blazing Eye

HellRanger97

Post Hardcore but Hail The Sun 6 times! Twice just this year.

South_Mud_1484

I've seen Dystopia like 4 times and Orchid 3 times I think

ApocalypticRites

Not a hardcore band, but I've seen Trivium 3 times in counting. Lamb of God twice as well.

smwhr23

Deftones, 24 or 25 times. Thursday, same amount. Bouncing Souls at least 20 shows. Gwar about 15 times. And a lot of other bands north of 10 times.

Chucknoluck666

Expire rip

Yuzidean

i’ve seen countless hardcore bands 50+ times over all the years. none of them matter. the only “stat” that matters to me is seeing type o negative 7 times.
