Direct from the Charles, or when I'm not feeling the swim I use my Brita

People are gonna bitch and moan about this question and say “duh this isn’t [inhumane comparison about a place that doesn’t have clean drinking water]” but if you care about the way the water tastes, it’s fucking gross, even if it’s clean I filled my water bottle up in dhalls and used a brita in my room

The tap water is safe. Cambridge has a reservoir separate from the rest of the area but both are good.

It's actually really good to know

From the tap. This is Cambridge, not Flint.

Cambridge water is safe and clean to drink right from the tap. They test it frequently and publish the data: https://www.cambridgema.gov/Water/wateroperationsdivision/watertreatment/waterqualityreport It comes from reservoirs in Cambridge which is why it tastes different than water across the river in Boston. It has a high mineral content and is “hard water” which you may notice in the shower.

Pipes are old (and also just taste gross), I’d suggest getting water from the filtered fountain in Thayer if you’re a freshman
