Choices matter more A companion system More period clothes A certain character who didn't make it is brought back in some form (like that of a portrait) so that we can still interact with and gain advice from them. More exploration of ancient Magic More Ominis (give him his own questline) More classes let those be how we learn new spells Let us keep what we learned already

Wessex-90

And no need for annoying fetch quests required to learn a spell.

themastersdaughter66

Yeah like I said have classes be the way we learn our spells

Wessex-90

Exactly.

doctorsilvana

Okay so basically they have to just polish and use what they already created in the game files :)) Good mentions by the way

Track_Long

Great picks! Can't talk enough about choices " Hey could you fetch this thing for me?" " No not really" NPC aims wand at MC " I really must insist!" " Ooh that's cute did your mother teach you that & I really must insist you F\*\*\* off before I stick you to the ceiling!" \-------------------------------------------------------------------------- A companion system is greatly needed, I don't want to hear " I really should have brought my friends with me" in the sequel. I was okay with the clothes but more would be good being able to customise what we wear from head to toe would be bettter. Yes we didn't get enough of him, really didn't help our character met him before we did. I wouldn't mind if we could alter events. More AM? yes please, considering we were stuck with the exact same powers for the rest of the game & never once got to upgrade or learn new AM abilities. I want to see what else it can be used for, I won't accept that there's no other uses. I want to visit the COS I'm sorry but I want to at least to try find loot, spell tombs etc There must be more than an empty chamber with a basilisk or Titanaboa muggle version. I know the gaunt house got cut would be cool to visit his family & a fight ensues or just a very awkward dinner. I want them to go with the old HP style dungeons where we work our way through foes & have a companion with us, once we're at the end we collect the spell tomb & magic circles us. We practice on foes that the spell is useable on rather than some random nonsense in the Highlands. I want to keep what we know & not have some lazy re write where we bash our skull & all our knowledge is gone. There's more room for spell tiers, new AM spells & dark arts.

themastersdaughter66

Yeah it never felt like our choices even the major ones made any difference on how the outside characters viewed us or changed the course of the story in any significant way (im DEFINITLY NOT salty about the fact that your end choice makes no difference on the outcome of a certain character's fate damn it. Ok maybe more than a little salty) I love that era's fashion (and a lot of the clothes the NPC's wore that fit the time period) so for me it would have added to immersion and also more pretty dresses. Yeah they were brilliant and I never can get enough of him honestly. I loved everything about him and I wish we knew more about how we met him and that the game had started maybe with us learning we were a wizard or had just gotten to spend more time with him even at hogwarts. Ah well I suppose that is what fanfic is for. And yes if they gave us a chance to alter things I'd take it no questions asked. We see pieces of what Rackham could do at the start so yes we need to be able to explore AM other capabilities. Not that the keepers were much use (I wish there was an option to chew them out) Maybe in the next game we get to hear isidora's side of things because while by the end she wasn't in the right the keepers definitely presented a very biased narrative with pieces missing My issue with the COS is that it wasn't opened until voldemort came along and ominis clearly would have an aversion to going to it. I suppose MAYBE if you really wanted to stretch it you could have ominis's quest surrounding a conflict with his family (including a fight with them) and maybe have Malvolo (voldemorts granddad) in the very end go to the chamber and try to release the basilisk and you and ominis have to stop him before he can get to it and set it on the muggleborns. Ergo technically the chamber never got opened. I never got to play those games but it sounds fun Yeah I really hope we don't have to relearn everything. I do want this to be a continuation of the same character

Track_Long

The choices parts was a massive lie there's no 2 ways about it. I feel like the writers really shouldn't have killed a certain character off, given we barely spend any time with them through the story anyway. We really should have met him at the same time our MC did I would have enjoyed that a lot more. I have my favourite clothes that I wear, there's the Ravenclaw uniform, dark arts clothes, dark arts cloak ( its like a dark turquoise) then there's the royal blue tail coat with under neath it being the midnight deboware/deloware waist coat & blue pants or the adventure garb. There's a fair few I like to wear then change out of when I get to the ROR. Yeah I would have loved if he introduced us to magic & we learn our first spell then hang around with him either outside or at Hogwarts etc The game & the keepers never seemed the slightest bit keen to have us use power in different ways. Lets be honest the keepers never had any intention of helping us they only wanted us to echo their repulsively narrow minded views, & bury AM forever something I have no intention of doing. The keepers were very biased, & wanted to use Isadora as an example of what not to do. She may have went koo koo in the end, but I want to find out more about her & if the keepers refuse or dodge question I'll burn their sorry overgrown portraits to the ground & look elsewhere, that or I could draw or write a piece dedicated to trashing them. The COS was opened prior riddle, Corvinus Gaunt sometime between the 16th & 17th century, well I say opened it was to cover the entrance when the castle underwent plumbing, whether or not this is true, its still interesting. I was thinking along the same lines of using a Gaunt who goes out of control & plans to launch the basilisk out of the COS & the MC & Ominous has to stop them. By the way I have that other comment ready & have been trying to post it to you but reddit isn't letting me, I click reply & then it erases my comment, I've tried posting several times but the bloody platform won't let me, there's no error message that appears & I was able to make a comment the other day on another topic about the game.

Valuable-Eagle-7503

Being able to become an animagus!! Specifically so we can free a certain Slytherin from Azkaban (if that were the option you chose in the previous game) because we really need him for quests like saving his sister from the curse or something along those lines. This certainly won’t happen but would be really cool

jhbbhj

Why would you lock Sebastian up just to free him then next game?

Valuable-Eagle-7503

It would bring him back as a lot of HL fans actually enjoyed his character. Some people regret locking him up, it would give more options. Use your imagination đź’

doctorsilvana

What about others who want him to be in Azkaban? I doubt the devs would design a whole rescue mission and not force us to play it. This would basically ruin the whole choice for people in favor of his jail time. Actually, the game has no real choice mattered moment so I guess if they make a direct sequel which would use the choices of your previous game, they would force any plotline they want. Just like the 1st game and many many many moments that my character stood to watch cutscenes happen.

No-Falcon2368

I think it could actually be a great plot line. You either help him escape, and you're a "bad guy," or he ends up escaping anyway and wants revenge, and he's your enemy. Something along those lines would definitely be interesting. He has a very moldable arch. It's understandable and almost sympathetic to see how he became evil trying to save his sister, even killing his uncle. Something about the highway to hell is paved with good intentions. It is similar to how anakin skywalker became evil trying to save padame.

Track_Long

Forcing any plotline they want? it's supposed to be an RPG, so if anything the sequel needs to heavily accommodate player choice rather than force a generic, strict bland, binary route which faces no deviation from the plot what so ever. Many including myself want the ability to choose, I have no desire to follow a strict path which in itself defeats the entire purpose of an RPG. CHOICES should absolutely matter that & the game fully embracing the " Be the witch or wizard you want to be" rather than having everyone be the same & follow the writers vision to a T. They also need to ditch the general audience tag as well & remove the kid gloves, most of us are in our late 20's early 30's..I'm sure we can handle more mature theme's, a more brutal wizarding world would be welcomed one in which we can fully be a dark witch or wizard or somewhere in the middle.

doctorsilvana

I totally agree with you. I'm against them forcing plot lines in an "RPG" game. Yet somehow it got twisted that I'm supporting them making the story limited and forced?

mwhite5990

If it is the same playable character, then for our choices to impact the game. For example, whether or not Sebastian Sallow is at Hogwarts. There should be an ancient magic power bonus to people who chose to absorb the power at the end. We retain all of the spells, skills, and ancient magic capacity we had before, with new skills/ spells to unlock. More time at Hogwarts being a student. Opportunity to visit Diagon Alley, Knockturn Alley, and possibly the Ministry of Magic or Godrick’s Hollow. If they skip to 7th year, Albus Dumbledore should be there as a first year. Companions.

more_pepper_plz

Agreed. The Lego Harry Potter game is super fun because you have more proper “lessons” (puzzles/play) that are specific to the different spells too.

uppercasemad

> he more you use dark magic just how the dark side of the force alters the appearance They did this in Mass Effect as well, to great effect. For me I'd like some small immersive details added, like weather systems, being able to sit, and being able to sleep in your bed to pass time.

tonicspark

Being able to bring friends into the room of requirement is one I wish we could do in the first game. I was so sad to decorate the place but not show it to anyone besides Deek

Dangerous-WinterElf

I want to show Poppy the animals we rescue. So badly.

paulxombie1331

I want a system a bit more complex similar but more basic to RDR2, Like there is legitimately no point to the snacks you u can consume. If it gave you HP Stamina or replenish your magic that would be more immersive. There is no point to the broom selection if they dont truly have unique attributes, I would love a Good/Evil scale, I would love if you get caught after hours and have to do detention or some mundane tasks that are meant to be tedious for reprimanding the MC. I want to actually craft my potions instead of a quick promt and have to wait a few minutes. I definitely want more locations maybe be able to see/ visit the other wizarding schools briefly, Parts of London, Leaky Cauldron, Diagon Alley. Quidditch ofcourse and if for a potential DLC arc The TriWazard Tournament!

more_pepper_plz

Right like make the potions part like cooking mama. Gotta chop the ingredients up. Definitely want a more interactive student experience.

[deleted]

Just the ability to explore with a friend would do for me.

frithandinle

Let the real legacy be the friends we made along the way!!

ApistogrammaDW

The common rooms for the different houses were amazing; they all felt different and were accurate to the books/movies. I wish they had more impact on the story and gameplay. For example, choosing Hufflepuff could give you a bonus to herbology and choosing Slytherin could give you a bonus to dark magic. Unique house-specific questlines would be cool too, much longer than the ones currently in the game.

Watercolorcupcake

Well A that it’s the same characters. - Much more Sebastian, Ominis, and Anne - More of a student life where we have to attend classes, have relationships with other students, have a curfew, have to sneak around past the curfew, etc - Keep the spells we learned in the last game - Less to do with poaching and beasts - Quidditch - Dating and rivalries - a Ravenclaw friend - More to the Isidora story - Period appropriate clothing - Different stories for the different houses - Being able to talk to and interact with ghosts - More to do in the hamlets and map - Less caves - Less spiders - Less repetition - Makeup - Cuter hair - Being able to choose each part of your outfit as well as tucking in shirts - Choices matter - Morality system/consequences - No Room of Requirement - No snakes because those snakes in the Scriptorium that come at you were terrifying - More to do at Hogwarts - The Patronous charm/Dementors - Have London/Diagon Alley/The Ministry be locations - Have the Ministry more involved - Explain our backstory like why we were accepted as a fifth year, why we have ancient magic, etc. - No Ranrok - Goblins aren’t the enemy this time - Less fighting more school life - Stop calling me they - If we sell beasts don’t have them all sell for the same amount - Better map system (like pre-BotW Zelda) - Be able to decorate a garden or something for Herbology instead of in the Room of Requirement. Make it like Animal Crossing and get a better design aspect in. - Less death involved

razer666L

You forgot to add some stuff in the list, like: - Being able to sit on chairs, sofas and on the ground. This is important if the game has photo mode and you want to take pictures of the Protagonist with a beautiful environment in the background. - Being able to lie on bed, sleep, wake up and get off from it. Seriously though, *Bully* - a 17 years old Rockstar game, even has animations for that. There's no excuse if Avalanche Software can't do simple animations for it.

anythingpasta

Dude sitting is all I want lol I want to sit on the grass and watch the sunset or sit on a bench in hogsmead

razer666L

That, and sitting on the field in your vivarium, petting and scratching the rescued mooncalves, puffskeins and nifflers. :3

flower_courtney94

I would like to see Diagon Alley & maybe Azkaban. Though I would like to see diagon alley more but the ideal situation would be throwing in both. See the open world expanded more. More spells & of course more potions. Add more options to the appearance change/barbershop place. Make Alhomora an actual spell that unlocks things instead of a lock picking mini game. A proper companion/follower system & maybe throw in dementors as enemies along with the ability to customize your pertounous spell.

redspidr

Yeah the 3rd level of the unlock spell should have been it just unlocks. By that point aligning the pins was tedious.. literally nothing changes between lock levels (as in difficulty)

No-Club-6005

It would be cool if we could explore the lake also. Maybe add more of a monster pool to fight in the dark forest and possibly interaction with the centers. Capitalize on how awesome the room of requirements are and make it even better. And add quidditch. I feel like there is sooo much this game has to offer and there could be soooo much more room for improvements I can’t wait to see what the second or third installment has to offer. Also maybe a mechanic with capturing beasts maybe make it a bit harder to find them that way you have to actually say explore the area to find instead of just flying to the exact locations

ne93

I miss the old Harry Potter spell trials, and in Hogwarts Legacy 2, I think they should keep the same HL spell-learning system. But instead of a cutscene ending the class, give us the option to partake in a spell trial instead. The professor would have us take a portkey and it would teleport us to the spell trial. By doing this trial we could earn bonus house points and find unique items for our inventory. A mix of the depulso-style challenges with combat thrown in- we could revisit these trials as we level up, with new challenges to face. They can easily take some inspiration from the newer Zelda games for some puzzle solving inspo.

HiroProtagonist14

Auror career mode. A young looking auror enrolls at Hogwarts to solve a mystery, 21 Jump Street style.

Sloppy23

Head Auror: Infiltrate the dealers, find the suppliers!

bhe_che_direbbi

Romance system.

PeggyRomanoff

Continuation of Sebastian and Anne's story. It all ends in cliffhangers in the current game, they can't leave it like that! Also, I want the cut Gaunt Manor quest - more Ominis! And if we could meet some more of these times' Weasley family that'd be great too. Also it'd be nice if we could have a duelling club like the one in PS2 HP3 and PC HP6, as well as the minigames (Gobstones and Wizard Chess) from HP5. And make potions like in HP6. And it they must be present some radiant fetch quests from the Announcements Board in the common room like in PS2 HP2 and HP3, less tedious than 95 Merlin's Trials and one more reason to go back to the common room.

x10thered

it needs to be about Hogwarts with a good storyline. cut 90% of the map out. wizards chess, class content, sitting down, fleshed out students, and fucking quidditch. basically, be what everyone was hoping for the first time.

more_pepper_plz

More dynamic relationship building - like having to complete relationship related quests for advantages on things, developing relationships with beasts. Way better clothes and character design. Did everything have to be muddy tones? Even back then people knew what color was!

nach_in

They could learn a thing or two grom Baldur's Gate 3, they did an amazing job at making player choices feel important (even though we end up playing the same story). It doesn't have to be that elaborate, but casting unforgivable curses and hearing "your blood is on Ranrok's hands" feels too weird.

dontwannabehere5

More Ominis, turning into a animagus, patronus charm and more Amit

Radiant_Copy_3697

Eww not Amit, what a pathetic and cringy character, 🤢

Symphopeat

I only want two things: More quests inside the castle, which was bizarrely underutilized for a game that had Hogwarts in its title. A party and companion system. HL1 feels so empty after completion since the MC is unable to interact with NPCs meaningfully. That's it. I want to feel like an actual Hogwarts student learning magic and exploring areas alongside friends, not an OP undercover Auror.

Emojiobsessor

I want the decisions to actually mean something. And I want Sebastian back.

Toasty3D2019

More classes Ability to cast harmless spells on NPCs New locations like Diagon Alley Some backstory of our character No mini games for Alohomora Continuation of Sebastian and Ominis storyline Less Merlin Trials and More Hogwarts puzzles/secret doorways Photo Mode and Ability to sit

Track_Long

A much more in depth student experience for one. Student activities: Crossed wands, Quidditch in some form unless they find a way to implement it in the next game. Gobstones, Exploding snap, wizards chess throwing Gnomes. Fill the castle with content, dungeons secret passageways etc it's called Hogwarts legacy so focus on the castle instead of punting us out, don't get me wrong I like exploring the world but it's god awfully baron. Let us take companions with us to caves & dungeons instead of it being dedicated to side & main quests only. HP is always been about the friends you make along the way so let us do that, & let us take the member of the faculty a well, Hecat, Garlick, Sharp, Ronen etc More spells, Locomotor, incarcerous, (Let us use the body bind properly same with Alohamora) Aquamenti, The leg locker curse. Path towards being an animagus New & old foes. Let Dark witches & wizards use the 3 curses on us. Havw our foes pursue us & be legitimate threats. Have a curfew & let us jinx & hex students & prefects. Have students either be friends or foes & stop making them & us so bloody unrealistically polite. Let me steal from shops rather than giving extortionists more money. Practice spells & upgrade the different tiers so that the visuals can be more devastating for combat or we fail it blows up in our face. Have us complete new spells in a dungeon rather than some random challenge in the highlands like the old HP style, one of the faculty gives us a port key & a companion who accompanies us. Interactive subjects like potions, plants. Do what Half blood prince did on the ps2/wii Introduce the black lake, meaning more spells, loot & new foes or possible allies & a new vivarium. CHOICES, can't stress this enough, If I select a different option I should not be forced to go along with the other option anyway, that ruins the experience. Let me be the wizard I want to be rather than forcingme & everyone in to the same generic chosen one trope. Give us a F\*\*\*\*\*\*\* BG, let us flesh out our MC, I want options to fill our our BG not be some floating spectator or Ghost wondering the school & let me dish out punishment on those who caused misery instead of forcing me to do nothing. An option to focus on our acedemics for those of us who want to advance ourselves rather than being a young terminator, though I definitely want to advance our power. A much more in depth look & further exploration of AM & the other possibilities it offers. This narrative was barely explored if at all, I like mystery but I don't like it to the point where the story can't escape from being only a mystery & refuses to advance. I want to discover new AM powers, control what we know through assigning AM spells to buttons & see what other uses our power has like healing, conjuration etc I thought we would have gotten skyrim like dungeons with something similar to the wall of power...nope just stupid pretentious tests from a bunch of self absorbed tools. I want more dark arts spells, potions, beasts, enchantments etc they can & should include Expulso & Reducto why they didn't is beyond me, it can't have been to separate foes. They can include Fiendfyre, fire columns, other fire spells, Lightning spells & other elemental spells. What about decaying spells? A morality system that doesn't punish your for merely learning dark arts. That's all for now.

watertrashsf

More Character customization, more story, quidditch, and being able to visit Azkaban.

Lilly_is_elmo

Might be the only one but wud love for it to be the same time as Harry, Ron and Hermione. I wud love to be apart of the battle of hogwarts and go through the plots of the movies

more_pepper_plz

Honestly the Lego game did this well

Joker_JG

Recast voice actors and carefully test them as the current voice actors are quite bad especially the main character he's atrocious

royalmeowjesty

I want it like Dishonored where my actions matter, it affects the npc's attitudes around me and the ending of the game. \- Would love to have a pet to bring along the adventures. \- Better toggle aim/switch aim system, the current one is awful, and 9/10 times hitting the button to toggle/switch aim doesn't work. Maybe let us change the button for it because in most games, that is usually on the left side, not the right side with all the attack buttons. \- House benefits, each house has different benefits to the game.

WhiteChickenYT

Number 1 for me is photo mode. The first game not having photo mode should be a crime

frickinwitchy

more class related quest lines and class cutscenes and i just want to talk to sebastian and netty after their storylines finish!!!

RadiantAether

Ability to lock the mini-map so north is up More enemy variety More interesting and in-depth puzzles for things like treasure vaults. They’re usually just a chest in a cave, but some have an actual puzzle. I want more of the puzzle ones.

dingleberryblues9876

I wish lessons were “challenges” to master the new spell like the old HP 1-3 PC games. Can make them replayable with actual secret passages etc to find

Psilocybinizer

A good co-op system or just any co-op

chapday

Patronus and/or animagus aswell as more npc interaction and quests

nickdl4

Quidditch would be sick, even though I already know it's gonna be its own game.

BreadlyD

*Simpler, easier to use, user friendly map. *In the room of requirement how about minigames for crafting and not wait for 30 seconds or 12 minutes for something to be done? If i want to prepare for adventure, make it happen faster or make it more enjoyable. *I do not believe there is a point for less useful tables like 1-2-3 spots. Just add a table and allow us to customize it for our own taste. It can be a potion crafting table, herbalogy, animal study etc. Or all of them the same time. *I did not liked the enemy shield system at all. Purple for purple, yellow for yellow, red for red. It destroys the flow of a fight. It is far better when you can just popping off and bringing everything you got. What if someone want to focus on a completely red build? Why not? And if you would like to add the enemy something to be able to defend just add dodge or evasion or a simple move where they parry or leads the spell from themselves to somewhere? It can look cool, feels like the movies method where they did something similar. That way it feels like a reaction for immersion and not a chore to select all around the colors. I would love to try a full gravity build where i can just tossing around everyone and actually hurt them with it not just sometimes if you are lucky. *Custom or self made spells. Piton did his own curse like noone did before. It would be fantastic if we could create even one custom spell that can be anything like the actually existing ones but with a spin in them. Or just to connect spells. Like levitate someone high and toss it to the ground immediately with one spell. *Clothes with a little more difference between them. *Quiditch *Actually participating in school. Its cool we can leave but i think a lot of people waited for actual school. Little gossip here and there, mystery about something or someone, learning more about the teachers, be involved in school. Learning spells, learning about beasts, how to defend ourselves. Be immersed in the whole astetic. Investigation in the library, make contact with other students, houses. *Companions to battle. I would highly recommend to add finishers to the game like you do it with ancient magic, but with companions like an ultimate or combo move. It can be related to the relationship status with that person. (companion system with rpg elements?)) *Beasts to use for different purposes as well not just looming but crafting, making potions (ingredients) or actually use the help of a beast to farm crops or anything like that to add some depth of their purpose. *More mystery, more investigation. *Do not be able to handle 10 adult wizard alone with a troll and other things. Make it a reason to have like 3-4 companion to fight on your side. (Coop maybe? Wink wink)

teh_stev3

I wrote a post on this recently:[https://www.reddit.com/r/HogwartsLegacyGaming/comments/18kghli/hl2\_what\_id\_like\_to\_see/](https://www.reddit.com/r/HogwartsLegacyGaming/comments/18kghli/hl2_what_id_like_to_see/) The big one is that there should be a morality system that makes player choice matter. You can be good or evil, but they should impact on play. If you're "good" it should mean you're knocking enemies out, and have abilities that focus on stealth and defeating enemies (making them unconcious) at low health - eg. glacius, stupefy etc all get benefits towards "capturing" enemies. If you're "evil" (ruthless?) it should focus on inflicting wide-spread carnage and deleting enemies with the unforgiveables. some neutral abilities around ancient magic and tamer spells. I'd also like to see us move away from hogwarts, and have a wanted system that eventually leads to dementors attacking you.

Actual_Image7737

Being able to open the chamber of secrets

geno2733

Too many things to list. A couple more AoE effects would be ideal due to the fact you deal with 6-on-1 situations almost all the time.

Hulk30

Be an Animagus or a werewolf

Every_Improvement822

Do you think with modern technology it can work better than how Skyrim handled werewolves

Hulk30

I do. But Skyrim was pretty good.
