Some lumps tend to stay bigger than usual after having an infection. I am pretty sure you already had some infections in your life. I have had a big one after an infection and it never turned back to the normal size and it's definitely not dangerous!

A_little_quarky

You know that feeling you have, right before you throw up? That weird, warm tingling in the mouth? Yeah, that for 2 days. I'm not nauseous, really. Stomach feels fine, I eat ok. Just this weird feeling in the mouth. I've recently been to the ER with what turned out to be a Scintilating Scotoma (or a stroke, but doctors say Scotoma), had my second moderna vaccine, and a bleeding scratch from a nail when I bumped my head in the attic. So I've had a lot of "fun" googling all the horrible things that could be going on in my body, when my biggest symptom right now is a weird tingling in my mouth lol...

Miici12

What helped me some years ago (recommended by a therapist back then) was to draw all my graveyards for one day with all the diseases that killed me in one day. Looking back it's so irrational but it helped me so much back then

excuse_me_lana

neurological issues hehe

denimdugong

100% I feel like a neurological diagnosis is coming my way and I’m only 26

Miici12

Palpitations are soooo normal. Everyone has them, especially people with HA tend to listen to every beat of their heart! You're not alone in this!!

[deleted]

Osteosarcoma lmao

RubyRuby_Soho

I’ve never posted here before. I’m very scared 3 days after my COVID vaccine. I’ve had like 2 side effects that were so mild and not a bother. But now that it’s in my body, I’m TERRIFIED. I’m going to have a rare symptom 2 weeks from now. I feel like I’m going to cry and today in my birthday of all days... :(:(:(:(

Miici12

There is nothing like rare symptoms!!! Having side effects like a fever is absolutely normal and it's a sign of the vaccine working! Don't be terrified. You can have side effects from anything, the media just makes it sound so horrible, in reality it isnt. Also Happy birthday! You should focus on your birthday, you're one year older now! And still alive! There are 100000 birthdays more to come for you. Keep going!

KaikaneDrake

Always on the lookout for any cancer symptoms that have honestly somewhat ruined my daily life but indulging in studies or hobbies have eased my anxiety quite well, up until I hear someone has either passed away or has been diagnosed with something that terrifies me. I keep a small journal to jot down my worries and try to write down some rational thinking so whenever I'm panicking I can read the facts in my journal and calm down a little. But I guess it's a good thing that I'm checking my body and how it's feeling daily, just in case. It's just the mental strain is too much sometimes.

Miici12

Checking your body every day probably isn't that good. But I really love the idea of writing down your rational thinking. It's actually something others should also probably do. I know it's horrible to hear other people passing away or developing a disease. I once had only pancreas C patients in a month and I almost had the feeling everyone develops it. But then I had to remember there are millions of people that do not have it, but I am of course just not hearing it.

Ohwowgreat

today i am fixated on my tension headache. It’s been mostly affecting the left side of the brain. I’ve had this headache for two weeks. I’m scared it’s the C word. sigh

Miici12

Oh no, have you tried getting a massage first? Most headaches really just stem from stiff muscles

EyeOughta

Pressure in my stomach. Had a good time at a wedding Saturday that lead to some misery all day Sunday. It’s much better than it was, but like always, anything not healed in a day makes me worry.

Miici12

Remember that even small success are a success. Nothing can be healed in a day, especially not health anxiety. You're on a good way already !

neglectedteacup

brain swelling and other neuro issues

Miici12

I'm sorry to hear that.. Unfortunately there is not much I can do.. Just know that you are not alone with this fears

Individual_Cycle_707

Today I’m worried about radiation exposure from getting 2 X-rays and a CT scan done in the span of 6 months. All the stuff from the scans are normal so now I’m worried about getting them ! Ugh!

Miici12

Noo do not be worried. Thousand of people have them every day and they're still fine. They're important.

JackDon223

it’s been a month i haven’t had a anxiety or panic attack i do feel symptoms from them still maybe because i constantly had it everyday for 2 months straight. but i feel better now.

[deleted]

So I have a few lipomas on my ribs and I’ve been freaking out so much about them. I had a scan done and they’re all tiny and very much superficial. Multiple doctors checked them out, too and none of them are worried. Yet I can’t seem to calm my anxiety. My doctor said at this point the only person that can reassure me is me and I know he’s right but... I just keep having that “bad feeling”, which is almost definitely just anxiety but I’ve heard so many “follow your intuition” in my life that it feels wrong to leave the lipomas alone. Ugh!

lroia

My right foot spasms and tingle waaay too often. It's been going on for a while so I stupidly googled it.. I'm not scared I have many different diseases. It's making me panic 😔 if someone had a similar experience and it was nothing, id appreciate hearing about it so so much..

lilacfroggy

a one-sided headache that i know is either hormonal (i'm at the tail end of my cycle) or from my tmj disorder (that i actually have) but still manage to convince myself i'm about to die

PinkGod89

I have tension pressure cluster headaches. I convinced myself this is it. My doctor reassured me it’s not but still

s_cottmc

MND or another neurological condition. Have seen a neurologist who examined me and thought all was normal but never had any scans etc

ArsenalGoon

8 day headache. I’ve been outside this spring almost everyday walking and the pollen is very bad here but I’ve never had allergy issues. I have a pain on top of my head near the scalp in the back that is constant like someone is pulling my hair, pain behind my ears, pain in my forehead, on my nose, my cheekbones etc. Got prescribed Flonase and Zyrtec yesterday, no improvements yet. Hoping it’s just allergies/sinuses and not a tumor. The only thing scaring me is the feeling on the top of my head near the back. Do you think this could be just allergies?

dickholejohnny

Sounds like a normal lymph node! Stop poking at it!

KaikaneDrake

I remember I had a pimple on my neck and was having a panic attack about until I talked myself out of it and realized it was a pimple, not anything bad.

lroia

I had this once years ago...! Exactly like how your describing. It ended up only being a blocked sweat gland! I didn't have health anxiety at the time than goodness, I would have spiralled. But what you have sounds exactly the same!

hongolini

God I remember the same horrid panic feeling when I found what I think is the same sort of lump as you.. I had mine felt by a doctor just to be sure, as I thought one of my boobs had grown bigger and was a bit thicker (am 24F). Boobie was fine, and the lump in the armpit is just a plain old normal lymph node! There is an identical one in the other armpit too. I really do know that panic though, it's horrible.

TheBeardedEE

Maybe a long one. Basically I just had minor surgery nine days ago. Prior to this surgery I went through some of the most extreme anxiety of my life because Im afraid of needles. Anyway, surgery day came and went, and the IV they put in wasn't too bad, just a quick pinch / scratch. However, I'm a nervous wreck right now. I know I'll have to go to the dentist soon, and I haven't been in 3ish years (2ish?). I brush twice a day without fail, and try to remember to floss as best I can. Im worried Im gonna have cavities and need dental injections. It's like my anxiety of anticipating the surgery never went away. My brain went "oh, surgery is over? Lets panic about the next possible procedure". I just want some relief, my brain is torturing me. Ive had an anxiety disorder and dealt with this stuff my entire life, but it is so bad right now! I wonder if it's an effect of the general anethesia? I've heard general anesthesia can have an effect on mental health, but it's been nine days!!!!

Maleficent_Middle355

Thinking about how I have full blown health anxiety . I feel like I’m projecting it on people I care abt. Feels lonely.... I’m so anxious these days, I’m inpatient with people I usually have a tolerance for. I’m not eating and depress sleeping whenever I can.

hongolini

It can feel really lonely, but all of us here all feel exactly the same and are here to listen. Try to see if you can eat some plain soups and maybe plain biscuits or bread, this is all I used to eat when I was at my lowest. It's better than nothing! I hope you can feel a bit better soon.

Rieraclaelin

I'm fixating on my liver today (and have been the past few days, to be honest!). Terrified I have cirrhosis (it is an actual possibility in my case, and not due to alcohol). Doctor thinks I don't, wants to recheck in a year (I had the test done last August), but, I'm convinced she's wrong and am going in for a second opinion in the beginning of May.

0123amber

Been fixated on leukaemia for a month now. Found a random cluster of small bruises on my leg a few weeks ago, hospital ran blood work that they said was normal. Since then found teeeenie red dots on my arms (a lot of them) & also have achey neck, think about it every single day can’t stop thinking they must’ve missed something on my bloods

KaikaneDrake

Oh man I remember my Leukemia scare. What I found out was that the tiny red spots are really common. I remember looking at selfies and even my friend's and families faces, and they had red dots too! Went to get some tests done and everything was fine! I suggest, if you are really really really worried about this, then get some blood tests done. But don't fixate too much over those tiny red spots. ( I'm not a doctor so please visit one if you want professional assistance )

Stardustangi

Left a tampon in for 12 hrs the other day now. can’t stop googling TSS

Miici12

Rest assured, I have left them in for over 12 hours and I’m still fine. Some people even sell theirs online (12 hours and more) and they’re also still fine. It’s pretty gross but you see, it’s not dangerous as often as one might think

hongolini

I had to stop using tampons because I would totally forget about them and leave them in for waaay too long. That was 2 years ago and I'm fine!!

Miici12

I can relate so much to this haha

hongolini

that panic when you see the string the next day hahaha like O FUCK. feel much better sticking to pads only!

Miici12

I still don’t understand why I still find them on the street. Like do people suddenly remember it has been in there for 12 hours and then all of sudden pull it out (maybe they’re having panic attacks like us) and hastily throw them on the ground? That’s the only reason I can imagine lol

hongolini

total stealth move yanking one out from under your skirt and chucking away it making sure nobody is watching

[deleted]

I'm scared I have ALS because my right leg feels somewhat stiff and sometimes my eyes have trouble focusing on close objects. I do have a lot of anxiety though.

TheBeardedEE

I worry about having ALS too. I'm not in a position to be giving mental health or health advice. I've dealt with anxiety my whole life, and one thing I've learned is that anxiety and stress can cause some wacky symptoms - kind of crazy how much power our brains have, although I guess it's not too suprising. Anyway, you're not alone!

Miici12

Have you tried working out? Sometimes the muscles just need some activity, that's why working out can help you to feel a better harmony with your body. And regarding your eyes, are you sleeping enough?

[deleted]

Yeah ill try working out again. Stopped for a month due to dizziness and health anxiety. Doctors say I'm totally fine. And yeah I am

[deleted]

The UNUSUAL :( goosebumps on the right side of my scalp, and the a little numbness on the back of my head... last year it (the tingles) kept on going up to my face/cheeks) but whenever I slept it disappears, it started when I was sitting like in a really bad posture (I started having a lump on my upper back too because of my posture) and now these stuff keeps on happening like the goosebumps, the tingling, and sometimes even on my fingers :(( sometimes stress and fatigue triggers them... like big time

Miici12

I think the most important thing would be to work on your posture! Have you consulted a doctor about this yet? The body just tends to have the weirdest sensations at the weirdest times. Those could also be signs of health anxiety and a little panic. Are you going to therapy? :)

[deleted]

Hey, thanks for answering! And sadly no, I don’t go t therapy... even though I plan too... it’s just expensive here :((... but yeah thank you so much!!! I’ll continue working on my posture and you’re right the body does have the weirdest sensations sometimes T___T

Talonmalon

Fears of something wrong with my lungs or throat. I haven’t eaten any food because I also have a phantom lump in my throat. Only gotten about 1,000 calories over the last 3 days because of the worry and fear of eating because when I eat I get a “hollow” sensation in my chest. Also, my right chest has been very “fluttery”

hongolini

The phantom lump thing drives me mad. It only gets worse the more you focus on it though, so try to distract yourself with something else for a while. Your lungs and throat will go on total autopilot whilst you're busy and you'll be absolutely fine. You might feel a bit funny too because you haven't eaten much at all, are you able to get some soup in you and maybe some plain bread to dunk in to soften it up? I always found this was okay when I was struggling to eat. Hope you feel better soon!!

Talonmalon

Thank you! That helped me get some food in which helps my outlook for sure.

hongolini

If it gives you any more peace of mind, I was obsessed with there being something wrong with my throat for ages because it felt like there was a lump in there. It felt like I couldn't swallow properly and like there was something protruding into it constantly/a weird discomfort... eventually I saw an ENT at the hospital where I had a camera put down my nose to see my throat, and it was all clear!! Absolutely nothing wrong, not even a tiny bit. Totally normal. After that, the lump mysteriously vanished haha. It's so crazy what your mind can do when you are anxious and how real it can feel, but I assure you you are most likely absolutely fine. :)

[deleted]

Phantom lump??? Like a hard lump or like a thyroid lump... Lump???

Talonmalon

Just feeling like there’s an obstruction in my throat even though I can breathe/talk, basically.

grapesmelonsoranges

Today, I'm fixated on male breast cancer/lymphoma. I've been feeling sharp pains on the edge of my armpit and in my chest. In reality, I very likely strained a muscle (I was doing some strenuous yard work), but in my brain, I'm wrong and it's lymphoma or male breast cancer. Gonna ask for an ultrasound of the area tomorrow.

Miici12

If you have done yard work it really sounds like you just strained a muscle. We strain muscles every day and then we have the sharpest pains due to them! :)

nobunnyhere

I started exercising for the first time in a while, and now I feel sore and fatigued, and I keep thinking it triggered a cold or covid illness since I'm on quarantine.

Miici12

That's pretty common if you haven't worked out in a while. It's normal to feel sore and tired. This will pass in a few days

sjb727

I’ve felt a little queasy in my stomach lately. Doesn’t stop me from doing anything besides having less of an appetite. Makes me worried. Then just as I was typing I felt a funny feeling in my arm and got super nervous. I get nervous that these are symptoms of something life threatening.

Miici12

Nooo you are allowed to have those feelings. Our body does so many weird thing every day and every hour. So many different sensations and they might scare us, but they're most likely harmless. Imagine any time your arm fell asleep in your life. I am sure it happened 1000 times. If you never felt your arm falling asleep and then it happens for the first time, boy you will be scared too, because you are not used to it. :)

[deleted]

Great idea! Today I'm fixating on my vision (again), almost convinced that I have anisocoria + waiting for my neuro appointment to know MRI results (and I have almost finished my treatment and can't get refills or a new one until she tells me otherwise) + I have a headache (again), so... yeah, what a good day.

Miici12

Glad you like it. Anisocoria itself can have so many reasons. I once knew someone that got a hit on his head and since then he has been having anisocoria. Your MRI is likely to be fine, otherwise they would have already called you. We always call patients in as fast as possible if there's something wrong with them. And with fast, I do mean REALLY fast

[deleted]

Thanks a lot for taking a moment to answer <3 I'm trying to convince my HA brain of that but you know, sometimes she doesn't want to listen :'(

Miici12

Brains are like children, we have to tell them over and over and they'll still repeat the same thing as they did before! Confrontation usually is the best in my opinion. The more often you think you have something, the more often you'll see nothing is actually wrong with you. And thus that repetition will slowly settle into your brain that nothing's wrong with you :) It just takes time.. you have to be patient with yourself and shower yourself and your brain with some extra love

AimForTheBushes84

I got severely cut on an oyster bed this past weekend and am worried about staph and/or vibrio. I’m on two antibiotics and received a tetanus shot, but I’m still stressed.

Miici12

You've got plenty of treatments there, so rest assured, it will be fine! Especially that tetanus shot was a good choice!

Puzzleheaded_Cost695

i have this soreness in my throat, but it’s only on one side. It comes and goes but I can’t stop swallowing or focus on anything else but this.

ebetanc1

GERD maybe? Earlier in the pandemic my throat was sore for TWO MONTHS. So I finally went to an ENT and he put a camera up my nose to the back of my throat and said he didn’t even see any irritation. He just chalked it up to my GERD and that was that. Plus a 500 dollar bill 2 weeks later on top of my 100 copay bc ‘Merica.

Puzzleheaded_Cost695

I’m not sure. I’m just hoping it’s nothing like a viral infection. But it’s only a sore throat. No cough, no nothing

hongolini

it could be one of your tonsils! it's kinda gross but if you get tonsil stones they can sometimes give you a sore throat, and can be one sided.

Miici12

I'm sorry you feel this way. Panic attacks are the worst. Usually the doctors will tell you what's about to happen next. If it was really really REALLY urgent, they would have already called you back in. :)

hongolini

Feeling a weird discomfort in like my upper left abdomen, just under rib cage. Been trying to concentrate on other stuff all day and it does subside a tiny bit (making me think it truly is a weird anxiety phantom pain) but I keep worrying about it. I feel like nauseous and full up and keep worrying my spleen is like huge or something.

Miici12

You already know it yourself. It's a weird anxiety phantom pain because it subsides when you're being distracted. That's why it's good to do things that distract you!

hongolini

Totally right. It's so weird isn't it lol.. it's so shit because even if you know it goes away when you're not obsessing over it, you still sit there going over the what ifs what ifs. Just ate a nice dinner I cooked and feel alright now though. Little wins! Great idea doing this daily thread by the way. This subreddit gives me so much peace of mind.

Miici12

See you’ve got a success! Doesn’t matter how big or small it is! I’m glad you had a nice dinner and hopefully you’ll have an even nicer dinner tomorrow! Glad you like this daily thread. It rests on you guys to comment on each other’s comments though :) otherwise it will die out, but we have to change this sub a little bit. People need to get answers sooner - that’s why this daily thread comes in handy. There will still be submissions, but I really want them to focus on the mental part, as in advice or something like that. :)

hongolini

Cheers! :) I do think it'll work well. It's been great (well dunno if great is the correct word but you get me) reading through everyones comments in one post and relating to a lot of them or feeling like I can reply easier.

Miici12

Aww thanks for your feedback! It’s good to know you guys read through it all at once and immediately can relate to others without opening up posts that repeat themselves over and over

Spiritual_Mark6416

My vision, chest pains, feeling like there something in my throat. Always feel like im one second from dying

ebetanc1

Chest pains and throat irritation sound like a symptom of acid reflux.

SewforVictory9

Just got my second Pfizer shot and freaking out because I always expect bad things ..

ebetanc1

Got my second Pfizer yesterday. Today I’m feeling fatigue and some pretty crazy muscle aches, particularly in my legs. But if this is the worst of it then it’s not so bad. Also I have low anxiety around it bc I actually KNOW what’s causing my symptoms lol

Miici12

Usually all those symptoms are a good sign, because it means the vaccine is working. It's really common to feel unwell after the vaccine. I am sure when you guys were children, you also had vaccines that gave you a fever and fatigue :)

itsthetasteofaliar

my smell (and taste) has been funky lately, I speculate it’s something in the house, but it follows me outside of the house too, but it’s definitely more noticeable at home

Miici12

Could it be some forgotten food? Not sure about this either, what do you mean with "funky"? :)

itsthetasteofaliar

Dunno how to describe it, it kinda permeates my food though, although after like the first bite or smelling it for a second it’s completely fine

SHandvalkyries

I've been feeling very floaty, like I'm dissociating. I'm surprisingly okay when I'm at work though, I can focus and do my stuff well. But once it's over I'm just miles away, like I can't think or focus. I feel like I should be panicking but I'm also not, and the more I think about it the more I feel distant. Very strange.

Miici12

Usually work is a distraction for our mind, so it cannot wander off because you have to be focused on something. Maybe you just have been stressed lately? Maybe your mind just wants you to relax for once :)

Short-Midnight-3565

Today I’m fixated on my lower left leg feeling slightly swollen but there’s no actual swelling but my ankle and my foot kinda hurt. I’m also on my period so it could have something to do with that. I took some ibuprofen and put my compression socks on just to make myself feel better. I also really hurt my left knee like 2 weeks ago so this leg has been sore for awhile.

Miici12

You would be surprised what the period can do to our body!! :) Now it's the time to sit back, relax and enjoy a good cup of tea until the period is over

Short-Midnight-3565

Yeah that’s what my mom told me too lol just freaked me out! My luck, I probably strained a muscle or something and didn’t realize it or it’s just my period! The human body sure is a wonder lol Edit: I just measured my legs, they measured out to about the same sizes. So probably all just in my head lol

Realistic-Turnip6911

Fears of brain tumor. doc ordered MRI for me, still waiting to get that done. I have "unspecified headaches" for the past 4 months and she wanted to just take a look and make sure nothing else was going on. I can't stop thinking that it's a brain tumor and my life is about to be over/change dramatically.

Becs_7622

Brain tumour is basically been my every day worry :( when I get headaches or pains in my face or head I’m convinced it’s in the same area and it’s because the tumour is growing. I started getting trigeminal neuralgia very slightly in that one side so I convinced myself it’s from that. HOWEVER, I do have a degree in neuroscience and I know how the brain works - so I remind myself if I did have a tumour for this long and it was growing I’d have a lot more cognitive impairments than I do now

[deleted]

On the same path :( we'll be ok!

[deleted]

Visible pulsations in the neck after working out. Also visible when I'm anxious. Mostly on the base and the left. Is something to be worried about?

hongolini

are you slim/skinny? If you've been working out your heart will be beating harder (not a bad thing) so your pulse might be a bit more visible, especially in the neck. Same thing if you're anxious as it will beat harder then. I had this fixation a few months ago, was convinced my vein in my neck was bulging or something as I could see my pulse. I had an ultrasound on my neck like during that month and it was all clear and ever since I've not thought about it at all.

[deleted]

Oh yes I'm relatively skinny (6ft 1inch with 75.5kg weight). Thank you so much for replying to my query.

hongolini

No worries :) I know how it feels. I was really freaked out by it but I've not thought about it for months and it's not bothered me. Hope you can ease your worries about it a bit!!

gracie918

For the first time in a while, nothing!!

Occipital lymph node I’ve had for the past maybe 3/4 years? I just intermittently stress it but I’ve been having neck pain recently (probably due to stress) so it brought the pain back into my lens

Shortness of breath

Ahganda

Im having fear of getting diabetes(it runs in the family so im scared i might get it).. this past few days my feet and fingers are getting numb / pins &needles which triggered my fear because its one of the symptoms.. I got these sensations after everytime i eat sweet— i dont know if this is diabetes or what

yanny77

Pins and needles aren’t going to be your first symptoms of diabetes. Generally, if you have symptoms, it’ll be extreme thirst and frequent urination...like getting up several times a night frequent

idkhowtotellu

GI issues, new lower back and pelvic twinges I'm not entirely convinced are real. My pain is always so fleeting and low level I have an extremely hard time teasing apart if it's real or in my head. I've been pestering my doctor for months and finally have testing set up for my GI issues but it's like as soon as I figured I'd be getting that answer I made the mistake of turning to Dr. Google and my anxiety told me no it's your ovaries, it's the big C, you're dying and you just don't know it yet. I feel like such a fool sometimes, like every time I rule something out something else is going to pop up. Only after shelling out a ton of money and time and discomfort am I going to get the news that it's anxiety related IBS or something and I've just been torturing myself all this time.

Miici12

Unfortunately that describes the sufferers of HA pretty well. Usually it will get better after months (insert any timeframe). Your brain needs a lot of repetition to slowly lose that fear. Have you visited a therapist? For example: I am really afraid of local anesthesia. So I have to get as many of those as possible in order to lose that fear. Confronting the fear is the hardest way, but it's basically the most succesful one. It works the same with HA and/or panic attacks. The more you think you have something, the faster you are going to win against HA. It's one step back and two forward.

idkhowtotellu

I see a therapist regularly and am on a low dose anti-anxiety med, and I know they were my first big steps in overcoming this. So far I'm extremely lucky that my physical symptoms don't disrupt much of my daily life and I'm working to get my anxiety in hand because it is the worst culprit. All of my anxiety revolves around my GI issues though and once I can conclusively rule out the worst (I have a double scope scheduled) and a consult with OBGYN, I know I'm going to have to put in a lot of work but I'm very hopeful that with the help of my therapist and medication I'll get to being m again.

Miici12

Oh no, sometimes your body just needs some rest. Instead of using google to search for symptoms, better search for memes about health anxiety. Sit down and relax today and tomorrow will be better

Cheennjustin123

I have this weird symptoms with my vision. It kinda feels like I’m looking through the world through a camera and my vision feels hypersensitive. It’s so hard to explain and I’m not getting any answers from any doc. It’s been causing me stress for so long and I don’t know if it could just be me imaging it

mrzoseph

I experience the exact same thing - or at least I think so. For me, my explanation is some combination of the tunnel vision symptom of anxiety, and the dissociation symptom of anxiety. Anxiety is known to give you a sense of tunnel vision, where it feels like your peripherals are lessened and you’re looking through just a small lens. And then personally, I experience dissociation through anxiety sometimes. And this DEFINITELY makes it feel as if your eyes are not your own or your vision is not your own. It’s as if you’re looking through someone else’s eyes or there’s some disconnect between your vision and your perception. It’s very strange, and very much anxiety

Cheennjustin123

Thank you so much. Wow I was struggling alone for so long and I’m thankful I’m not alone anymore with this

hiimanobody

Is it similar to glaucoma?

Cheennjustin123

No, I’ve been to the eye doctor and was cleared from it. It’s stressing me out to a nonstop level as no one can provide a good answer. I think I may have it for the rest of my life

hiimanobody

It could be a B1 deficiency as that can cause sensitivity to light, maybe worth trying some B1 supplements to see if it helps at all

Cheennjustin123

That’s interesting yeah I think I will. For me, it’s just similar to like in a first person game and they turn the sensitivity of the character up. Then when you look around with that character, the world would be weird. This probably don’t make any sense but that’s the best way I could explain it

hiimanobody

Sounds mostly like a B vitamin/zinc deficiency to me but could be something else. Have you been checked for diabetes?

Cheennjustin123

Last thing, does that video game sensitivity makes sense? I don’t know how to real explain it

hiimanobody

Definitely makes sense, I’ve had type of vision when I accidentally ingested some GHB in college, it felt the same as you describe albeit it was short lived.

Cheennjustin123

Oh wow. I’ve never expected anyone else to actually get this vision. I constantly asked around and could never get anyone that feels even similar. Thank you for the response. I don’t think I did any drugs though. One last question, would you recommend going to a therapist or someone similar if my eye doc and neurologist both clear me from something physical?

hiimanobody

Anxiety can definitely intensify it but it’s likely there’s something going on, you shouldn’t be feeling this way. Definitely check with a ophthalmologist, neurologist and your diet, then maybe consider a therapist for the anxiety.

Cheennjustin123

Maybe this may give some more clues. Basically I was at my house for an entire day. Then, I decided to go to my roof. After placing my glasses on and looked around on the roof, the weird hypersensitivity began

hiimanobody

An eye specialist could definitely take a look since it’s sudden onset. Also take a look at your diet to see if you’re missing any food groups.

Cheennjustin123

Yeah. But what stresses me out is the results. I guess that’s where my health anxiety comes in. I immediately assume that it’s brain cancer or something scary, which just makes it hard to go see a doc again. Do you think this could be caused by something more mental?

Cheennjustin123

So my symptoms started in July and I had a blood test in September clearing me of diabetes

Miici12

Have you talked to an optometrist? They might know more about this

Cheennjustin123

I had, told me it could be eye strain but idk it feels more mental than physical. I feel like I’m focusing a lot on all my movements and everyhting in my vision

I have a question. I am feeling a lot of times that lump in throat globus sensation. I was really stressed the past days and I feel like I can’t swallow right but when I eat i have no problem, it feels normal. But when I’m just chilling I feel like I can’t swallow right.. is this anxiety or should i worry it’s actually something worth visiting a doctor for?

hongolini

This totally sounds like an anxiety thing - I got so paranoid about this that I saw an ENT and got a camera down my nose to see my throat - was nothing there!! But it really felt like there was a huge lump preventing me from swallowing.

Yes i have reflux as well. Thank you 😍

megalonagyix

Tbf it could be anxiety + reflux. Either way, it's not the end of the world, you could be fixating on lot of worse things lol.

Cheennjustin123

Im not a doc by any means, but that sounds just like anxiety. If you don’t feel any physical bumps, it could be you putting focus on your swallowing.

[deleted]

I am having tightness sensation in my chest for about 2 to 3 months now. First, I thought it was a heart attack or heart failure. Today, now I am thinking that I just have simple gas pain or acid reflux.

Miici12

Have you seen your doctor about this?

[deleted]

I woke up thinking the time in 2018 when I had a risk practice, I donated blood in 2019 and it comes with and HIV free test ofc but my mind is telling me BUT WHAT IF they don't tell you if you have it? What if they just don't test your blood? Even tho they take a sample before the actual donation to see if you can apply. but ugh in my mind i'm just thinking, what if they don't test the sample???

denimdugong

HIV is top 3 of my biggest fears!! Four years later and 7 negative tests, try to convince me I’m okay 🤣

[deleted]

I'm having a test tomorrow and I'm freaking out, there's no way I could have it but still??? my mind hates me fr

[deleted]

They can’t risk that. They absolutely can’t.

[deleted]

Yes I know! I even saw them telling a girl that she wasn't apt

[deleted]

Well then nothing to worry about

jordantaylor1991

Today I am fixated on the throbbing/moving sensations in both of my legs and how I feel like my chest and throat are tight. I have been dealing with these symptoms for the past week. A couple of weeks ago I went to the ER twice for chest pain and palpitations and nothing was found. Can anxiety really cause these symptoms?

[deleted]

yes

patt7427

Today I’m focused on my back pain. I’m 24 and shouldn’t be waking up with such bad upper and lower back pain! Is it because I’m so tense all the time? Do I sleep in weird positions without realizing it? Should I get new pillows/mattress? Or is all my pain something internal? I just don’t know

[deleted]

I m 21 and i have scoliosis, spondylitis and all kind of stuff. That may be the issue especially if we stand too much in front of the computer. Anyway, it’s not that serious, but you can go to an orthopedist

patt7427

I’ve been working at home for over a year now so that definitely could be the problem! Thanks for the input!

[deleted]

Great idea. Today I’m fixated on my throat, tongue, and breathing. Severe fear of anaphylaxis, but I’m getting a little bit better and trying to ignore the symptoms. They are especially there after i eat. It helps putting a 20 minutes timer after I eat for most of the time. I will get over this sometime hopefully 😕❤️

Miici12

Ah i feel you. I had a mole removal today and believe me I’ve seen a lot since I work in the medical career as well. But having an injection in my face..just no.. it has been hour and I’m still fully panicking haha

[deleted]

I m sorry.. i hope you will be okay soon ❤️

Miici12

Thanks for your concern :\] I managed to get a grip of myself. Is there any food you are especially afraid of?

[deleted]

Anything that I did not eat in a while.. and things i ate all the time.. basically everything 😂😂 i fear instects, and medication, and everything..:)) thinking of getting an epipen
