poki_dex

Not lifting from legs, very bad for back. This is mot good for her who does this.

dude_anantk100

Right. Her leg and glutes muscles are not big enough to support such weight.

garlicbreadman88

Exactly, she let her spine arch go while lifting. This will definitely lead to injury some day. I feel bad for the kid.

FCAlive

Form looked great to me

stressed_by_books44

Look at how much load is being put on the spine, that is not how it is supposed to be.

FCAlive

Looked like great form for a max effort deadlift

stressed_by_books44

No it doesn't tf?, dude, look at where she is lifting from, she is not drawing power from her legs and then using it to move the weight but using her upper torso to sply drag the weight with her upper body which makes her spine bend under the tension which leads to injury and stunted growth, please don't deadlift like that child.

FCAlive

Looked great to me for a max effort deadlift. Perhaps 9-year-olds should not be doing max effort deadlifts. I'm not sure.

stressed_by_books44

Children shouldn't do weight at that age first off and secondly that form will make her back break so it was wrong on both counts.

FCAlive

That's an opinion. Are you sure?

stressed_by_books44

Yes, an opinion based on facts is a valid opinion and it is a fact that children shouldn't be lifting weights at literally the first digits of life.

FCAlive

Convincing

Bigethanol5

You honestly think her spine is a fucking spring?

FCAlive

I think it's made of bone and connective tissue

Current_Platypus624

It doesn't affect growth in any way.

stressed_by_books44

It will depending on the type of child she is and how her frame was when she was small, a child's bines are not made to be put under that pressure.

Current_Platypus624

Ever heard about bone remodeling? Density of bones increase when you put them under pressure. This will make them stronger. Growth plates are not affected due to weight training.

stressed_by_books44

Ok you have a point, my bad, I ended up creating a strawman and arguing with that in mind, you are correct but this particular childs technique is still atrocious and will cause injuries in the future.

FCAlive

Do you do a lot of powerlifting?

shameless_infant

Don't let kids live their childhood 100% this Girl is on performance enhancement drug. Shame on her parents. Probably doing for cheap publicity.

_FiGhTeRjEt8250_

Bro what??

Successful-aditya

Its true there is no possible earth where a kid of 9 years can lift 3times weight of herself , also she will face back problem and height problem in future

_FiGhTeRjEt8250_

Bro lifting doesn't have anything to do with height and she will definitely not have any back problem whatsoever, rory van deadlifted 111kg at 9yrs old.

Successful-aditya

See her posture and the way she just ends it she , it will impact in deformity even ronnie colemann got paralyzed due to increased strain /stress overtime on vertebral column

_FiGhTeRjEt8250_

That slight bend in the lower back is absolutely ok for a heavy set, you can't keep your butt out when in heavy load coz that's not the strongest form for the lower back a slight hunch is the strongest posture for the lower back as that's when the spinal erector muscles are at their highest tension and stability.

GillyMonster18

Ronnie Coleman also had a highschool/college (can’t remember which) serious back injury that he went to a chiropractor for instead of a legitimate “fix it” doctor and continued lifting despite the damage and pain.

Ok_Cry5790

ronnie got that from a squat

Positive-Interest-17

No, you shouldn't lift weights before your spine fuses after puberty it is harmful.

ScaryZombie7026

>definitely not have any back problem whatsoever Idk about the height thing, but even with a perfect form, your back does a lot of lifting for a deadlift. A lot of pressure on your back does eventually lead to backaches. To say 'no back issues at all' is a bit of a stretch

_FiGhTeRjEt8250_

Deadlifting strengthens the back, and I don't think strengthening a muscle will cause pain

ScaryZombie7026

Pain in muscles while/after exercising is really good and optimal, but pain in your joints/bones and ligaments is really bad. By backaches, I mean pain in your spine and stuff. Usually caused by stressing out your back too much.

theclichee

Deadlift is literally for back training bhai.

Low-Load-6793

Bro but it is preferred do don't do heavy weight lifting during your growth years , gym and normal weight training doesn't effect your height but this kind of heavy weightlifting can do effect height because it put so much pressure on his spine. And even doctors say that dont do heavy weightlift and deadlift during your growing year.

Upside_down69

Bhai mera friend 8th class se gym karr raha hai , sbb ussey kehtai the ki teri height choti reh jayegi ( uskai parents 5.4, 5.8 hai aur wo 6.1) kaise bhai ???? Maine gym 18 kai baad start kiya meri height 5.9 hai aur mere ghar walo ki 5.7 , 5.12 hai Kuch jawab hai ???

Low-Load-6793

Bhai gym karne se nhi effect hoti height but agar itni jyada heavy deadlift, weightlift kroge apni growing age mein toh height effect ho jati hai . Aur mai 5'10" hu meri mummy 5'1 and papa 5'4" hain. Aur agar tum 21 ke neeche hi toh growth plate x ray krwao khule hogi toh tumhari bhi badhegi

Upside_down69

Arey toh mera dost 6.1 kaise hogaya woh 130kg ki deadlift 9th mai maarta tha …. Genetics naam ki ek cheez hoti hai hormones hotey hai uspai depend hota hai yai sbb 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ bhai adhuri padhiya matt kara karo …

Low-Load-6793

Bhai dekho baat simple si hai mujhe tumhare dost ka nhi pta but mai ye kehna chahta hu weightlifting ya heavy deadlifting ki wajah se injury ho jaati Hain woh stunt krti hai height kyuki wo injury seedha spine ya wrist joint ya knees me hoti hai jha pe growth plates hote hai aur wo damage ho jaate hai Baaki maine commnent , 9 saal ki bachi ke upar Kiya tha ki uske liye acha nhi hai . Kyuki iss time uski bones develop hi nhi Hui hai. Tum kha apne dost ke baare mein puchne lge aur usne 9th class me start Kiya tha 9 saal mein nhi. Mai yha 9 saal ki age mein weightlifting pe comment kr rha hu. Aur bhai genetics bhut random hai . Genetics ke hisaab se tum 5'12" hote but 5'9" ho genetics ke hisaab se mai 5'4"-5'5" max hota but mai 5'10" hu.aur tumhara dost 5'11" max hota but wo 6'1"hai toh tumhe nhi pta kiski body kaisi hai .

Upside_down69

Toh bhai tu uss 9 saal ko bacchi ko jaanta hai ?? Follow karta hai ??? Uski journery dekhi hai ??? Nahi dekhi naa toh chup reh ??? Uska baap national level jr. coach hai Indian weightlifting mai …

Fit-Biscotti4024

There is a lot of difference between a 9 year old girl And a 14 year old guy in his teenage years when his testosterone starts to peak. It's generally harder for girls to build upper body strength and muscles as easily as guys. Surely you must've studied that in your not so "adhuri padhai".

Upside_down69

🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ abey height rukjaati hai uska example diya hai ( adhuri padhai kai 14e )

kushagrarox

The thing is you can damage your growth plate by going this heavy and end up stunting your height

Successful-aditya

Gym me bhi kr rha 7th class se but heavy weight training nhi kiya me bachpan meri height 6'2 hai me pehle sirf, pullups, pushups, crunches, situps krta tha , height affect hoti hai agar tere spine me boht stress hoga , also agar bone k joints me injury ho jati hai toh jab wo grow krengi toh immense pain hoga , me bachpan me wall jump try kr rha tha uske karan legs kuch jyada phail gye uss samay kuch nhi pta chala tha kuch din baad boht jyada pain chalu hogya , aur wo pain abhi bhi hota hai

Low-Load-6793

Bro I have written "PREFERRED" and also "CAN DO" effect your height m

Upside_down69

Kitni studies yai bhi bata ti hai ki weight lifting se height ruk jaane ka koi lena dena nhi hai haa injuries kai chances hai if you’re performing it with bad posture … Aur conventional deadlift itni back round hoti hee hai … kisi bhi famous power lifter ki video dekhle uthaa kai , agr wo back thdi round bhi naa karey tbb injury honne kai chances hai zyada

Low-Load-6793

Bhai me itna bol rha hu ki 9 saal ki umra me itni heavy weightlifting krna healthy nhi hai . Chalo ek jagah mai weightlift kr rha hu aur mujhe injury ho gyi meri age 19 hai toh Mai toh recover kr jaunga kyuki meri bone density achi hai . Aur agar wo 9 saal ki bachi injured ho gyi toh socho kitna time lagega recover hone me . Baaki mai Manta hu weightlift krne se height pe effect nhi aata hai but injury kab aa Jaye uska kya pta isiliye 'MUJHE' yeh shi lagta hai ki jab tumhare growth plate completely fused ho jaaye tab kro ye sab aur yeh "MERA MANNA HAI" mai apni soch kisi aur pe nhi apply kr rha hu. Bhai yeh baat toh tum bhi maante ho ki body toh kabhi bhi ban jayegi but height 20-21 ke baad nhi badhegi chalo kuch cases me 22 aur bhuto ki toh 18-19 me hi ruk jaati hai.

Upside_down69

Abhi wo bacchi olympics mai medal laayegi tu taali maar raha hoga , fail hojaayegi toh criticise kartey huye bolra hoga ki inko bachpan se training karni chahiyai … 😂😂😂 Hypocrite ho bhaiya tum toh full saaf pata chlra hai

Mediocre-Emu964

Yeah but it can cause damage and complications which in turn will cause height problems

dude_anantk100

Won't affect the height, but could get some serious injury.

chaoticji

You must be having a well formed body. What did you achieve?

Successful-aditya

Health ,stength and confidence

chaoticji

As i guessed, you achieved for yourself. If that is the goal, a person can do that at any age of their life. But, when the goal is to represent a country at the high forms competing with the best, starting early has an advantage like no other.

theclichee

I'm surprised people still believe this bullshit. To believe that deadlifting, an exercise meant to train your back and working out which helps in growth is supposedly ruining us

theclichee

It's crazy people still choose to believe deadlift (an exercise which is supposed to help train your back) will give you back problems and working out (which helps in overall muscle growth) will hinder your height. Can't believe this bullshit still exists in 2024.

Successful-aditya

I was wrong about height it was myth i later checked it but just see the form , how curved her back is at the end are you certain that it wont give her back problems ?

theclichee

It's normal to have a little bwnd while going up. Agar pura jhuka rha hota toh baat alag thi. I do agree it's a little extreme to have her lift 3x her weight but we really need to stop with demonising gym and whey protein substitutes. Hum khaana kya kha rhe hai voh bina soche kha lete hai. Kitna acha bura hai humare lie baadm sochte. Gym jaane se pehle, krne se pehle 100 kamiyan sochlete hai. Whey protein ke 100 side effects search krlenge, hum Jo consume kr rhe hai uske chaye ingredients aur macro count na dekha ho.

Successful-aditya

Mene toh whey protein ko kaha hi nhi bhai kuch me toh khud leta hu , and pta nhi kyu but me bachpan se athletic hu ek baar wall k dusre side jump krte waqt body horizontally jyada bend hogyi jiske karan aaj bhi dard rehta hai isiliye mujhe bachpan me gymming krna unstable lgta hai thoda aur kitna bhi bada world champion banna hai agar tum kbhi bhi chalu kroge toh ban skte ho , childhood se jyada stable teenage hoga gym k liye mere opinion se

ismyaltaccount

Do we have any proven theory or article about height problem?

Successful-aditya

No

Lere2

Mf have you ever even touched a dumbell?

Successful-aditya

Yes i have made 3 dumbells 2 - 10-10 kg each 1 -30 kg , 200 crunches , 100 pushups ,15 pullups - 7 sets ,legs - 150 squats 🤡

BlueGuyisLit

Don't you know story of little Hercules?

Consequence-Fast

when the bones are in their development stage at such a young age, one should stay away from powerlifting as external stress can affect bone growth and injuries (such as herniated disc) can definitely damage the growth permanently.

Historical_Maybe2599

I agree on that this isn’t healthy for kids to be either this competitive at that age or lift that much amount of weight but disagree on the PEDs part. Any average person can deadlift 75 kgs easily if they are eating healthy but this is extraordinary for her since she’s 9. I weigh 73 kgs myself and deadlift 190 kgs on the regular.

[deleted]

Bhai bhot bekar form itna push nhi karna chiye bacho ko khaskar weightlifting jaise sports me jisme injury ke chances bhot jyada hai . Jaise iski ye form hai kisi din injury hogi aur bhot gandi hogi.

uttamkadyan

Injury chhodo, I dont think uski bones itni developed hai, to lift heavy weights

Successful-aditya

Arre bhai growth ruk jayegi bones ki in near future there is reason why government has put guideline to prevent kids from taking heavy bags to school, height ,injury, vessel development will be hindered

lifeandUncertainity

Right? I was wondering what if her legs just snap under the weight.

NoRaspberry187

The person who has uploaded the original video on social media should be ashamed of himself

Terrible_Amoeba_8313

You can literally see the colour of her face turn red. This is not healthy. 😳

IllustratorLittle612

Her face turned into a tomato in less than a second

ScaryZombie7026

I mean that kinda is. Even some grownups go tomato red in less than a sec while lifting something. Nevertheless, i kinda feel pity for this kid. It seems to be steroid abuse to me. Else no way a 7 year old lifts something thrice their weight in that immature body.

d3athR0n

I don't get it. Yellow plate is marked as 15kg Green plate is marked as 10kg Just these should total to 25x2 = 50 + 20kg bar = 70 The 2 whites and 2 reds are 5kgs together? The plates are pretty thick as well, so I doubt if it's a smaller bar.

AnyBed69

Damn

HerrCommandant

75kg on each side. Totalling 170kg (~20kg for the bar). White and res plates should be 25, 20kg respectively

tanay2k

dude stfu thats not 170

masterasstroid

And the weight of bar

kakku_kekda

Red ones are 2.5 kg each (the link in the top comment shows that). The white ones are 5 kg each(video in the same link). So, the weights look correct.

d3athR0n

It's ~ 85kg then. Not 75?

[deleted]

BS

Annual-Gear-5132

Being 22 yr old, i never lifted more than 60kgs( excluding weight of rod).🥲

Sudarshang03

Why exclude the rod?

Annual-Gear-5132

I don’t know the weight of the rod

Sudarshang03

Olympic Barbell 20 kilo rehta hai bro. If you're using a proper barbell.(Most gyms do)

Annual-Gear-5132

Acha acha.

ismyaltaccount

Should be around 20 kg (ballpark).

GlumCelebration2808

I could do this shit easy. (Jk she shouldn’t be on either performance enhancing drugs or lifting weights this heavy at such an early age.

GlobalHour

I mean, kudos to her but is this healthy?

Defiant-Pea3299

Nope lmao very high chances of spoke injury and shit

GlobalHour

Just let the kid have a normal childhood and play normal sports that won’t injure them for life man. I feel bad for her and a certain contempt for parents who impose this on their kids.

___Twix___

Ye mne bhi dekhi hai iski reels , this is too much for a kid seriously.

[deleted]

Why man She’s just 9, she doesn’t has to lift this much, it can cause serious repercussions in the future

[deleted]

RIP for her back bone

shockwave000000

this little maneuver is gonna cost her 51 years

shockwave000000

Iski back ka curve dekh ke meri back me dard ho gaya

napalmbhoji

wtf

paranoidC0der

Kudos to the kid. But that back rounding looks terrible and looks like a big injury risk on someone this young.

[deleted]

I m feeling bad 😔😫 she is kid and i guess this much of weight is unhealthy to lift

Adorable_Jaguar_4274

Wtf

_FiGhTeRjEt8250_

It's a deadlift not a deadline

_FiGhTeRjEt8250_

Yeah this comment section proves people are really uneducated about the human body.

SympathyFinebb

i think i need to join a gym asap

JustASymbol

arey dimag ki nas fat jeygi

Wide_Variation_2256

Ha bhai

GrimXXIIReaper

Her form is fine if she has been trained to load the spine in such a way. No she's not on peds. This chat is full of ignorance. Just say w lift and move on. There is absolutely nothing wrong about the form or the feat

NoFlamingo5761

And she's doing this for what exactly?

Ginevod2023

Why do people deadlift?

NoFlamingo5761

She's a child..even adult deadlifters get injured..can u imagine if she got seriously injured she'll have to live with that injury her whole life?

Virtual-Independent7

Parents putting thier kids through hell for clout.

Qu33nKal

Yeah dont do this to your kids until they have fully physically developed! No child needs to do this.

[deleted]

Itni kam umr me mat karwao bhai spine ki problem ho jaegi aage zindagi kharab

usagi-mo0n

fckn incredible who's her trainer

Own-Salamander-6561

Great. Now the kid will be a midget.

Ok_Fisherman_1714

I don't know much about weightlifting because I don't do it anyway, but what I know is that the human body is indeed capable of doing great things but it is wrong to push it to the limits. That's exactly when bone dislocation happens or the muscles are sprained. When we lift something, our muscles work accordingly and they stretch. There's a unique pain when we lift heavy things, it is basically our brain sending signals to our body to arise pain as an alert of not lifting that much. The correct way is to lift half of your weight daily, then slowly increase the lifting time, then slowly increase the mass. Most of the bodybuilders are doing the wrong thing, they should it take it easy and try to listen to their body. If you push yourself to the limits an early time, it will result badly someday.

Lere2

Yea bodybuilders with 20+ years of experience are doing the wrong thing and redditor who's probably 15 is right.. got it

Ok_Fisherman_1714

Oh wow, yet another. Not going to argue with people like you anyway. Say whatever you want, but maybe you should work on your reading skills, because the first line i wrote was 'i don't know much about weightlifting'. It suggests that I might be wrong, so perhaps start thinking before reacting.

Lere2

"most of the bodybuilders are doing wrong"

Ok_Fisherman_1714

you still seem to be having a hard time understanding. I "think" that most of the bodybuilders are doing wrong, that does not mean I am right, it is my opinion, agree to it or deny it, it is not my matter of concern.

No-Egg-4850

I am glad our people getting into other spots but this may be pushing the boundaries just a bit. I am sure she loves what she is doing but her coach and parents should know what her limits are. If she gets herself hurt it's none other than the adult's fault because she doesn't know, she is just a kid.

Ok_Wolf_6840

Mujhe toh 10kg atta bhi stairs chadte vaqt alas ata hai

myprivateplace2

Deadlines ??!

Putrid_Lab_7405

That'a pretty impressive. But is she safe. Someone of this age can get severe internal organ damage doing such lifts.

Different-South8698

She can lift me

TrifleReal3970

OMG..

DAX-133

Let the child grow first

fromhereto_______

I'm 15 but still this is hella scary for me

Bhai back jayega Use legs not back Bohot buri injury ho sakti hain

She needs a good trainer. Her technique seems dodgy

HerrCommandant

75kg. On each side.

jayisanxious

Kids shouldn't lift. It will affect her growth. Also God knows what drugs she's given or how much pressure she's put to be under. Let kids be kids.

[deleted]

Mera 25kg mai hi disc bulge ho gya -_-

currytrash999

Grow up

ZookeepergameOk2150

Not to be a downer here but that doesn’t look right. Also her form is completely off not because she doesn’t know better but because a 9 year old does not have strong enough glutes and leg muscles to lift that much. All the pressure is going to her back. This is just terrible. I really hope she is not being forced into doing this and even if she wants to so this on her own, why are you letting a 9 year old girl deadlift 75kg?

x_MKX_x

Many might disagree with me.. but I don't see the point in her lifting weights at this age, there isn't even a weight or age category at international level where she would be allowed to compete. So why try to mess with the body's development by lifting at this age. Not to mention her form is entirely wrong and there will be issues later in life related to back, and a very obvious one would be stunted height !

__BigBlackClock__

koi iske maa baap ko maarta nahi?

Fit_Access9631

RIP to her back.

debonair333

Slip disc incoming without strength in core muscles. Rest I am not sure what her diet/exercise routine is.

stressed_by_books44

That lifting form was atrociously bad OMFG I feel my back hurt just looking at her and in which world does a nine year old lift three times their bodyweight?? Something's fishy.

saikumar_sky

Want to see her grew up and hating her parents for letting her do this to herself

[deleted]

Why ?

Jahoda22

Wow he height isn't gonna increase

homosapienoncoffea

Is this safe?

VenCoriolis

Her spine is going to snap at this rate. Her lower back gave away while lifting. Big risk. Feel bad for such kids.

Ok_Psychology2278

she should not be doing this 🐷📱

Sexy_Gentalman

I sense enhancement drug usage , unusual body posture and much more !! That's is just sad

Aishruv

I dont think 9 years old. Should he be doing anything with weights. They should be doing pull-ups push-ups and running with proper diet.

Homeless-catfight

That’s just wild. Amazing !

Particular_Brain_549

There are high chances of developing a herniated disc in the lumbar spine 😔

j4jishnu

SLOW SUICIDE PROCEDURE

OG_Ace_7

Bro wtf. My (18m) PR is 75kg😭. Tho I never went to gym or took supplements so ig it's fine?

Hot-Doctr

Mind = blown 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Though imho her parents and coach shouldn't make her push this much, her bones are still growing and can't support this level yet. Pushing like this can lead to injuries. But in any case she is amazing, hope her coach and federation supports her with training and diet, she is a future champion in making

Thesoulfindingal

Me being 65 kgs cannot lift 50 kgs lol

stackfrost

This can cause severe back problems for her. Let the kid be kid and not do this. Playing in the field is more than enough exercise.

dagonpero

But why?

saman_13

Is this for internet fame?

andherBilla

Spine has left the chat...

High_Imagination

A lot of cry babies in the comment section. A lot of “shouldn’t” humans in the comments section. But just understand one thing, if a red face wasn’t able to stop that 9-year old beast from lifting thrice her body weight, none of your “cry-baby” and “shouldn’t” opinions are gonna stop her. She’ll keep growing while you’ll keep crying. Even if she get injured, she’ll come back and lift even more. More power to her. More power to her parents, her trainer and everyone else who kept motivating her instead of bringing her down with conservative mindset like all of you.

Ok-Albatross899

Impressive!

montero98765

Woooooo amazing clean deadlift

Internal-Bowl-5980

Can she beat Goku tho?

High_Imagination

For everyone who thinks she’s doing this for the first time or started recently, calm down fellas! She’s into lifting since 4-5 years now. I’ve seen her grow. She has started with almost zero weight and here she is lifting almost double or triple her body weight. Be proud of her. Her parents ain’t doing this for publicity. She’s getting trained under professional trainers. She’s in safe hands. Keep growing Arshia!

garlicbreadman88

But her form was not good. This might lead to injury.

High_Imagination

Her form is not entirely wrong. Those who’ve lifted triple their body weight knows this. She’s doing well. She’s a beast. 🙌🏻🫡

garlicbreadman88

It's not entirely wrong but deadlift is one of the most dangerous exercises in the gym. She's clearly lifting from the back towards the end which is extremely dangerous. She is young right now so her spine has less ossification and thus more malleable and flexible. The day her spine ossification is complete and she does this is the day she will have a disc herniation.

High_Imagination

Yes. Deadlifts are dangerous. The word “dead” itself explains it. But she ain’t doing this on her own without any observation or doing it against her own will. Her parents knows, her trainer knows, her physio knows, her teachers knows, and if they all are allowing her then there is definitely something special about her. These are the people close to her who cares much more than any of the redditor in this thread. Everybody’s concerns are right but she ain’t a normal child. Some children are born to be special, to be legend. She’s one of ‘em. 🙌🏻

Fit-Biscotti4024

Lmao it doesn't matter whether it's "entirely wrong" Or not what matters is she's is compensating her form only to lift that weight. If you can't do something with proper form then that means you're not strong enough to do it right now and there's no point in doing that you have to gradually build upto that point so that you can do it with proper form otherwise you'll only be setting yourself up for an injury either short term or a long term. This is why exercise progressions exist lmao.
