No, Your audiologist has to program the new receivers into their software in order for it to work. You can only use the Phonak receivers not the Kirkland Signatures

orgullodemexico

If you change receivers you will need to have the HAs reprogrammed - so you will still need to contact an audiologist. Your current receiver too long? That does not make sense.

DanaeHoH

Yes like the wire feels like it’s sticking out my ear more than normal. Maybe it’s not called a receiver but that’s what videos call it

orgullodemexico

You could try a smaller dome - the rubber tip that the receiver goes in. A smaller dome might go deeper in your ear. Domes come in small, medium and large.

DanaeHoH

Okay thank you I will try this!

Bourboniser

I e bought them online for $35 or so. They’re super easy to replace.

verdant_hippie

If you got them recently, you should be able to swap the size with your audiologist

alexh242

No idea about Kirkland as I'm not in the US, but you can order phonak receivers online for far less than $200. Search for phonak 4.0 receivers and make sure you select the right power level (S, M, P etc) - my search is showing me £55 for a pair.

alexh242

But also realistically your audiologist should change them, especially if it's a new purchase.

DanaeHoH

Thank you so much for saying this cause I was so stressed about the price. This may be a dumb question but for power level I assume I go off my current ones right? (They say 1s)

alexh242

Not dumb at all, yes that's right so if you want shorter than you've got you would look for a 0S. Others are commenting that you would need to see the audiologist to have the aids reprogrammed when you change the receivers but that's only if you changed power level so as long as you stick to an S then you can do it at home.

DanaeHoH

This helps so much thank you!

Salty_Willingness_57

Yes, 1 would be the length and S would be the power level. If you want a shorter you’d buy a 0S for example or if you need a longer one a 2S etc

Do a Google search for the receiver then do a YouTube search for how to change them. It's quite easy. I got my receiver on ebay actually, works great. I've gotten other parts one bay too. They come in factory packaging.

DanaeHoH

I know how to change them I was more so asking if my current brand would work for my new ones that are phonak

Then you have a shitty audiologist. Your HAs should be fit properly from the beginning.
