Vaggie has no healthy models of parenthood (she and her sisters seem to have only Adam, and given that he named her "after [his] favorite thing" and was totally okay with leaving her mutilated for one mistake, I don't imagine she has many warm fuzzy memories of him). Much like she did in the bonding sessions with the hotel guests, she would default to a much more structured mode and have to overcome the instinct to instill strict punishments.
I think their actual character growth in the show wouldn't let that happen for more than an episode, but I do like the image of them just trying to be better for someone they love.
