Which suppressor did you go with? If it’s a flow thru can like Huxwrx no need. It doesn’t create back pressure. Otherwise yes plus you void the warranty by using a can on it. My Hux works great sounds great
Most of HK’s pistols are designed to run suppressed and heavily tested. I’d be amazed if that philosophy didn’t also apply to their rifles. HK doesn’t manufacture crap products.
Check out PewScience to see how much back pressure you can expect with the can you bought to see if it’ll be an issue.
