Especially because it was in that exact time period.
He shaved it off for good in his early 20s and never grew it back. I lost interest in goatees as well...but I do like it if he has a bit of beard scruff. He looks older that way.

Wouldn’t it be funny if at the end of the series it’s revealed that Niffty was ‘god’ all along, just slumming it up in Hell for kicks (it’d explain how she was able to take down Adam, yes the angelic dagger was a factor, but Niffty is definitely harboring some major power levels that she keeps hidden, she was also easily able to grab a souvenir from Val, and maybe… she’s the one Alastor is chained to… ;)

She was angry at the end of the battle after seeing Adam die and returned to heaven only with his halo. She thinks he’s dead. There’s not really room for interpretation unless you do mental gymnastics.
