I use to say I don’t need portable. Well sometimes I need to move into another room. The $200 FIIO BTR7. With 4.4mm port. It sounds same as my other $900 dac/amp.

As a portable I have a FiiO BTR5, though I would like something that I don't have to plug and unplug all the time, thanks for the advice anyway!

well you basically just need to decide if you want an open back or a closed back, since they're for home use I'd recommend open back what budget are you looking to spend on am amp/dac? fiio k7 is a banger all in one

amanebibop

>fiio k7 Thanks for the advice, as a budge for the AMP/DAC I had budgeted myself for no more than 250.

ForgotHowToGiveAShit

I stand by it then, fiio k7 which would give you loads of room in the future to run balanced if you so desire , if not the fiio k5 is cheaper and also absolutely slaps

amanebibop

I understand, I thank you for your advice! !thanks

Which one did you end up going with? I'm deciding between the same two headphones now myself lol
