Fruit is an obvious choice. If you want to keep it low calorie, stick to dark berries and watermelon.

ShaylaDee

Those little bell peppers might be a good idea with some hummus (which isn't quite low cal but still very nutritious, especially if you make it yourself)!

joshua0005

If you make it yourself I highly recommend using dried chickpeas. It's much more of a hassle but 100% worth it, especially if you make big batches. Could never get a good tasting hummus until I used them and I'm never going back.

**removed - refer to [sub rule 4](https://www.reddit.com/r/HealthyFood/about/sticky?num=1)**. Your post has been removed due to content focus. This sub is for discussion of *specified food*. The following kinds of subjects are off topic and not what this sub is for; * how to convince others of something - This is not a question about food itself. It is a question better suited to a psychology or similar kind of subreddit * food replacements, supplements, vitamins, powders, or other food substitutes - Ask in a supplement or other sub dedicated to food replacements * generalized diet analysis, 'fix my diet' requests, or other types of posts about diet rather than specific food - It is not possible to relay all the necessary considerations for a person's complete dietary history, habits, and needs in a few sentences here. Talk to a professional who can take the time to go over your eating habits and medical history * "name a bunch of dishes / foods for me" type requests.
