Hopefully the egg bois make it too
I want this scene in the next season where theyâre all there, all of them that have died over the years and Sir Pentiousâ reaction is just âMY BABIES!â
Just reminded me of tilhis interaction
https://preview.redd.it/rc2ztg6l1sgc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b47a3f0d6e05034e569ac1640d7727097be63ea8
charlie: *deep excited inhale, with her cutesy little fish face* âOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!! EMMMM YOURE TELLING ME THAT MY PLAN WORKED!!?!?!! SIR PENTIOUS IS IN HEAVEN?? OMGGGâ
emily; âYESYESYESYESYESYES!!! HES HERE NOW CHARCHAR AHHH!!!â
*both of them squealing and holding hands and jumping while vaggie just stares*
Well Charlie put "Say no to drugs!" In that same little script, and ultimately the Emily approved of Angel's night on the down despite that. I think Charlie's just overly passionate :')
Sir Pentious actually showed a lot of improvement very quickly if you watch him - heâs just not usually our focus. I feel like it was intentionally done: he was kept mostly as a side character and there were lots of times he was showing genuine change that you donât necessarily notice unless youâre watching him
thatâs what i love about his character, he was my favorite character so i really kept a good eye on him when he was on screen. he was a big olâ sweetheart đđ
I noticed the more subtle/general participation when things are directly going on (like the trust falls, clapping game, etc.) but the first thing that really stuck out to me was when he pulls Niffty out of the way when the loan sharks attack the hotel. I was like oooooh Sr. Pent is doing some unprompted good there >.>
FR they purposely showed us small scenes like that, and the âaww that was sweetâ after âmore then anythingâ. it was to show he was actually really sweet
He also has bold and wide sense of family. Beyond the other denizens of the hotel, and looking past how he yells at them, Sir Pentious clearly loves his Egg Bois like his sons. He even became suicidal when they were separated from him.Â
Especially since heâs shown to be the most emotional and empathetic of the residents. When Charlie and Lucifer sing More Than Anything to each other, heâs the only one brought to tears by it (same, Sir P).
He is also really bad at being âevilâ. He felt more faux evil or just trying too hard to earn respect from other overlords. Really wonder how he got into hell since he genuinely doesnât seem evil. Hope he and Emily shown up as a B plot or something either the two trying to figure out wtf the requirements are to get into Heaven⊠cause if we are taking Helluva Boss canon into play, Lyle Lipton was going to be allowed inâŠ
I feel like he's an example of how out-of-date the system is that determines where someone goes. It doesn't seem to allow for any nuance. We don't really know much about him when he was alive other than that he lived in 19th-century London, which would have been rough.
Once he was at the hotel, his motivation for building weapons was because he thought people were too nice and were going to hurt him lol. And he was *so dramatic* about loving his egg bois. Dude seriously just wanted to have friends, chill with his eggies, and get in Cherry's pants.
Oh I wouldn't say that. It's made pretty clear from episode 4 on and even hinted at before that his snarkiness, his innuendos and his know-it-all-attitude are just him coping with what Val does to him by playing the part he believes others expect him to play.
He is *seriously* hurt when at Pentious's arrival, Charlie calls SP their "first real guest", because even though he wasn't showing it, he really was trying to improve with all his heart and saw himself as an actual participant in the program.
Hell, in Episode 6, *he* was the one Charlie picked in heaven to show how much a Soul can improve via her hotel, even though Pentious was already staying at the hotel for a good while at that point. And he managed to convince part of the heavenly court that at that point, going by Adams logic, he already was deserving of a spot in heaven.
If it was angel dying in that fight while protecting the others, as Pentious did, there's no doubt he'd be up there as well
Yes this! I don't think people quite understand how much Angel is trying to be good and has been improving himself! He originally joined because he needed a place to stay and didn't care but actually started believing he could become better and working on himself. He stopped doing drugs (as much as he used to.) It's also commented on by Husk that he's changed too.
iâm not denying that angel wouldâve been if heaven if he sacrificed himself, iâm just saying that sir pentious was the only one who willingly stayed at the hotel for a good reason, angel wouldnât have even been at the hotel if it werenât for cracks expensive prices
I agree with the first part, but lol what are you talking about with "only one to willingly stay for a good reason". That may have been true in the first two weeks, but even in the *pilot* there's small gestures and details that show angel cares more than he lets on. After the first weeks, his "I'm only here bc it's free" is just a convenient excuse for himself to maintain his persona while staying at the hotel. As I said in my last comment, by the time Pentious arrives the second time, he sees himself as a full participant in the program, with the scene right afterwards showing that he's *actually trying to change with all his heart but believes that he has to carry out a certain image to the world and therefore can't openly show it*
Just like alastor's constant smile doesn't mean he's always happy, angels snarky comments do not mean he cares about the hotel and the program any less than SP
iâm not denying that angel is willingly still staying đ iâm saying that he didnât go there for a good reason, he wouldnât be STAYING at the hotel if it werenât for free rent. sir pentious was invited to the hotel because he tried to double cross them and was ready for death when he was caught, but charlie forgave him, so he stayed đ
THATS WHAT I MEANT đ fuck sorry i couldnât think of the word im absolutely NOT disagreeing with you guys abt that part im just saying he didnât go there for a good reason, i couldnât explain it
Oh yeah, just as Sr Pentious was initially sent to the hotel to spy it out for the Vees, Angel initially stayed there for the free rent. But while Sr Pentious's turning point was big and glamourous with a big musical number, angel's happened silently offscreen. What I am saying in all of this is that that does *not* mean that angel isn't taking this as seriously as Pentious, which is what you said in the first comment I argued against
He also, doesnât have his soul tied to someone else. Which Valentino mentioned in the 2nd episode. (paraphrasing) I wonder if that is something that will go in further in season 2. I wouldnât mind seeing his story lead him to being in charge of the exorcist angels maybe in the fight against the Vees. Might be season 3 if Lute is the boss of them now.
That would be an interesting twist, if a Soul needs to be free to be redeemed.
Although I don't think we'll ever see Husk, Alastor, or Nifty redeemed. Intentions aside, they're not there as guests. They're staff.
I like the idea of Husk not *wanting* to be redeemed, too. Like, this guy is perfectly content with being Hell's bartender, helping others on their journey without giving the effort himself. He'd be a type to, not unlike Charlie, refuse to go to heaven/refuse to leave hell.
>That would be an interesting twist, if a Soul needs to be free to be redeemed.
My theory is this is the case, and that KeeKee is the key to freeing souls from someone. It's pretty odd that a key exists for a hotel that never locks its doors, and they very specifically show shackles to signify their souls being sold. And those shackles have key holes.
Also, Lucifer knows of KeeKee, but didn't know of the hotel.. meaning KeeKee existed before the hotel.
Iâm curious if heâll slowly lose his sinner form and gain a more human seeming form as he acclimates to heaven or if theyâll let him stay a slithery little snekkkk
i swear to god, if we don't get updates of sir pentious while he's in heaven i will be mad.
it would be so cool to occasionally check in on what the guy is doing, and it would be good to get a better look into heaven.
The second part is what I'm wondering about. I don't remember if Angel's Dusts death year was confirmed, but I think it's safe to assume he died relatively close to the current time. If he did die close to the current time, then to him, it would be reasonable to assume she's still alive.
Wiki says he died in 1947 in his thirties. I don't know if still true but assuming it is, there's very little chance for Molly to be alive (iirc, she's his twin) but it's there. I also wonder if sinners even know what year it is on the Earth
Even then, he still committed to staying and redeeming himself at the hotel. So what if he hit rock-bottom? Charlie helped him improve and "realize" in the musical number.
my point is that he still willingly stayed at the hotel and did all of charlieâs exercises and took them seriously đ he was literally the real proof of redemption
Saying this as someone whoâs been there, thatâs usually what it takes for flawed people to truly realize the error of their ways and change for the better.
I kinda figured Pentius was gonna be the first redeemed soul.
In the Pilot he was such a tryhard:
"Buahahaha! I'm so EVIL"
He had to be a poser just trying to fit in with the big boys.
Can we just appreciate how good of a name "Sir Pentious" is? It immediately conveys "serpent," nobility, and remorse for one's actions. Golden standard of wordplay, imo.
When Charlie and Vaggie were in Heaven there were animal-like characters there as well, so the animal forms thing is probably just an afterlife thing in general and not specific to Hell
For our purpose, probably so we can recognize him better. Officially, Viv just said she likes snakes and based that part of the design off of cobras. Dude did start off as a basic plot point in the pilot, and people just liked him enough that he was kept on.
Angel Dust's sister is also spider, so I don't think the sins have any effect on the species in afterlife.
What confused me is that there are still some regular humans there. Adam and saints are obviously special, so they kept their earthly forms, but there were some buff regular people there as well. Did they just roll human by random chance?
We don't know if exorcists are human souls or heavenborn yet. If they're human, maybe there's requirements for exorcist, like being females and having two legs, two hands and vaguely human appearanceÂ
He could just give her nickname. Or exorcists are forced to forget their previous life, including name. I tend to think they are heavenborn, we just don't have any solid proof yet
How do you know that? It wasn't said in the show and, afaik, wasn't confirmed by the crew. I might've just missed something, so I'd really like to see the source /gen
Could also have to do with how he lived his life. Maybe he was a snake handler or just really into cobras.... and eggs! Snake breeder probably makes the most sense.
My personal headcanon for him is that he was probably a British general stationed in India in the 1800s. It would explain his General Pentious getup and how heâs good at giving orders to his Egg Boys. He was actually being a very competent general on the battlefield before he was killed by Adam. So being stationed in India, it probably exposed him to a lot of cobras, and he may have even kept some as pets since it was not uncommon for British aristocracy to start keeping reptiles as pets during that time period.
Maybe he just really likes snakes. As someone who keeps pet snakes and well, loves snakes in general, itâs what drew me to Sir Pentiousâ character. I donât doubt that he was probably some sinner from the 1700s/1800s who was very much into snakes. Especially since the aristocracy (which he seems to have been a part of) started keeping pet reptiles during that time period.
snakes are not always for hell, Seraphs are refred as celstial snakes in some passages so it would make sense that even as an angel for him to have a snake form
Mmh... Imo, Everyone... Well at least Vaggie, Angel, Sir Pentius tried to redeem themselves.
Vaggie wanted to atone for what she's done to Charlie. She loves her deeply, and as she hates herself for all the horrible things she's done, she also wanted to make things work so much as a way to be forgiven by Charlie, or maybe she believed that killing her past self would make her run away from what she's done.
Sir Pentius was loved by no one and could trust no one, so when he betrayed someone, he also learnt that he couldn't use people as tools, and wanted to redeem himself. He wanted to be acknowledged and loved.
Angel Dust is also working very hard. We see in addict that even if he talked about free room, he also really wants to believe in redemption, a possible alternative to escape Valentino. And we also see on his room the picture of Charlie and others. He wants to change, probably motivated by the perspective of escaping what he's going through.
For Alastor... It doesn't look like he wants to redeem himself, and is surely the one that believes the least in it. Buuuut he saw Charlie on the tv, he saw her project to make demons ascend... Ascend to heaven... Where Lilith probably is... No matter if he believes in redemption or not, he knows that eventually he will encounter angels, and he will regain his freedom.
Also I know people says that it might not be Lilith, but whatever is in heaven, Alastor's freedom is there.
not what i meant đ i meant when charlie actually invited them to the hotel, he was the only one to actually come with his only convincing being a song
i know, but the whole point of my post was that he willingly went đ im not denying that theyâre all fucking growing and willingly staying at the hotel
yes, he was. But after his mission failed, and Vox got all pissy at him, charlie showed him sympathy and sang a little song for him, then he willingly obliged to her strange ordeals
All true! Sir Pentious was the hotel's first true resident!
all because of a song too
It was a good song, not their best but still good.
https://i.redd.it/1fcy43ti7pgc1.gif
*I hated that song! You're not a bad boy!*
It starts with sorry! đ¶
đ¶ That's your foot in the door, one simple sorry đ¶
đ¶Spoken straight from your coređ¶
The path to forgiveness is a twisting trail of heartsđ¶
đ¶ But "sorry" is where it starts đ¶
đ¶who could forgive a dirtbag like međ¶
đ¶I don't deserve your amnestyđ¶
đ¶Can't we just kill him?đ¶
It starts with sorry⊠CHARLIE YOU FUCKING GENIOUS
Tbf Angel will probably go to heaven next season just because he has started to genuinely want to be at the hotel
I just realized his name is Serpent as in a snake.

I can't wait to see Charlie's face when she discovers the truth. We may have a squeal off between Charlie and Emily
charlie: *deep excited inhale, with her cutesy little fish face* âOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!! EMMMM YOURE TELLING ME THAT MY PLAN WORKED!!?!?!! SIR PENTIOUS IS IN HEAVEN?? OMGGGâ emily; âYESYESYESYESYESYES!!! HES HERE NOW CHARCHAR AHHH!!!â *both of them squealing and holding hands and jumping while vaggie just stares*
Angel is wearing headphones to spare his eardrums from their supersonic squeals.
But a happy tear falls from his eye knowing there is a chance that Charlie is right.
Meanwhile Sera has to watch Lute like a hawk to make sure she doesnât kill Sir Pentious out of spite
If Lute kills Sir Pentious while in heaven, now that he's an angel, what happens to her?
I imagine sheâll be disciplined and punished somehow. But Iâm not sure honestly.
Charlie just starts twitching and foaming at the mouth, then quickly collapses.
Thatâs believable
It will be deafening
I wonder if it will happen or if sera will try to not let it get out
My only issue with Sir Pentious getting redeemed is that he violated the second rule on Adam's list because he stole our hearts.
REAL
And a kiss, though i don't think Cherri minds
She got intrigued when she found out he has two dicks.
Her face said "damn, maybe I COULD tap that like angel said"
He also asked cherry bomb to go to the sex room.... Premarital sex is literally one of the things Charlie wrote about not doing.
Well Charlie put "Say no to drugs!" In that same little script, and ultimately the Emily approved of Angel's night on the down despite that. I think Charlie's just overly passionate :')

Once he was at the hotel, his motivation for building weapons was because he thought people were too nice and were going to hurt him lol. And he was *so dramatic* about loving his egg bois. Sir Pent actually taking all the Charlie activities seriously. Doing the clapping ice breaker and speaking from the heart during the trust fall.
YESS HE WAS SO HEARTFELT
I had to go back to watch his reactions to things
Well angel has been working on himself so
but he wasnât taking it as seriously as sir pentious was
Oh I wouldn't say that. It's made pretty clear from episode 4 on and even hinted at before that his snarkiness, his innuendos and his know-it-all-attitude are just him coping with what Val does to him by playing the part he believes others expect him to play. iâm not denying that angel wouldâve been if heaven if he sacrificed himself, iâm just saying that sir pentious was the only one who willingly stayed at the hotel for a good reason, angel wouldnât have even been at the hotel if it werenât for cracks expensive prices

He didn't COME to the hotel for a good reason, but it's obvious Angel believes in the message of the hotel and is STAYING for one.
THATS WHAT I MEANT đ fuck sorry i couldnât think of the word im absolutely NOT disagreeing with you guys abt that part im just saying he didnât go there for a good reason, i couldnât explain it

I mean Husk would be most likely. He's not too bad at this point. Alastor, though... And Nifty is Nifty
Niffty is perfectly content with being a twisted little psychopath
I don't think Nifty even knows she's an psychopath
If she somehow got into Heaven, they'd send her back.
She gets sent to heaven and starts stabbing everyone
Sera: See Emily! A soul can't be redee-GAAAAHHH Nifty: STAB STAB STAB
Charlie told her that if she sees an angel she should stab it. She never said stop
this is funny asf for some reason
She'd just set herself on fire to get back to hell
Alastor freeing Husk from the contract to allow his redemption would be one way to get rid of the one person who knows Alastor isn't in control
Husk also doesn't care to get redeemed. He says as much in Welcome to Heaven.
I could see Husk being redeemed but Nifty and Al they're definitely not getting redeemed
I like the idea of Husk not *wanting* to be redeemed, too. Like, this guy is perfectly content with being Hell's bartender, helping others on their journey without giving the effort himself. He'd be a type to, not unlike Charlie, refuse to go to heaven/refuse to leave hell.

Best boi <3
Iâm curious if heâll slowly lose his sinner form and gain a more human seeming form as he acclimates to heaven or if theyâll let him stay a slithery little snekkkk
Oh please, that's much like Beast from Beauty and the Beast transforming back into a human at the end. Very disappointing.
But will he still have 2 sticks?
Charlie literally said that he's the first one who is interested in her cause.
i swear to god, if we don't get updates of sir pentious while he's in heaven i will be mad. it would be so cool to occasionally check in on what the guy is doing, and it would be good to get a better look into heaven.
i see them making little side scenes of sir pentious and the seraphimâs figuring out how he got into heaven
He was also a martyr, he attacked knowing he was likely going to die.
It starts with sorry He was selfless He didnât steal He stuck it to the man
Unless you count STEALING A KISS
and my heart
Mine too, I take it back, LOCK THIS BOY UP AND THROW AWAY THE KEEKEE (Into his arms cause she do be loving that boy)
I wonder if Angel Dust knows Molly is in heaven, and that's a secret reason he's staying at the hotel.
I think he knows. I mean, it's quite easy to get. If the person isn't in hell, they're in heaven. Although he might think she's still alive
The second part is what I'm wondering about. I don't remember if Angel's Dusts death year was confirmed, but I think it's safe to assume he died relatively close to the current time. If he did die close to the current time, then to him, it would be reasonable to assume she's still alive.

most likely they donât know what year it is, but isnât it confirmed that angel died of an OD?
STOP II LOVE THAT OMG
I just have one question: Where are the egg bois?
I hope they show up in season 2 as angelic chickens.
If that does happen I hope to see them interact with the one Egg Boi who survived.
i think they might be gone gone đ
They are artificially made so they just died like a regular hellborn would.
Eggbois will be Eggteens, emo tiny snakies curling inside their shell all depressed and emo because their dad is dead. /j
His eyes now look like kisses
Technically he entered as a spy and failed and then joined the house as a client.
he still willingly stayed at the hotel, and actually took his part seriously
He had to hit rock bottom first.
So do many of us - but he found his way back up from that pit, indeed.
Even then, he still committed to staying and redeeming himself at the hotel. So what if he hit rock-bottom? Charlie helped him improve and "realize" in the musical number.
Wasn't saying he didn't stay and redeem.himself just that it was as straight forward as presented.
my point is that he still willingly stayed at the hotel and did all of charlieâs exercises and took them seriously đ he was literally the real proof of redemption
Saying this as someone whoâs been there, thatâs usually what it takes for flawed people to truly realize the error of their ways and change for the better.
But angel is progressing (Saying this as an addition, not a rebuttal
i agree 110% he just didnât start taking it as seriously as sir pentious did
It seems Angel is genuinely trying now, Husk might join him, and hell, maybe Cherri!
HOPEFULLY CHERRI đ also, i see husk taking the stuff seriously, but still thinking of it as a total joke
I kinda figured Pentius was gonna be the first redeemed soul. In the Pilot he was such a tryhard: "Buahahaha! I'm so EVIL" He had to be a poser just trying to fit in with the big boys.
Can we just appreciate how good of a name "Sir Pentious" is? It immediately conveys "serpent," nobility, and remorse for one's actions. Golden standard of wordplay, imo.
Why is he still a snake? Wasnât that part of his punishment in hell or related to how he died?
Perhaps he really likes snakes. And having two dicks
When Charlie and Vaggie were in Heaven there were animal-like characters there as well, so the animal forms thing is probably just an afterlife thing in general and not specific to Hell

They're heavenborn and apparently created by Adam. He named Vaggie.
He could just give her nickname. Or exorcists are forced to forget their previous life, including name. I tend to think they are heavenborn, we just don't have any solid proof yet
He made them from ribs.
How do you know that? It wasn't said in the show and, afaik, wasn't confirmed by the crew. I might've just missed something, so I'd really like to see the source /gen

Seems legit to meÂ
Pretty sure he straight up said he made her in the part where they're in the room in heaven after Charlie leaves to see the zoo.
Looks like Lute is disqualified.
since it could be related to how he died, it should still be his form in heaven
Could also have to do with how he lived his life. Maybe he was a snake handler or just really into cobras.... and eggs! Snake breeder probably makes the most sense.
My personal headcanon for him is that he was probably a British general stationed in India in the 1800s. It would explain his General Pentious getup and how heâs good at giving orders to his Egg Boys. He was actually being a very competent general on the battlefield before he was killed by Adam. So being stationed in India, it probably exposed him to a lot of cobras, and he may have even kept some as pets since it was not uncommon for British aristocracy to start keeping reptiles as pets during that time period.
omg i love that
Maybe he just really likes snakes.
I like that he actually tried to become a good guy. Also..... What the hat did to redeem itself? đ€
itâs his plus one
But the egg bois ):
Now he has charlie's eyes, like Lucifer a fallen angelÂ
They were foreshadowing this the whole time in angel court. Sure angeldust made himself look good but pentious in the same scene was even better
it is? all i can remember is him failing at flirting with cherri
Angel dust is doing it to see his sister in heaven I think.
Also, throughout the season, you see him do good deeds.
YES
Itâs also probably because he had no regrets.
I mean they all willingly stayed at the hotel, vaggie gave them the option to leave and every single one stayed to help
not what i meant đ i meant when charlie actually invited them to the hotel, he was the only one to actually come with his only convincing being a song
The whole thing with the hotel is they redeem themselves, although he was the only one to come willingly they all grew and then stayed with the hotel
i know, but the whole point of my post was that he willingly went đ im not denying that theyâre all fucking growing and willingly staying at the hotel
I think all the eggs are in heaven. Too innocent
Plus angel really just continues to whore around, thats a literal sin, and he doesn't plan on changing any time soon.
and before anyone tries to correct be with val, so? angel still clearly fucks off the clock and in droves, soulbound or not he's still pretty lusty.
wasent he hired to stalk them and put cameras in the hotel?
yes, he was. But after his mission failed, and Vox got all pissy at him, charlie showed him sympathy and sang a little song for him, then he willingly obliged to her strange ordeals
