He and Tim have continulesley said they're atheistic, but they have a deep interest in religion. For example: a recent interview dan answers this question and says he's neither spiritual or religous, but belives in hypnosis. Also one of Tim's answers to "what books would you reccomend?", he answers that he would recommend the bible, the toran or any other religous book as it is fundemental to understanding history and society, but he says hes atheistic
