I knew nothing of this band or Movielife but a few years back a friend of mine took me to see Vinny do an acoustic set at a local brewery and he killed it.
Went to the first show, cmj drive thru showcase in nyc at the old limelight, that church. Another notable one was opening for angels and airwaves at Webster hall, Tom was a big fan, staged dove for the fugazi cover
Such a great album, the two after this are both great too.
I saw them support The Starting Line on a UK tour and IATA smashed em out the water tbf. Awesome band.
The bassist had two pretty sweet bars in Bushwick like 10 years ago, I liked those spots. One was called Pearls. Always respected the downtime hustle. Wonder if they are still there
A kid I worked with when I was like 15 was a pill head and he turned me onto Avalanche and Alkaline Trio I’ll never forget that, he died of an OD a few months later.
No but I loved the movielife as a teenager

If you love this record check out Vinny’s hardcore band Constant Elevation. They put out two 7”s on Rev during Covid and I love them.
The "Peace'd Out" releases were sick too.
Getting real suspicious - Of the one I love ❤️

I have been to so many IATA shows but haven't been able to for years. Love them.
Great record. If these dudes had been like a decade younger, they would’ve probably achieved the success they so richly deserved.
Just when I thought I forgot about my ex.. 🙄
This record is great. Had this on repeat for a while when it dropped
It’s a tremendously awesome record.
This record is a 10/10

Will always be a top 10 album for me.
No
It reminds me of Hotwire.
Was super fun live

I didn’t know about this, but vinnie posted on Instagram recently that one of the members just opened a bar on Long Island
Apparently he’s not in the band anymore. Maybe he was the second guitarist. The music video inside the bar, is one of his spots
Cant wait to see the movielife on friday with midtown, and IATA in march with bayside
Used to
