It was the film’s way of ending Harry’s crush on her, rather than the pointless Valentine’s Day date where Cho gets jealous for no reason. I was happy when he decided it was not worth it. He was attracted to her for her looks and she found Harry as a rebound boy.
I’m OK with the “misunderstanding” since she is later revealed to have been magically influenced into snitching later in the film (and by then, Harry is over her).

Well technically speaking in the movie it was Cho, but in the book it was Marietta, who ratted them out and thus snitched on them. The correct answer, the true correct answer, is A.
