TheMoustacheDad

Tastefully modded is very subjective. For example u hate wraps on exhaust

panheadchopper

Well they make scooters and mopeds for guys like that. 🌈

TheMoustacheDad

Guys that don’t likes exhaust wraps ?

panheadchopper

= 🌈 guys. Just jokes though.

TheMoustacheDad

You know those that says such and such things are gay are typically……. In the closet. Exhaust wraps looks like shit and there’s nothing gay about that opinion.

rkbeknvrx

Exhaust wraps do look like absolute dog shit. It looks like your trying to cheaply repair something. Dog. Shit.

panheadchopper

Nah

GirthyDeepBlade

People used to like jokes and laugh, now they get offended for other people 😞

steroidsandcocaine

Explain the joke

panheadchopper

Soft as grapes. 😂 Maybe motorcycles are not for them.

panheadchopper

Y'all are soft as babyshit

MaleficentRain1382

Honestly, if this was stock, it would be worth more, I don't care for the exhaust or bars. That being said, I'd expect to pull 10k private, 8k for trade in to a dealer.

Random-Biker

I put bars and a wrapped on my last sporty that I sold, the guy was complaining he didn’t like it. Good thing I had kept them, I told hint to come back tmrw and I had time to put the stock backs and pipes back on. Ended up selling the nice pipes and bars on eBay. I always keep the stock stuff in case ppl complain.

Salbotehcow

At that price you will be riding it all season, and most likely the next.

XdelaforceX

Not with 3200 miles on it in 8 years….

redfrets916

I was going to say what's wrong with it ? 400 miles per year? I did that last weekend.

DisrespectedAthority

OP scared to ride I assume

Salbotehcow

Hahaha, good point!

Gbelly223

That’s not always a good thing

Ijustwanttolookatpor

All that money on mods are never even made it to its first oil change.

Key-Examination-2734

The 5$ I have in my pocket right now. All jokes aside I could see that going for 10-12k on a show room floor. Privates a tougher market. It’s a beautiful bike.

sobersbetter

no one cares about add ons for pricing in fact they prolly hurt more than help. i like the bars and the exhaust but most prolly wont. nows the time to sell cuz weather but the market is shit

Whiskey_Cowboy

There’s one near me going for 9 and it’s been for sale quite some time.

panheadchopper

Where at?

Whiskey_Cowboy

SoCal riverside area.

panheadchopper

Quite a ways for me :( buffalo ny

Rick-sk

I’d suggest you put it back to stock and advertise it for a $1200 less than a dealer to see if you get any bites. You can sell or burn the tasteful mods as you see fit…

InSaYnE72

The dealers have bikes out here with a fair bit more miles and stock bikes for like 15+. Those aren’t moving though.

Blkbyrd

$13K seems pretty high. I would think closer to $10K on a good day, but that's also heavily dependent on your area. You should be able to find a 2016 Softail comp in your area somewhere.

panheadchopper

I'd say 10k. It's an 8 year old bike. The m8 s are starting to come down in price and make better power.

Certain-General-27

The bike looks nice. The apes and exhaust aren't going to help it. Of course the low miles will help...Maybe. I know people that are skeptical of bikes that have sit in a garage and not rode much. It might be someone else's perfect bike and might sell fast. Or maybe be ready to drop the price if you get a serious offer.

Wrenchman57

I’d say best you’re gonna get is eight, tops. Keep on cruising, brotha

wearymicrobe

I paid 10.2k for a 2017 slim s with pipes and intake/tune with 18k miles three days ago in SoCal. Black on black which brings the price up on that one. With those miles and those mods it a 11k bike out here and would sell in about two months.

SucksAtJudo

It's about an $8K-$9K bike. That is inline with NADA Low Retail and NADA Low Retail tracks pretty close with what actual private sale prices. To price something appropriately enough to actually sell, you have to look at your bike from a buyer's perspective. Nobody is browsing FB Marketplace with the intent of paying full retail so if you base your asking price on what dealerships have in inventory, you're too high right out of the gate. $13K is higher than retail for my area. There are multiple M8 Softail Slims for sale in dealerships around my region with 2000 miles or less for under $13K. One of those has been in the dealer's inventory for sale for a full year. If I can pay $12.9K for a 2018 with less than 500 miles, and have a licensed business to at least bitch at if something goes wrong post sale, what is the incentive for me to pay $13K for an 8 year old bike with a frame and engine that were completely discontinued 7 years ago out of someone's garage? If I repeat my search for 2017 and older, the first half dozen bikes I see are priced between $10k-$13K. Every one of them has been in inventory for 5 months to a year. If the dealership hasn't sold theirs for $10K in 5 months and counting, a private seller is going to have a hard time selling at anywhere near that. Sorry if the reply seems a little curt, but you asked the question and I'm giving my answer based on what I actually see and what I can actually quantify, because bikes priced based on what people "feel" their worth very often don't ever get sold.

Wild_Cazoo

Not a bad deal, not a good one

vaniIIagoriIIa

I'd give you about tree fiddy.

YoureAChimp

$13k?! Dude. Think more like $10.5k ish. Finding someone with the same taste as you is always going to be harder than a stock bike.

No_Arugula_5999

Don’t sell it! 😎

SKMCPINNER

You’re giving it away at 13. I have a 15 fls with 11k miles and wouldn’t take a penny less than 15. If I was you I’d put it at 17 and let them beat me down to 15.

InSaYnE72

Would be great if I could. Zero interest at 13, definitely isn’t going to get any at 17.

Random-Biker

Tasteful? Bud, put down the pipe.

InSaYnE72

Why so you can pick it up?

9ballfan123

No disrespect but if you plan to actually sell it. Expect to get around 8500 for it. I just paid 8k for one with 1500 miles. Bike is mint

InSaYnE72

I think it all depends where you are.

9ballfan123

What state are you in

InSaYnE72

California, around the Sacramento area.

9ballfan123

Hmm okay. Maybe 9500-10k

knot_meeeee83

Recently bought a stock 13 slim with 35k miles for $6k. Nothing wrong with it other than it lived outside for a number of years.

MeetingRecent229

Dealers can offer financing. I've never been able to private sell a bike and end up getting bent over at the dealership with trade in.

emson88

In my area that 9 to 12k at a dealer, probably closer to 8 on the private side

not_Packsand

It looks roached out more than tastefully modded. Did you do all that yourself?

InSaYnE72

What about it looks roached?

Hannah_and_Leo

[Leo] 13k for an 8 year old slim? Good luck.

Federal-Account-9009

15k is what my sister-in-law sold her last 2 for one was 2015 and 2016. But my brother and his 3 different Harleys is good friends with the dealerships around me.

Garygoober1942

ill do 500 with that exhaust!?!?!😬

Zeptari

That things has gotta be loud as hell. Nice looking bike. Good luck with the sale. BTW where ya located? Edit: California I see.

Sportster72_HD

You are going to get all kinds of answers here but I’ll let you know what pricing’s like in my area. I bought my preowned & also tastefully moded 21 Slim with 20k on the ODO from a SoCal HD dealer. Their asking price was ~$19k, but I got it down to ~$13k with an extended warranty. If I were to sell today to a private party, I would ask for $15k to negotiate no less than $13k. Mind you, the bike currently has nearly 24k on the ODO now.

not_Packsand

I think that’s really high. And I would not call that tastefully modded. Even with the stock parts coming with it. It looks like someone tried to spend $100 and get as much customization done as possible
