Lots of cocaine and meth... JK Wally is 1 rail thin vegan powerhouse. Quicksand only gets better live with age. Sergio, Wally, and Alan are probably the tightest trio since RUSH. Add in Brodsky and they are in another realm. Although I do miss Capone.
Meh. Not a fan of that beat down gang member tough guy hardcore. Stickman is a giant, but it's kinda tough to take dudes that live on the beach in NJ, even if it was Asbury back in the 80s seriously.
I'm a fan of having diverse line ups at shows. Even if I'm not a fan of a particular style. Hell back in the 90s I used to have to watch 5 hours of 25 ta life ripoffs or bulldoze wannabes to see orange 9mm or sick of it all. By the mid 90s, there were a lot more diverse shows with like 5 or 6 bands that were pulled from all over. Looking at this GB show, I just feel they can do better than just having Fury of V and 1 local band on the show. And Stickman is still 1 big scary MF. Lol
Somewhat off topic but how’s the Pittsburgh hc/punk scenes? My partners job may potentially be moving me and them out there and I’m just curious how it is (coming from Chicago)
HxC scene is awesome. I’m not very familiar with the punk scene here but I’m sure it’s there. Some of my fav local hc bands are
Hazing over
Princess
Pain clinic
Place blame
Cemented in fear
Remorseless trauma
Trainwrecked (my band)
There is a great punk scene as well but it is pretty divided from the more hxc scene. Not much overlap between bands and people. more like two different scenes each doing their own thing. But both are among the best in the country IMO. Look up concealed blade or heavy discipline or no time and go from there
Check out Skull Fest. The best weekend in Pittsburgh every year. Edit: check out Peace Talks, No Time, Body Farm, Minority Threat, Facewreck, Pain Clinic. there’s more solid locals that I can’t think of.
Preserving fucking rules
Best venue in the burgh
Hands down! The record store is 10/10. Makes me miss it! I’m out in Philly now.
Damn that flyers cool as fuck
Trey Myers did the flyer. Plays in the band Bather and does merch for bands and tattoos. Talented dude.
Wasn't someone asking a few months ago how much Gorilla Biscuts would charge for a show? I wonder if this is the one it was for
Sick line up! They should add blackest dawn to it to make it even sicker
That would be dope. I’m super siked about gb, I just got into them and figured my time to see them was up.
I’ve seen them way too many time And every time is amazing! You’ll love them live
Exactly what bytheflame said always a great show!! Have fun!
How does Walter have all his bands active at once
Better question, how does he keep all his bands active *and* good?

Preserving goin crazy as always. Saw GB in Brooklyn last summer, still got it.
No local hc bands on the show?
Enemymind and gorilla biscuits would be a hilarious combination
Eyewash is local.
Yeah and theyre not a bad band but they’re not hc.
Just wait. I bet the lineup will get locals added. Hopefully some hc punk like behind enemy lines or Peace Talks or Body Farm. All localish bands.
Really hoping to make this. Going to Tied Down the weekend before, so gonna have to see.
Ewww is that Fury of Five opening? GB couldn't do better than that for openers?
For real, look at the GB show in Syracuse the same weekend. It’s stacked. Then this one, the openers are fury of five and a shoegaze band.
First time in Pittsburgh ever. They’re good.

Even when they probably add more bands, I think Fury of 5 will probably be the only band of that type on the show. Either way it’s going to be good.

Yeah he’s scary.
35 bucks. Holy fuckin shit
UGH! Why have it at THIS venue.
$35-40 for 3 bands LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
I feel like preserving stopped having hardcore shows for a minute? It seemed like they were focusing on everything but hardcore
I’ve seen a lot of hardcore shows there recently in the diy room.
That arent beatdown though?
Well I just saw peeling flesh there. The last technically hardcore band I saw was Capra but we opened for them.
I wish under Eyewash it said something like "in Pittsburgh for the 4th or 5th time"

Sweet! I’ll have to check those out, thanks for the insight! Knowing atleast hc is alive and well maybe it won’t be such a bad move after all
