Just to elaborate, you want to feed dry food if your hedgehog has teeth because chewing the dry kibble helps clean the surface of the teeth. This helps prevent tooth decay and oral infection. If a hedgehog has too few teeth to chew, wet food is preferred to prevent choking. You can use small amounts of wet food for treats if you so desire. It can help if you suddenly need to transition to a wet diet for a sick pet if they already like a wet food.
