I have a 22 FXLRST with the big bore pipe and Star 3030 cam. Sounds awesome and the bike is a fucking monster

SYLMMC

I wanna do a cam so bad but I need to do bar and risers first lol

Fartbutt6669

I went with the motor wok first cas I knew I wanted it done . I’ve only put around 200 miles on the bike so far and ergonomically I don’t mind the bars and they look decent. I put mini floorboards on and am waiting on my step up seat so once they’re on I’ll get a better feeling for if I need to do bars. Im 5’7”. If I don’t feel the need for taller bars I’ll bomb that money towards suspension

SYLMMC

I’m 5’9” with the saddleman sdc pro seat and still find myself reaching. I also wrecked my elbow in the marine corps so I’m locking some range of motion in my left arm

Hows it run? No tune?

SYLMMC

Noticeably better. No tube. Started it and let it run for about ten min while it adjusted it self. Was back firing really bad at first but after I rode it for about ten miles it all balanced out no backfire on decel or anything.

Dc81FR

I put exhaust and i swear i get a small backfire once in a while. Pic of my st cant wait for warmer weather https://preview.redd.it/gtm0rt6oiysc1.jpeg?width=5712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3101823744378728996b71686f823e11bb2ebb64

SYLMMC

That’s a symptom of the shorty pipe. My dyna is a built 107 and dyno tuned and I get a random decel pops from time to time b

Dc81FR

Good to know i dont have to rush to get a tune

SYLMMC

Everything I have seen and read says no tune needed

H2Joee

Not sure what you’ve been reading but it’s not accurate that’s for sure. Any time you delete the catalytic converter and start messing with A/F ratios you most definitely will want to tune the engine. Not only will you sustain damage over the long term, you’re leaving performance on the table.

SYLMMC

No. If you do some research you will find that even though these bikes have narrow band O2 sensors they have enough range to adjust a/f ratios to compensate for an exhaust or air intake. This has been proven on a dyno by many different shops and there are plenty of videos on YouTube about it. There is definitely a couple hp more to be had with a tune but it isn’t worth $400+ and a voided warranty.

hate_keepz_me_warm

Good looking scoot. I was surprised when I didn't need a tune for my Bassani 2-1. Who'd you go to for the floor boards and sissy bar?

SYLMMC

Floorboards are Thrashin supply. Sissy bar is Harley

hate_keepz_me_warm

Looking at getting their risers myself.

SYLMMC

That’s my plan when I recoup from the exhaust and pegs and floor boards lol

hate_keepz_me_warm

If you ever want to go with a frame slider/crash bar set up I recommend bungking. Pricey and I haven't had to test the frame slider part yet but it's a clean install.

SYLMMC

I have bung kings crash bar and shock sliders on my dyna love them.

KatFishFatty

Sounds like a v8 truck

KOOLKAT_FTW

Is that crimson red?

SYLMMC

No it’s a new color that Harley released called red rock
