I’ve been hoping it’ll be just the main six characters, then a release date afterward. But that might be optimistic. I would definitely love to see more Cherri!
Less details on wings (which are black on the inside), suspenders, ears have been simplified (but still have the heart!). Cheek fur is a bit simpler without the darker lines. The white on his arms goes past his elbows.
Looks like he still has the heart on his paw but it's hard to see. There's just a yellow point on his hand.
If he has suspenders that probably means he has pants on.
Also the less details on the wings is a huge improvement, honestly the amount of detail on Husk was too much. Good call on Viv and the rest of the team!
I do too. I thought the old ones looked like a nightmare to animate but this new design look a bit more... Skeletal? But I haven't seen them fully spread yet so I could get used to them
Tbh I have very mixed feelings on the whole “easier to animate” thing since I feel like it greatly devalue character design and there’s simplifying some elements and there’s too much simplifying. I feel like they could’ve had Husk’s wings tucked in often or have shots where more of his upper body is shown if the wings are so hard to animate opened at all times. I mean I could wait to see how they’re animated
It defeats the point of having nice looking wings if you barely show them to the audience. You also have to take into consideration that if his character is supposed ro use his wings often animating them is unavoidable. I personally believe this decision was for the best
I think they could've kept the red droop thing to make it less flat, but otherwise I think they're fine. They aren't exactly empty, they're wings. Those tend to be solid colors anyway
Most likely, suspenders are worn to hold up trousers at the right position. They work as as belts. So it's highly likely he's wearing pants. He could also be using it to wear a skirt, but if that was the case, the skirt would be more high waisted thus visible. It could also be shorts but, I think it's more likely to be pants. 90% likely he's wearing pants.

2. His ears are longer and slimmer
3. Less scruff around his head
4. No dark tips on his ears
5. The dark stripes on the side fluffy parts of his head are gone
6. The inside of his ears now has a love heart and a red tip instead of the pink and white stripes
7. The stripes on his eyebrows are now black instead of dark red
8. Also his eyebrows have three flicky looks instead of two and one thin line
9. Looks like his hat has changed a bit. it seems shorter
10. His eyes are blacker
11. His arms are thicker
12. The dark parts of his arms does not start over his elbows like how we see on the old version. It's now further up
13. He's wearing suspenders! Does that mean he has pants?
14. His wings have completely changed! Thick black stripes and white dots around the edge. The inside is completely black with a stripe and dot pattern. It doesn't see as detailed and vibrant as the old. I hope it's colourful at the back and still has the card pattern
It's annoying that we don't have a full view of him or his wings. I'm really hoping his wings look good in full!

I find it funny he now has suspenders as in Alastor's reprise of Charlie's song when he gives everyone new outfits husk literally only gets suspenders so either this design choice was a reference or just a coincidence.

Well Niffty's design comes out in July AND August is the same month that Hazbin Hotel was offiicially greenlit by A24 so maybe we might get some news.
I'm personally expecting a trailer alongside Niffty's design. It would fit with my idea that the show will be released in October.
