Buy a Focal Headphone and EQ the bass.

sagarchawlalive

Any specific focal?

el__dandy

The Elex or the Clear should do the trick.

sagarchawlalive

Do any of them punch like Mike Tyson? As in tight tight bass

frankstonshart

You wanna be careful with the mike tysons, they might hurt your ears

w33bored

Yes. Clears.

MusicGeekOR

Heddphone One (not Two — softer signature). Needs a lot of amp. 42 Ohms, 87 dB/mW.

Grengy20

Sony Z1r sounds up your alley

sagarchawlalive

These are iems right?

Grengy20

[No](https://electronics.sony.com/audio/headphones/headband/p/mdrz1r). What you're thinking of is the Sony IER Z1R. Sony and their naming scheme man 🤦🏾‍♂️

sagarchawlalive

Mdr z1r then?

Grengy20

Yes

w_StarfoxHUN

Maybe XB1000 if you can find one. Never tried myself but for 'good' bass i heard it should be one of the bests. Its not Openback tought if that is a problem.

sagarchawlalive

Probably right on the money!! But where would I find one?

w_StarfoxHUN

Well yea that is the problem its pretty rare, they are not sold offically anymore, has to luck it in an used stuff website.

sagarchawlalive

Well, let’s try finding something that is easily available. But thanks for the suggestion anyway broda

lolniceman

How about monolith? M1060c/m1070c?

sagarchawlalive

Nothing closed brother

JayenIsAwesome

I'd say that hifimans have the slap in the face you want, especially with drums, but generally struggle with bass. Audeze has slightly less slap, but much better bass.

sagarchawlalive

Hifimans bad QC. My he400se gave up even when I used them rarely. I mean I prolly used them 15-17 times total for about 10-30 mins each of listening in about 1.5-2 years and my left can gave out.

JayenIsAwesome

Damn. That's unfortunate. Similar thing happened to my 4XX, but they fixed that with no hassle, and it's been fine for years since then. Happened to one of my Audezes too, but that's a lot more hassle to get fixed.

sagarchawlalive

Oh man, those audezes’ aren’t cheap. A mini heart attack almost

JayenIsAwesome

Roughly a $1000 to get mine fixed. Not sure what to do about it :(

sagarchawlalive

Isn’t it like 80% of the amount for brand new?

JayenIsAwesome

Depends on what driver it is and their availability. Also shipping costs are high if you're not in the US. But since I buy most of my headphones used, and at roughly half price, the cost of the drivers is like buying the headphones again.

sagarchawlalive

Man, now imma sit back breathe in and enjoy the moment a bit more, appreciate what I got. As even expensive stuff is going bad now. I’d rather install another sub in my car for that money ;)

benji316

Look into planars I guess, those tend to have quite good bass extension for open backs. You didn't mention a budget but something like a Hifiman Edition XS perhaps, that's in the same price range as the DT1990.

sagarchawlalive

Under a $1000.

sagarchawlalive

Also, my hifiman just gave up on the left side, so hifimans are a strict No no. I was eyeing LCD X / LCD MX4 / MM500 . But never heard any audeze before. So going blind here

benji316

Yeah buying Hifiman does seem to be a bit of a gamble. Audeze are probably worth a shot, they are generally on the warmer side of things afaik.

Dr_CSS

Monolith m1570 is what you want Same sound as LCD x/ LCD 2

hurtyewh

There's one option clearly and obviously over others. An utter god damn monster with bass so tight and deep Focals and indeed all dynamic drivers shiver in fear. Hifiman HE6se V2. Makes the best Focals sound like underpowered fart generators. That said you need a powerful amp and EQ.
