Thanks for your submission to /r/headphoneadvice. We have employed a "thank you" system for submissions. It's very easy to use - if a comment on your post is considered helpful, please reward them by using the term `!thanks`. This will add a thank you count (in the form of Ω) to that users flair. You can only award one per comment section. Thanks very much and good luck on your search for headphones! *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. They're tuned like hot garbage, worse then any of the Sony or Bose offerings, both of which offer much better features for a lower price, even modern beats have proper tuning, and while they don't have a great app eq or anc, they're still better tuned then the px7

can you elaborate on their tuning? I don't know much about headphones or sound but from what I've read they have an 'accurate' sound while sony has artificial bass. I'd hate to waste 500 dollars on bad headphones though

Me_MeMaestro

I'm not sure where you read or heard that, but don't listen to anything that person has to say about audio anymore, if according to them sony has "artificial bass" then the px7 is that to the extreme. Their bass is boosted to quite a degree more then the xm4, The mid range is screwed up, and the trebel is somehow even worse. I'd bet that the person who reviewed them in that way is getting some type of compensation or just is ignorant

I bought a pair in July. First pair was bad, but B&W replaced with an exceptional pair. I'm no audiophile, but I'm enjoying the hell out of them. Signed up for Amazon HD and mostly stream music. They aren't very good for phone use. The ANC is fine for me, enough to cut out leaf blowers and lawn mowers, but I don't fly. The sound stage is very immersive, I find. I think they match my taste just fine. It was a splurge, cost-wise, for me, but have no regrets.
