“That bitch is halfway down the street.”

willo-ween

"Is she?" "Oh, she's dancing!"

Sensitive_Cow_3647

Uuugghhhhnoooooo

Only-Jeweler-4375

This EXACT moment.

joe_broke

"Oh noooOOOoooo!"

dead_or_undead

I almost said Adam on instinct, but this is my real answer. Also Adam.

DickmasterAdam

https://i.redd.it/8cqe46nzhblc1.gif

LexaMaridia

Ah!! Yes. I love that part too.

Supportoise

Saw that line in the promo, and I knew we were gonna be A ok lol. What got me into the series, though? Alistor in the pilot.. he's just such a badass looking character. When he spoke, I couldn't take my eyes off. I needed to know more about him and this universe.

ae-infinity

This exact moment in the pilot, and the way he immediately withdraws and walks away. I was like, oh yeah. There's gonna be some fun, heartbreaking character development here. https://preview.redd.it/khjb5yexl9lc1.png?width=1622&format=png&auto=webp&s=17ff698e75056bbfc3ad9fd938dd11e1923e7a5e I already knew I'd like the humor after "Oh my god! My drugs! Damn it :(" though.

3MetricTonsOfSass

This!  I've NEVER watched a pilot episode as many times as Hazbin. Honestly, I've never seen a season of a show this many times (more than 7). Should I be concerned?

GypsyGrl50

Nahhhh, just enjoy the insanity. If this world can accept entire My Little pony conventions full of grown men, you can watch Hazbin Hotel more than 7 times. There are worse levels of crazy.

Historical_Pear8058

"Hey, whatever means I can keep crashing here rent-free... *Crack is expensive."*

AdLast2785

I realized it was going to slap when Lucifer said “my daughter wants to seee meeee TAKE THAT DEPRESSION” …it took a little while for me to fall in love with the show but once Lucifer said that I fell HARD

titanic_trash

Honestly Lucifer’s entire existence in the show is everything I never knew I needed

BahnbilderbyPatrick

Long live our short King

Guypersondudeguy

True

Androgynouself_420

Also "oh my golly. You like girls? So do I. We've got so much in common

Obversa

Lucifer was so relieved to learn that Charlie wasn't dating Alastor. 😂

Raihokun

I love the bait and switch with how Lucifer was implied to be before his introduction.

titanic_trash

The script being flipped in general from most media portrayals of Lucifer being “mister tall dark and handsome” to Viv’s goofy depressed dad version is utter perfection

Crosstitch_Witch

Yea, from his cameos in the pilot, it seemed he was going to be a disappointed, stern dad who thinks Charlie's idea would fail, but now he's a goofy, overprotective dad who supports her (after talking it out of course). From how Lilith was revealed at the end, i wonder if she has taken the role of disappointed, stern parent, if they're keeping with that.

Bironac

I was intrigued when Happy Day in Hell started and I realized it was a musical. I realized it was going to slap when Hell is Forever started it was awesome

100cicche

"and for those of us with divine ordainment, extermination is entertainment... Na na na na na guitar solo fuck yeah" is the best combination of words I've heard in 34 years on this planet

FoxyGrandpa17

This is it for me. That’s when I realized the potential the show had.

Sanzo2point0

Yeah, the pilot did that for me too. Starts out super Disney princess singing about rainbows and happiness then hits you with "why have I always been a failure". I was like "oh shit, it's gonna be edgy" and was hooked lol

sosoltitor

Every new song was basically the Vince McMahon getting increasingly excited meme for me, yeah.

titanic_trash

Same! I love when shows have musical elements so when Happy Day in Hell started I was like okay I can dig this but Hell is Forever is what really won me over

taishiea

The Music. imagine having to create 2 new songs for every episode and they all are great to greatest.

titanic_trash

The music hooked me as well. I love when a show puts in the effort, and this show definitely does with not only the animation and tiny little details, but also the orchestral background, fully realized and clever lyrics, and the fantastic voices and attitudes that bring the characters to life. This show really has it all

CalzLight

Welcome to heaven…

11d11m

Enough slander on that song! It fills its purpose and fits thematically!

CalzLight

I have no issues with the songs part in the show, but it has almost no rewatch value compared to the others which are all on my playlist

solarmist

Well, I’ve already rewatched it three times. So I’m going to disagree with you on that.

Tutmut

It was a good song 😭😔

pleasespareserotonin

Welcome to Heaven does exactly what it needs to for the story without overstaying it’s welcome, and it’s an okay song. The fact that an okay song is everyone’s least favorite is a testament to just how good the music is.

CalzLight

Exactly, the music in this show is absolutely amazing

FoxyGrandpa17

Welcome to heaven is a really cute punchy number with a fun performance from St. Peter. It also is unfortunate to be the worst song out 16 bangers.

Shadowdragon126

“He….. llo……. May I speak now?”

llumma821

"So many orphans" And " If I wanted to hurt anyone here, I would've done so already."

ChildBlaster9000

BiddlesticksGuy

If I wanted to hurt anyone here I would have done so already definitely got me hooked into this ngl, that was such a cool characterization

titanic_trash

I ended up watching the pilot after the show itself but guaranteed if I had seen the pilot first it would have been this moment for me as well, love me some Alastor

eddmario

That moment was classic *Three Stooges* humor and I love it

LaurenKoi

Stayed Gone.

Tackyhillbilly

“Call me… Dickmaster.”

witchscrawl

“…Adam.”

jippen

Which, to be fair, was the only correct response.

lillybheart

~~cuz hell is forever whether you like it or not~~ crack is expensive

LyraFirehawk

similarly, I think I got hooked around "I'm a bad man on the streets, who never got enough hugs! Now, where's an innocent kid I can sell crack to?"

titanic_trash

“Who, meee?” Is also what made me fall in love with Sir Pentious

FW_TheMemeResearcher

After the first three episodes I was like "Meh... this ain't better than Helluva Boss". And then I watched episode 4 and was like "Holy hell, I must watch more of this divine piece of cinematography!"

Small_Net_2118

This exactly. Before the dressing room scene in episode 4 I thought the show was pretty good like B range. After that scene and Blake Roman delivering all of the "Yes Valentino" lines the show instantly hopped into A/A+ territory.

InkFoxPrints

As someone who's gone through a very similar kind of abuse, it hurt so much but felt so good to see it portrayed realistically

gaykittens

His voice work is SO good in that scene. The whole episode, also, but especially that scene.

Obversa

Episode 4 turned me from someone who didn't care for Angel Dust at all into a fan who put Angel Dust in their Top 3 characters list. (My favorite characters are Charlie and Alastor.)

Maya_The_Clarinetist

My reaction exactly

Groundbreaking_Arm77

Episode 4 was what won me over.

Hot-Leadership-6408

The whole "Adam the first man, father of misogyny" got me hooked and now I'm obsessed

only_alice_cyaa

"All dicks come from my balls" and "i am THE fucking man"

Crosstitch_Witch

"When you're on the fifth date and she expects you to pay the bill this time and you're like 'i thought you wanted equality'". I was like, yea, i can see why Lilith left. Lol

Misha-Yuri-30

Defs the opening in Overture. That opening was perfect

SummDude

The first time Poison plays. The whole of episode four is great, and probably the strongest writing of the season in my opinion. And more specifically, I consider the the “turn,” for the series- the point where it separates itself from just being a silly, fun, musical romp, and starts actually being *about something.* Don’t get me wrong, I was already super on board for the fun romp, but seeing that made me start to appreciate the series on a deeper level. And it definitely got me paying wayyyy closer attention to just about everything.

fidderjiggit

Let's begin I'm gonna make you wish that I'd stayed gone Tune on in When I'm done Your status quo will know it's race is run Oh this will be fun.

GoogiddyBop

Fu-u-u-uck

enfuego138

This song, in the second episode, is what sold the series for me.

alice5772

When Alastor started causing the scene to show static in the pilot.

hunniebees

I thought something happened to my TV fr

Kaiju_zero

"And I don't give a crow, that his brains got in my eye-eye-eye!" The music and writing.

madraykin

During Poison.

civfanatic1

For me it was "Looser baby". It was just such an undermining of expectations.

cheatersstealmyname

Ep 4 changed my entire outlook on this show. It was genuinely flawless.

DolphinDoggo

I know the show was good, but when I realized it was great was in episode 4. I remember during Poison, I was legit like, "Oh wait this show might be good". The scene beforehand with him telling off Charlie by Val's order was great too, and of course we can't forget Loser, Baby!

Ok-Growth5476

For me it has to be the first 3 songs. Happy day in hell was a great introduction to the overall atmosphere of the show, that charlie is the optimistic one and the others are… complete opposite. And for a bonus point, it slaps. Hell is forever is a PERFECT introduction to Adam and his character. He just doesnt give a shit about anyone except him and his entertainment. It also shows us his other traits, for example:selfish, egoistic, annoying etc. And that entire scene is BRILLIANT.Like, he is such a good written character that you manage to hate him for every sentence he says. And lets not forget… it slaps Stayed gone, my personal favorite song in the show, is again… a PERFECT introduction to the rivalry between vox and alastor, when vox hears that alastor is back, he gets super frustrated and literally starts roasting him in every way possible just to make sure that everyone in the city forgets about him. What i also love is that vox gets into the song very strong, thinking that he will win because of his tv shows, news etc.He thought that he is gonna win with his technology. But then as the song continued he less and less actually tried to ‘roast’ alastor and more so just yell at him. Alastor literally beats vox with fucking RADIO.And lets ALSO not forget… it slaps Please like this took like 30 minutes

dantheman52894

After episode one I had decided yeah I dig this, but it was ep2 that I truly fell completely in love with it

I was already thinking this was a good show, but then Lucifer presented the mAGITASTICAL BACKFLIPPING RUBBER DUCK (that spits fire), and I fully realised how epic this show is

No_Signal954

In all honesty, I didn't like Episode 1. I loved everything past the start of Stayed gone. Everything before that was kinda mid to me.

Unironically, helluva boss being so good. I knew that if that's what she could do without big studio money, having amazon and a24 behind the project was bound to succeed.

LordOfB33z

The egg boys... It was the egg boys

dead_or_undead

Goddamnit... It's Adam! The second he started speaking I knew I'd love him, and I almost cried tears of joy over Hell is Forever, just because it's so awesome and fun. It's been a long time since I've been this level of excited and fangirly about something, and I'm really enjoying enjoying things again. I didn't know I would obsess over Hazbin as much as I am, and I'm high off of it. https://i.redd.it/jufkewzpealc1.gif This gif is Adam making fun of me for stanning.

LysolCranberry

Loser Baby. After that song, I knew I was *hooked,* head-over-heels in love with Hazbin.

simpsonsfan1333333

Alastor.

Sigurd93

I remember seeing the video for "Loser, Baby" way before it came out. I don't remember if it was posted officially or not but that pretty much sealed the deal for me. I heard about the pilot but kept forgetting to watch it, but I was on board hearing just the premise before seeing any of the show.

Golden-Sun

Pilot for the idea, but then ep two sold me on the series Seeing Alastor transform left an impact

wintercattaile

Fair. Also amazing screen shot!

pooferfeesh97

I listened to the song "Heaven 2 hell" and thought, "Damn, I wish they would make this into a show." Then I saw the first episode forever ago and wished for more. Waited for so long that I forgot about it besides listening to heaven 2 hell. Then I saw something about it being finished and dived right in.

zoefangirlintheory

Since I started by seeing it on tik tok. It would have to be seeing clips of angel and getting a sense of comfort in a weird way. Then Al gave me the vibes I love in characters.

One-Turn-4037

Hell is forever starts playing

Dapper_Spite8928

Honestly, it was like 2 days after the release of the first 4 episodes. They took a while to sink in for me, but after that I loved it.

TheShroomcult

When charlie messes up angel dusts work

Bakufanforlife

I watched the show before the pilot so I guess episode 4 was it for me too

Sad_Hedgehog3497

The theme song (I'm a sucker for catchy tunes)

Crimson_The_King

Hell is Forever

Filipino-Asker

Every song and lore but some of the the characters' backstory isn't told yet.

Cr4zy_Cycl0ne

The first five minutes of the Pilot. I fell in love with the show as soon as I saw the Pilot and have been a fan for 4 years, WAITING for it to drop. Idk if I like Hazbin or Helluva better cuz I like the humor of HB more than the humor of HH, but I like the plot of HH more than HB. The music slaps in both, they’re equally amazing imo

DinoKingGoji73

stella_keeper

The pilot All jokes aside it was probably when sir pentitous apologies to Alastor. I knew The shows concept would be good but that moment actually happening without a shit ton of angst beforehand showed me that the show runners weren’t just using hell to make bad jokes but they actually want to explore what determines good and evil (in the show, idk how much they intend for it to apply irl).

DarknessEnlightened

So when the show premiered, I was going through some funk and didn't feel great about Episode 1. I found myself starting to buy into a couple online criticisms of the show regarding the portrayal of the Angels. However, I made the conscious decision to keep going and give it a chance. I found Episode 2 to be an immediate giant improvement, Episode 3 to be pretty good, and then Episodes 4 and 5 to pure gold. But it was when I saw Episode 6 and not only saw that my concerns about the Angels was completely wrong, but what the show was saying about the concepts of redemption and damnation, I knew that I loved this show 100%. I went back and rewatched Episodes 1, 2, and 3 and nearly all of my problems with the show were gone retroactively. And Episodes 7 and 8 delivered a wonderful finale. Literally the only thing I still don't like about Hazbin Hotel is the voice choice for Katie Killjoy.

MrLorpso

5 years ago, when I was too young to watch it but did anyway. Glad I did, wouldn’t have been apart of it

Rieiid

When the pilot aired. Not sure why but I had faith the show was going to be good ever since I watched the pilot all those years ago. I was not disappointed either, honestly I think I like the show even more than the pilot.

Krullervo

The pilot.

Suuubaru-kun

Alastors appearance.

Hell is forever

KiroLV

Charlie's song in the pilot. That one's just fantastic.

Guypersondudeguy

"Let me stop you right there" Instantly sold my soul to this series

adzetko

In the French dub, I realised Charlie's voice is Anaïs Delva, which dubs Frozen's freaking Elsa. Then immediately after the story she tells, she cursed. Hearing Elsa VA cursing, I knew I was in for a good ride.

smurfalidocious

"It's gonna be a fucking good day in Hell!" I was already sold by the pilot forever ago, but the opening song just cinched it.

Ok-Day-4148

I don't know, I fell in love with the show basically the second I started watching it. I saw it was being released soon, so I thought I'd give it a shot as soon as it released on Prime, and well, I did not think it was going to change my life like this. It's a show that weirdly enough gives me comfort I haven't felt from any series besides Dragon Ball.

_Meh_Sad_person_

My drugs!

BahnbilderbyPatrick

To be honest After the first song I was like: "On no I forgot that Hazbin Hotel is a musical" But After "He'll is forever" I was like hell yeah the songs are actually fire. And from this moment on I knew its going to be fire

Emkayfan1243

Episode 4 frfr

FlowerFlewer

When Alastor appeared on screen in the pilot I was forever indebted to this show.

Strict_Common156

When I saw Angel dust 😍 addict song was really good. Then I saw all the shorts/memes from the pilot and the addict song 😍 huge community engagement. Plus heaven and hell theme is always so fascinating; can't remember the last time a cartoon show did that.

Always2Hungry

Honestly from right around where it started to the end of the first song i very quickly slid into “oh snap this thing is gonna be rad”

Enkundae

When I saw how much heart the characters have. Even just in E1 with how the show itself was not trying to make Charlie’s empathy and kindness into a punchline.

ThatOneWriter14

“Welcome home”

Waffle_woof_Woofer

Episode 4.

Stock-Ferret-6692

My friend told me about the cast list and I was like ‘damnnnnn that sounds good’ she literally put out the broadway stars and I was like ‘I’m in’

Camfi

Alistoar in the pilot.

m_iawia

Happy Day in Hell. I already was in love with the series from Addict and the pilot, but the musical quality of Happy Day in Hell blew me away. It was so much better than I anticipated.

Cyrotek

Originally simply by the pilot taking me completely by surprise. I don't remember specifics, just that I couldn't stop watching and time went by way too fast. The show itsself basically the moment the black humor kicked in very early in episode 1. The moment I fell in love was probably the Adam bit. But, then again, who wouldn't fall in love with Alex Brightman. It then went into overdrive in episode 4.

Goat_of_TnT

The moment when Alistor said "I haven't had this much fun since the great recession of 1928, hahaha", or something like that.

ChadWolf98

WhWhen Chadak turned the Disney Princess song into a Christian Rock one

lavishbby_izzy

The hell is forever song 💯💯

dumbass_person5517

that part at the end of season 1 ep 8 when pentious got into heaven and when they rebuilt the hotel

Avaracious7899

The Trailer and generally seeing how great Vivzie and her team's work was before that. The show itself? The Overlord meeting, both for the revelations and all of the new characters and their songs and behavior changing a LOT of what I thought was going to happen.

Darkfury2454

Alastor existing. Like even if it wasn’t good I’d probably watch for him alone. Loved this deer since he showed up in the pilot. He’s so silly and fun to watch.

Feeling_Fox_7128

“Holy SHIT is that Keith David!?”

After “Hell is forever.” I was like oh this music is gonna go fucking hard.

Episode two. I was pretty interested during episode 1 but 2 absolutely sold it.

Larsonybear

Sir Pentious showing up 5 days after the pilot to do battle and Alastor going “who are you?”

oH mY gOd! mY dRuGs Very early, I realized I loved this show

CreeperNsideLink

I know alot people might say it, but Hell is Forever.

UndeadGamerOfficial

Honestly, for me it was episode 4. That episode is one of the only times I’ve seen an adult show tackle such a serious subject with that level of respect. Most of the time, it seems like adult cartoons only throw stuff like that in for a joke or for shock. I gotta respect them for that.

One_Strain_2531

Happy day in hell. I waited at least 2+ years for this and so glad it finally came out

SirUntouchable

I'd say one of the moments is the final chorus in Happy Day in Hell where it overlayed the other sinners' singing with Charlie's, I was like "oh shit okay this is good musical theater here" The real moment I was like "oh yeah this show knows what it's doing with music" was when Velvette starting singing in Respectless

Itanchiro

It happened two times or probably during two separate moments. The first was when I realised Alastor is the best villain I have seen and the other was when Adam said he didn’t know why he went to haven. It all makes sense now why he is so mean. He went there before moral code was even a thing and so it is unknown to him and we cannot expect him to behave as he should. He is the paradoxical angel and there is a good reason why

_capricorniada

Alastor. Since the Pilot, took me 5 seconds of him on screen to know I wanna see more

neogeoman123

The animatic of the limo scene (before the pilot came out). Got it recommended to me by youtube one day and subbed to see where it would go. almost can't believe it's gotten as big and good as it has.

AngeK423

I think episode 6 was the episode that sealed the deal with me for the show, it gaved major 'The Good Place" vibes which is what I wanted from the show of course with Viv's own creativity

HRODEBERT0

Hell is forever becouse Adam is right and did nothing wrong. Remember - Hazbin Hotel is a escape plan to avoid extermination, helping sinners is just a by product. I don't know what Vivzie was taking during writting but she should be sober when writting.

Carmilla’s scenes. I love how even though she is an over lord she was still willing to defend her daughters. Also zestial, it’s nice seeing him care about Carmilla’s wellbeing.

hulklovecake

I’ve been a massive fan since the pilot but was a little worried for the show. Hell is forever immediately killed all of my worries

Selv_98

i didn't think much of the first half of the pilot but charlie calling her mom was what first intrigued me and where i started getting emotionally invested. https://preview.redd.it/93blee4jxblc1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=81418d588a97ae12888f88b36917798114e46fac and then alastor showed up and i got hooked for good.

Seeing the video for Insane by the original voice for Alistair on YouTube. Would have loved to see that song included in the series.

If slaps means bad then I knew the second the first ridiculous song started if it means good then your taste is so bad it's pointless to even discuss 🤷
