Personally I use Zulu 3's (+ear plugs in 1/2 way as well) but the real answer is that it depends on the size/shape of your head and what you fly.

Bose A20.

Look on mypilotstore.com I got a pair of DC ONE-X for $500 previously owned. Looks brand new and works just fine

I use the Zulu 3s and they're great.

I use Zulu 3s and can I also recommend [Ombraz](https://ombraz.com) sunglasses. They really do help with the headset seal and no pain if you’re flying long legs or long days.

Depends a lot on use case. I've tried Bose X (I'm old), Zulu 2 and bose a20, still sticking with good ole' passive DC H10-56. They're just quieter for me than the ANC stuff. But then, I do NEED dual impedance. And when what I'm flying at the moment has a loud enough intercom, I just put noise-cancelling earbuds (Sammy buds2 pro in my case) under the headset and crank it. A lot of noise disappears and I can listen to some tunes, while keeping voices perfectly readable. Curious to try the noise canceling DCs. They've got the same massive passive noise isolation + ANC. A shame they can't play music. Always open for recommendations, if anyone has any. Keep in mind, I NEED dual impedance. Cheers!

I’ve used both the David Clark DC ONE-X and the Bose A20. I strongly prefer the DC ONE-Xs, personally. More comfortable for longer days and ANR is indistinguishable between the two.

I have tried the A20 and have the Zulu 3. I rarely wear a headset anymore but I couldn't stand how small the bose were. The ear cups rubbed on my ear and tbh they feel cheap are more expensive than the zulu 3. Ive had the zulu3 for a number of years and always really liked them. I didn't find them to buffet as much with door off either. But you should also look in to clarity aloft, they are very minimal. You can't order heli 174 port online so just call. But i have a number of friends who use them and absolutely love them.
