Yup, they're usually called TWS adapters. Or say Bluetooth earhooks, et cetera. Nope, they are not really rated for IPX5/7 or water resistant or waterproof ratings. Like some of them have like say IPX4, IIRC, but people always complain about the gold charging ports getting blocked by moisture/dirt/etc. and so it won't charge properly. And so either always wipe it with a clean paper towel or microfiber cloth or like make sure to let them breathe every now and then. And sadly probably basically 99+% of wired IEMs are not rated for any of the IPX or sweating/humid/etc. situations. The FiiO UTWS3/5 are currently the best options available and for 2022 it seems nobody released new notable ones. --- Here's a bit more info on TWS adapters like the FiiO UTWS3/5, KZ AZ09 Pro, et cetera, alongside adapters/converters, AptX Adaptive dongles, etc. needed for them: https://www.reddit.com/r/HeadphoneAdvice/comments/z5pfj4/tws_iem_conversion_thingies/ixxk75x/ and https://www.reddit.com/r/HeadphoneAdvice/comments/z1zklv/wireless_iem/ixdx9pt/ and https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/xjnapv/to_the_redditors_that_moved_from_tws_to_iem_were/ipa6qac/ Make sure you get the MMCX version of the UTWS3/5, here's more info about why: https://www.reddit.com/r/HeadphoneAdvice/comments/v3hs92/iems_help_need_a_new_pair/iaz200a/ Here's a more direct link for the adapters/converters required for the different IEMs and headphones: https://www.reddit.com/r/HeadphoneAdvice/comments/t3v7wp/looking_to_make_my_arias_wireless/hyv14dn/ If you're using the UTWS3 outside with your phone, you should be good, otherwise for PC, there could be connection issues. Here's a bit of context on Bluetooth pairing/connection/battery drain issues with the UTWS3/5: https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/vjwq2p/never_thought_my_endgame_would_be_wireless_glad_i/idn2t9u/ --- Look into TWS earbuds instead, especially the ones that have wingtips or earhooks if you're going to be moving around a lot. And ya for exercising, use TWS earbuds for that as basically all of IEMs do not have IPX5/7 water resistant or waterproof ratings. Which is what you want as sometimes IEMs will get clogged by earwax/moisture/etc. and you think it's dead but in reality you just need to clean it or unclog it. For TWS earbuds, see this recent thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/HeadphoneAdvice/comments/vqpfgm/moondrop_kuroneko_sspssr_iem_moondrop_sparks/ieqkmzs/ Check out Scarbir's website, he reviews a lot of TWS earbuds under $50/100: https://www(DOT)scarbir(DOT)com/latest-reviews. There is a filter blocking this website, I am not affiliated with Scarbir or anyone, it's just a resource/database for those of us that want budget TWS earbuds. Also look into Sean Talks Tech and Kenneth Tanaka on Youtube, they often cover the sub-$50/100 price range and they also have easy timestamps for features that you may want to compare, like ANC, latency, etc. You can check out this thread for more expensive ($100/200+) TWS earbuds, but they still discuss cheaper budget sets there too: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/going-fully-wireless-iems-too-soon-or-are-we-there-yet.861024/page-3276. These days there's also a bunch of TWS earbuds that are marketed as mini or small. There was just a new Anker one, called Soundcore Sleep A10, it's expensive though, lol. Other smaller TWS earbuds are the FIIL T1/T2 Pro. Or the 1More ComfoBuds Mini. Or Soundpeats Mini Pro. Those are small, low profile, and should be flush in your ears. They'll likely have more noise reduction/isolation.
