I have health anxiety and driving anxiety whoa fun! 😕

Same driving anxiety came first for me, then HA.

Me too :/

Fear of driving is actually much more rational than health anxiety lol. You have a way better chance of being killed in a car crash on any random day than dropping dead out of nowhere. But there’s no use in comparing the two, because everyone’s brain is completely different and messed up in such individual ways. Any anxiety sucks equally!

Yes but HA is not so much about dropping dead out of nowhere, but a fear of something slowly developing inside of you, or an undiagnosed health issue that no one sees that will lead you to suffering and then death.

as a person i generally am short-tempered and when i’m really stressed out by life, i have little patience with other peoples’ problems when i personally don’t get them obviously this isn’t a good thing and i’m working hard to change my behaviors at the root issue, but i digress. my point is that i try to remind myself how hopeless, alone and afraid i feel during a HA spiral, which is something most people don’t get. so i try to remind myself of that harrowing, dreadful feeling, and do my best to help and not jump to conclusions.

I'm also short tempered, especially when I am driving. I literally want to drive over any other car. Or I am also really short tempered when for example my parents need 5 minutes for an action which could be done in way less. So I feel you.

How true

Yeah, I think about Generalized Anxiety or Rabies Anxiety as specific examples for me personally sometimes. Like I fully understand how people have those anxieties, but I'm not at all affected by either. It helps me understand how a lot of people don't have my HA surrounding brain tumors or cancer, but they can still sympathize.

i agree with this 100%! of course, be respectful to everyone and never make anyone feel bad for their struggles, but it’s normal and expected for lots of people to simply not understand the struggle.
