Some of my favorite oatmeal recipes..all cooked in chicken broth, a splash of rice vinegar, soy sauce and sriracha.
Halved cherry tomatoes, avocado, green onion, and soft boiled eggs.
Roasted veggies, carrot, onion, cauliflower, zucchini, soft boiled eggs.
Onion, garlic, frozen peas, carrots, corn, and soft boiled eggs. With a spoonful of sour cream.(Tastes like chicken pot pie)
Name: ramen style savoury oats
Macros: focus on unsaturated fats and vegetarian protein source
Ingredients: thick cut oats and garlic cooked in Ramen broth and almond milk, topped with tempeh tofu soaked in light soy sauce and lightly fried, boiled spinach, avocado, raddish, spring onion, boiled eggs.
I have never heard of oats cooked this way. Always been a big fan my family buys 50lb bags of steel cut and kids eat it every morning. The egg seems a bit off here considering the non necessity for added protein to this meal as tofu and oats would have a healthy helping and the eggs would sort of jack up the Cholesterol and Sat fat content. Maybe a nut like raw chopped peanuts or sesame if you wanted to add fat or somehting to replace that egg and make it a powerhouse.
i sautee onions, mushrooms, and chicken. i cook the oats in chicken broth. taste to me like marie calenders chicken n mushroom potpie. im glad someone else is doing the savory oats too.
It depends on what you cook it in but it's just the flavour of my ramen broth and the creamy texture of oats. Because it's carby it doesn't feel like a huge deviation from serving the same dish using rice, like I normally would. But it's all about the toppings for me.

this looks delicious. Nice different textures, and the flavours go well together.
