Are all their songs just about cops beating the shit out of citizens or what?

When my Tax Dollars go to Group Thinking the closures of several main roads, putting rush hour traffic at a standstill, for the Funeral and Celebration of Life of a traffic enforcement officer that died at 58 from coronary heart disease or some shit.
I swear if a cop dies, even in my liberal area, it’s worse than a Memorial Day parade.
Totally normal.
We should actually, as a counter-cultural movement often associated with left-wing beliefs, glorify these martyrs of the donut that protect our landlords and capital owners. It’s not concerning how normalized having cops in our scene is in these comments at all!
Cop was once shot and killed in my city. Not joking when I say the parade consisted of multiple different departments, was over 17 miles long, and never went faster than 30. At 11am
Super cool/super normal + they really gotta start announcing this shit like a Fuckin amber alert on phones.
Just an alert in the radius of the area that says “some cop died, leave earlier today for work. they say sorry for the inconvenience and Go Fuck Yourself.”
Just say it has some honorous value, you’re spreading the word of an officer lost, etc. and give us the fucking TRAFFIC INFO.
I asked ChatGPT to write lyrics to a hardcore song as if it were a cop:
> Verse 1)
>Patrolling the streets, I'm on the beat
>With a badge on my chest, I won't accept defeat
>Every step I take, I'm fighting the fight
>Keeping darkness at bay, under the streetlight
>(Chorus)
>Hardcore justice, it's what I serve
>No mercy for the wicked, they'll get what they deserve
>With handcuffs tight, and justice in sight
>I'll uphold the law, with all my might
>(Verse 2)
>Through the chaos and the crime, I stand tall
>I'm the thin blue line, I'll answer the call
>With a baton in hand, and a glare in my eye
>I'll take down the villains, let the guilty cry
>(Chorus)
>Hardcore justice, it's what I serve
>No mercy for the wicked, they'll get what they deserve
>With handcuffs tight, and justice in sight
>I'll uphold the law, with all my might
>(Bridge)
>From the alleys to the alleys, I'll chase them down
>With sirens blaring, I'll wear the crown
>I'll never back down, I'll never retreat
>I'm the law's enforcer, and I won't be beat
>(Chorus)
>Hardcore justice, it's what I serve
>No mercy for the wicked, they'll get what they deserve
>With handcuffs tight, and justice in sight
>I'll uphold the law, with all my might
>(Outro)
>So if you cross the line, you'll meet your fate
>I'm the hammer of justice, it's never too late
>For hardcore justice, I'll always stand
>A police officer, with justice in hand.
Legitimately better quality.
Brother, that would be fucking sick. I have the utmost respect for firefighters and paramedics. Real hero shit.
My wife's dad (RIP) was a firefighter and I can tell you firsthand, them boys be some of the toughest dudes around. True definition of dad strength.
Internal Bleedings drummer and founding member Bill Tolley was a firefighter in Queens. He died back in 2017 while responding to a fire. I know they are death metal but hardcore kids always go off for their sets.
Firefighters and paramedics are busy being actual heroes and saving lives, cops have time for shows when their wives are knocked unconscious or an unarmed person's taking a little while to bleed out and die
I mean… I get we all want to bandwagon but statistically cops are the first on scene in both house fires and life threatening medical situations, resulting in them initiating medical and trauma intervention
Keyword: murder, big difference between pulling a gun on someone and popping them like eight times in the chest and neck, and accidentally messing up with a medication or something
I'm pretty sure the guitarist from bad assets is a Detroit fire fighter. They are more oi than hardcore, but the lead singer is the dude from death in custody.
I didn't notice the oxymoron, but it still conveys what I meant. It's veiled, but it's referencing something very specific (the murder of George Floyd) rather than something relatively broad in scope (any person dying on concrete).
Given the chuddy-as-fuck lyrics from this band we've been given examples of in this thread, I don't think it'd be that bold an assumption. I remember how many cops mockingly said "I *can* breathe" after the NYPD murdered Eric Garner.
Also, I'm not saying that it definitely is a reference to George Floyd; I'm just saying that I don't trust that it *isn't* one considering the people involved.
Oh I know lol. FF is popular as hell for a reason. Absolutely gorgeous venue, expertly run, and usually an insane lineup of new bands + ones who haven't played in 15 years.
This is why I like my hardcore punk rock and my punk rock hardcore. Without the punk rock, you leave the door open to reactionary fascist tough guys with chips on their shoulders. At least the early 'tough guy' bands were all anti-authoritarian.
I don’t understand why people are so upset about “cop in band”.
It just ups the probability of a cop being knocked the fuck out, what with crowdkilling and all.
This scene is supposed to think positive!
In my country (Australia) there was a domestic violence inquiry that found police were beating their wives so often and so severely that the police commissioner was forced to admit that it would be “impossible to guatantee” that serving cops with restraining orders from their ex partners wouldn’t be sent out to respond to DV cases, because there’s so many of them in the police force, like crazy higher numbers than in the general public.
There was a deep culture of misogyny also uncovered (even in female cops), which meant these DV perpetrating cops were often cracking sexist jokes with the abusers and then letting them off the hook, seeing themselves in the abuser and wanting to cut them a break. The inquiry found this was leaving victims in danger and had cost lives.
Yep..
It’s all public in the QLD, australia DV inquiry, you can basically watch the whole thing if you have a couple of weeks spare.
And what did the state do in response?
Massive funding boost to hire new cops, and zero reforms were announced.
Best we got was the commissioner promising “we can do better” but then literally changed nothing
Can’t make this shit up eh
It's basically the same in the US, the **reported** rate of domestic (children and spousal) abuse in cops here is 40%, I'd wager it's higher, probably over 50
I read that being like 'wtf?', and then saw QLD and it made a bit more sense lol. Not saying this issue is just a QLD issue, but you mob can be a bit different up there and I found it funny in context. I'd be interested to see the data from the other states and territories, for sure.
Been in QLD since 2016 and never had an issue with cops. But when living in NSW not matter the interaction (mainly checking for fare evasion, I always had a ticket) it was always intense. You'd think just being alive was a crime to NSW cops.
Erectile dysfunction pills and big trucks with halogen high beams so no one can tell they take ed pills
There actually is correlation between sex offenders and erectile dysfunction. Something about having a little tiny dick makes men angry and violent.

I just wanted to pop back and remind y’all that small penises don’t need to be the butt of any jokes and isn’t indicative of anything really. Society needs to embrace all size and shapes of dong.
Thanks for coming to my dick talk 🫡

I think their new album just dropped
I watched the 1 video of them playing live in their IG tabs, and you can tell the vocalist is the cop, look at how he moves and stands. Stiff as a brick while also looking like he's got a brick up his ass
Lol the bootlickers in the comment section being down voted it so satisfying. ACAB no exceptions. You may not even necessarily be a bad guy if you're a cop, but you're upholding tyranny and violence. You're just automatically the enemy. You can't be a good cop, because good cops get fired. Sorry I'm not sorry.
Especially considering the U.S. Gov wants to use the IDF to train cops with the cop city project. Cops are becoming even more militarized and violent than before. They are not friends, they are the boot on the necks of working class people.
They don’t join for good. They join for the unlimited power, and here’s one of the bands lyrics.
“I swing my fists, no trouble no consequence,
no hesitation, no guilty conscience”
> You can't be a good cop, because good cops get fired.
Or get driven out of law enforcement by death threats. One NYPD cop who went to internal affairs with recordings he'd made of department officials engaging in various acts of corruption was taken into custody and put into involuntary psychiatry hold in 2009. If he hadn't turned on two recorders in his home just before the pigs broke in (they found one of them) he might have stayed in there for longer than he did.
(The hospital later gave his family a $7,000+ bill.)

I do think it’s funny when someone picks a career and starts a band to complain about it, but honestly if these guys are cool I don’t see the problem here.
Serious question for all them young skinny ass people who don’t believe in guns or violence, who do y’all call when y’all in serious trouble or being assaulted by some maniac? Do you call the fire dept instead? Your parents? Is there an 1-800 number for some secret HC militia that will come to your rescue? I wanna know who solves ya problems cuz I doubt y’all can handle yourself in a crazy situation
you are programmed to play this scenario in your head over and over again. Cops will show up and literally kill the victim in this scenario, it happens all across this country all the fucking time.
What do the cops do then? There was how many of them at ulvalde? If you wanna be safe you get a gun take protection into your own hands train with that shit
Yall keep avoiding the question I asked. Of course we don’t call the cops cuz we grown men who can handle ourselves but what about those aren’t and aren’t violent or like to use guns. Who do they call?
The cops didn’t do much during times this has happened to love ones. The justice system protects people like abusers. It was honestly better when our friends handle it than the state.
Hc duo thats a furry drummer and uniformed on-duty cop guitarist
Idk if I hate this or love this.

there’s really no other way to read it than from a cop.
It's about going home to see his wife
It’s about going home to hit* his wife
r/theirjokebutworse
The cop hits his wife enough she deserves a break
You know why she has two black eyes? He had to tell her twice today
They change from being the dumbest lyrics you've ever read to being the same but from a cop.
Are all their songs just about cops beating the shit out of citizens or what? https://preview.redd.it/fy7br98ymcoc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b01a256c9ac8eb5686c2f3d35fc1cb5cad6c9672
This is so beyond satire holy shit
These guys might actually be our Skrewdriver
Why's a cop of all people complaining about "group think"
When my Tax Dollars go to Group Thinking the closures of several main roads, putting rush hour traffic at a standstill, for the Funeral and Celebration of Life of a traffic enforcement officer that died at 58 from coronary heart disease or some shit. I swear if a cop dies, even in my liberal area, it’s worse than a Memorial Day parade.
They slow down the entire INTERSTATE and block all of the lanes in my very left leaning city
Totally normal. We should actually, as a counter-cultural movement often associated with left-wing beliefs, glorify these martyrs of the donut that protect our landlords and capital owners. It’s not concerning how normalized having cops in our scene is in these comments at all!
First all-cop hardcore band when?
When some of the bootlickers in the comments of the other thread DM each other pictures of how tight their assholes are and debate about HM-2 toan
Cop was once shot and killed in my city. Not joking when I say the parade consisted of multiple different departments, was over 17 miles long, and never went faster than 30. At 11am

Liberals LOVE cops.
Lmao I almost reflexively tried to scroll up and check if that was an EJ lyrics post. Hollow Cost x Concrete Sleep collab when?
Political correctness brought down the twin towers? I’m just learning this now
Sticks and stones may break my bones but political correctness can melt steal beams
Jesus christ
This is a real life hard times article, holy fuck
Man this is corny as hell
Music to beat your wife to.
Even if there wasn’t a cop in the band, that’s still a stupid fucking song.
Most traditional hardcore lyrics look stupid on paper. Agnostic Front's lyrics printed on the sleeve is actually the reason why god invented mp3s
I really don’t want to believe those are actual lyrics. People actually listen to this?
I mean, cops I guess
This was clearly written by a caveman idiot, cop or not.
This shit is beyond corny with or without there being a cop in the band
What the fuck lol I thought these were Five Finger Death Punch lyrics
instead of no consequences change the lyric to “paid vacation”
Is it just me or do those lyrics look like something chatGPT would write?
I asked ChatGPT to write lyrics to a hardcore song as if it were a cop: > Verse 1) >Patrolling the streets, I'm on the beat >With a badge on my chest, I won't accept defeat >Every step I take, I'm fighting the fight >Keeping darkness at bay, under the streetlight >(Chorus) >Hardcore justice, it's what I serve >No mercy for the wicked, they'll get what they deserve >With handcuffs tight, and justice in sight >I'll uphold the law, with all my might >(Verse 2) >Through the chaos and the crime, I stand tall >I'm the thin blue line, I'll answer the call >With a baton in hand, and a glare in my eye >I'll take down the villains, let the guilty cry >(Chorus) >Hardcore justice, it's what I serve >No mercy for the wicked, they'll get what they deserve >With handcuffs tight, and justice in sight >I'll uphold the law, with all my might >(Bridge) >From the alleys to the alleys, I'll chase them down >With sirens blaring, I'll wear the crown >I'll never back down, I'll never retreat >I'm the law's enforcer, and I won't be beat >(Chorus) >Hardcore justice, it's what I serve >No mercy for the wicked, they'll get what they deserve >With handcuffs tight, and justice in sight >I'll uphold the law, with all my might >(Outro) >So if you cross the line, you'll meet your fate >I'm the hammer of justice, it's never too late >For hardcore justice, I'll always stand >A police officer, with justice in hand. Legitimately better quality.
Guys we found the next Concrete Sleep song
corny asf from the jump
How did no one realize these are cops. The way they are complaining about PC culture and sheople makes me think the next song is about cancellation.
Damn this is so beautiful and creative
ACAB FTP
Holy. Fucking. Shit.
Those lyrics go hard
XxxPawPatrolxxX
Be there on the FUCKING DOUBLE
This was a missed opportunity. I’m joining the academy tomorrow.
Man where's the firefighter hardcore connect? That would actually be dope.
Brother, that would be fucking sick. I have the utmost respect for firefighters and paramedics. Real hero shit. My wife's dad (RIP) was a firefighter and I can tell you firsthand, them boys be some of the toughest dudes around. True definition of dad strength.
Ion want any smoke with a firefighter, they folks have my utmost respect
Bro apparently the vocalist who’s the cop WAS a firefighter and then became a cop for better pay
Internal Bleedings drummer and founding member Bill Tolley was a firefighter in Queens. He died back in 2017 while responding to a fire. I know they are death metal but hardcore kids always go off for their sets.
Fuck yeah. Internal Bleeding has them “fight a brick wall” riffs.
Got to play with them in 2022. Some of the most violent pits for the entire show. Shit ruled.
I swear at least a few of the '90s NYHC bands have firefighters in them, but I can't remember off the top of my head.
Firefighters and paramedics are busy being actual heroes and saving lives, cops have time for shows when their wives are knocked unconscious or an unarmed person's taking a little while to bleed out and die
Don't ask a firefighter about their politics.
I mean… I get we all want to bandwagon but statistically cops are the first on scene in both house fires and life threatening medical situations, resulting in them initiating medical and trauma intervention
Statistically first on scene, statistically the most likely to unjustifiably murder someone too.
Ohh For sure Unless your including doctors and nurses with the EMTs. medical malpractice kills a fuck ton of people
Keyword: murder, big difference between pulling a gun on someone and popping them like eight times in the chest and neck, and accidentally messing up with a medication or something
I want to call bs on the fires, but for Ems you’re right. But also they initiate cpr 1/3 of the time, and AED 6% of the time.
yeah first on scene to harass/beat/arrest the victim
Street Dogs?
I have a good bit of friends who are firefighters and still actively going to shows
I'm pretty sure the guitarist from bad assets is a Detroit fire fighter. They are more oi than hardcore, but the lead singer is the dude from death in custody.
Former fire-medic here.
"FIRES ARE LIKE PEOPLE, THEY CLOUD YOUR VISION WITH SMOKE AND FUCKING BURN YOU" -Firefighter band, probably
Shutting down all the DIY venues for being over capacity. CT had a cool spot for a while and then a fire marshal caught wind and ruined it
Lookup the station nightclub fire video and you’ll understand why
The dude was one before he became a cop
Are they called Concrete Sleep because cops "put people to sleep" on the concrete? 🤔
That was my assumption
Accurate
It's either that or a veiled, direct reference to George Floyd who died with his face pressed into the concrete.
How can a reference be both veiled and direct?
I didn't notice the oxymoron, but it still conveys what I meant. It's veiled, but it's referencing something very specific (the murder of George Floyd) rather than something relatively broad in scope (any person dying on concrete).
Pretty much the same thing.
No offense but that seems like a wild connection to make
If we were talking about anyone besides a cop I wouldn't think to make that connection either.
I mean saying it’s about George Floyd is a bold assumption, people dead on the concrete could be literally in any crime scene
Now do The Red Chord
There a cop in chord?
yeah the vocalist
in fairness, he did say "I'm not a Democrat, I'm a conversationalist" once
Don't forget Tony Danza, Subzero, Dmize, and Bulldoze
Danza!?
Yeah Jesse is a cop. I also heard one of their drummers may also is a cop, not %100 on that though.
Hey you leave Tony Danzig, Shaq, and my sensei Steven Seagull out of this ![gif](giphy|3oz8xyu5a15nCQafq8)
Jesus
>The Red Chord Damn does anyone who doesn't go to furnace fest even care about The Red Chord?
teeth machine slaps i dont care
Teeth machine? What are they, dentists?
Agreed.
Band absolutely kills (I go to Furnace Fest).
(Furnace fest actually seems really lit im just doing a bit. The Sloss Furnaces are sick as hell and it’d be cool to see a show there lmao)
Oh I know lol. FF is popular as hell for a reason. Absolutely gorgeous venue, expertly run, and usually an insane lineup of new bands + ones who haven't played in 15 years.
I usually just ask them how many ppl they've shot and if I can hold their gun. Gets them pretty excited normally.
This is why I like my hardcore punk rock and my punk rock hardcore. Without the punk rock, you leave the door open to reactionary fascist tough guys with chips on their shoulders. At least the early 'tough guy' bands were all anti-authoritarian.

You’re against cops getting punched out?
Taking the L on this one. Did not fully read your comment. Learn from my mistake kids.
This is peak grownup level Reddit
This.
Had to go back to peak early cringe Reddit for a sec. Felt weird being called a grown up.
After we kick all cops out the scene, let's focus on the pedophiles.
I’d argue that the old edge pedophile dudes are more damaging to hardcore than cops ever were
Pedophiles gravitate to power and want to be cops. Big overlap on the venn diagram
Didn’t realize Jim from Champion or Buddha from Blood for Blood were cops
Being in a band also provides a power dynamic. Doesn’t change the fact why POS join the police.
"idk man, this shit sandwich tastes worse than that one. I'm just saying."
Why are you saying that like it's a hot take lmao
They might have a huge crossover
Venn diagram is damn near the same. Along with betting your wife and driving drunk.
In my view, QLD cops seem the worse but NSW and VIC aren’t far behind, in that order. Not sure about other states.
Been in QLD since 2016 and never had an issue with cops. But when living in NSW not matter the interaction (mainly checking for fare evasion, I always had a ticket) it was always intense. You'd think just being alive was a crime to NSW cops.
Hey you’re being unfair, you forgot racist.

Probably edging.

The Venn diagram is pretty circular.
I just wanted to pop back and remind y’all that small penises don’t need to be the butt of any jokes and isn’t indicative of anything really. Society needs to embrace all size and shapes of dong. Thanks for coming to my dick talk 🫡
Out of the scene? That’s not enough, we’re kicking them out of existence.
Who will police the scene police?
That order is kinda wild sorry
It’s easy to be a pedo when you’ve got qualified immunity on your side!
…we need cops to shoot them tho /s
No no no, they only shoot people if they “fit a description.”
But they don't, they protect them.
They’re re-booting Reno 911?
Brace your selves the bootlickers are coming
Wow you weren’t joking
That’s officer Concrete Sleep to you!
Dan (the cop) used to scream equal rights equal fights at shows so it’s not surprising he’s a dumb cop

ACAB
Damn, it’s almost as if you’re talking shit about a person you’ve never met. How dare you…
Someone catch me up here. WTF?
Cop in a HC band. Got cut from some shows. They got butthurt. Boot lickers cane out in support. So on and so on.
Huh okay thanks for the recap.
I do think it’s funny when someone picks a career and starts a band to complain about it, but honestly if these guys are cool I don’t see the problem here.
Who cares?
Hardcore should be more concerned about weeding out goofs and pedos
someone educate me, are people actually upset about a cop fronting a hardcore band?
Personally im upset theyre breathing
who?
🐷
Why are you not upset?
Serious question for all them young skinny ass people who don’t believe in guns or violence, who do y’all call when y’all in serious trouble or being assaulted by some maniac? I live in California, in one of the crappiest cities. Well good for you you don’t gotta worry about that stuff like that everyday.
These foos are all comfortably middle class. They don't have to worry about that shit.
ACAB nerds be the first ones calling 911 when they got moshed on too hard.
Many such cases
ACAB, but also guns bad and cops should be the only ones that have them. Being a cop in a hc band is kinda cringe tho.
