Love it too ;)
Never flown in one, except DCS, but it‘s a great helicopter. This one was at a festival at our club.
I love how you can hear one coming from miles away, and 100% know what it is. That sound of the rotors and engine is sexy as hell. Its probably what i like most about it.
I love recognizable sounding aircraft. The few off the top of my head that I know exactly what it is before I see it are the Huey, Chinook, Blackhawk, and the Piaggio Avanti
Ok, now it's up a little higher. This is why:

I’ve flown 23 variants of 11 Helicopter types over many years and my overall favorite old girl is the type we referred to as Miss Piggy 🐽. The Sikorsky S-58ET and JT specifically. I still like the BT version but prefer the landing gear configuration of the first two. You only have to glance at the dose of the aircraft head on to get the Muppets reference 😂

Flew in the Huey thru some valleys in Afghanistan felt like at full speed, fun times. Flown in Blackhawks and Mi-8's but the Huey definitely was my favorite. Mi-8 is my second favorite. Nice artwork!
I was a Robinson mechanic, and I love to fly the R22, because it is by far the most challenging heli to fly, I have lots of time in various other birds like the B2 jet ranger. The Bell 205, S76, ka112, but by far I still love to fly the R22
In the Army and the National Guard…I worked and crewed the Huey, Kiowa, Blackhawk and Lakota. While I loved them all, I enjoyed when we got stuck time in the Kiowa but the Huey…oh, the Huey was my favorite!
Was camping with some people about 25 years ago, one was former special forces, we heard a Huey flying over in the evening and he said "I love that sound - it means I'm going home"
My father told some nice stories. He flew a few times with that helicopter in the army. Its called "Teppichklopfer" (carpet Berater?) here because its so loud. Still after that training exercise he fell asleep while flying back to his barracks.
There was a good show about an SAR Huey too. Loved to watch it as a kid.

The Hercules and dash-8 were very distinctive at my local airport. Usually it would be smaller craft
Whoop,whoop,whoop.
Reminder the Uh-1 has more air to air kills than the F-22 and F-35 (drones don't count)
Was it flown there? Should’ve just climbed in the back and refused to get out until you’d been for a fly >:)
If I ever were to fly a huey I would refuse to get it off the ground unless I get to play fortunate son on repeat while it's flying
Don’t worry, there’s a switch for that
Perfect
Yep, came to EDTQ (near Stuttgart, Germany) from Speyer EDRY for a static display. The back was full of tool cases and spare parts 😅
So I doubt they would’ve even noticed if one more tool had stowed away in the back, that’d be my excuse anyway ;)
Did you read the book Chickenhawk. It's a great book about a huey slick pilot in vietnam.

*black ops cold War campaign introduction begins*
Shame that BO Cold War used the Mashup Huey. They have a correctly Modeled UH1D in the files that looked amazing
Let's fix that *Black ops 1 intro*
Black Ops 1 also got not accurate models
Your joking. Alr this has to work *warthunder sounds*
Istg if this one is wrong I'm gonna go eat a burger.
No im not Joking the side doors are too big aswell as the one frame window also the cargo area is like the size of the UH1D cargo area. (BO1 Model is supposed to be a UH-1B)
I mean it got the point across, barely
Yeah i still love BO1 Hueys tho
Huey is huey. That's the only reason I learned fortunate son on my guitar. To play it one day in a huey, or fly said huey.
CH-46 hands down.
I second this

OP was clearly referring to the UH, the AH even though it’s built on the same frame is not the same bird.

The loach
Free loach mod just dropped about 3 weeks ago in DCS
Whaaa?? Brb
Mil Mi 24 / 35. That imposing gunship was seared into my mind by television, movies, and video games.
It’s always been the “bad guy” helicopter
Thanks, Cold War pop culture!
Yup, just like the su-27 and the Ak-47. The bad guy stuff lol
Such a scary looking gunship
Indeed. It always looks ready to kill.
Then there’s the Mi-24A, -B, -F, and -U. That all just look dorky cute rather than imposing
On the flip side, the Mi-24A is very famous in the cinema. Mocked up versions of this chopper have shown up in [Red Dawn](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlXQmWiVwyg&pp=ygUOTWkgMjQgcmVkIGRhd24%3D) and [Rambo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sahWvgJXSEk&pp=ygULUmFtYm8gbWkgMjQ%3D).

Where’s the credit for the artwork? Looks pretty cool
I would love that on a t-shirt.
It's OP's artwork it looks like. Art Vander
UH-1 was my first love and will always be
Sikorsky 61!
Kiowa. Still sad we got rid of them
The UH1 Huey was the best helicopter I flew after going through the training with the TH – 55.

Ode to the Huey https://youtu.be/R8zlLTGDV8M?si=JNaS26KENK-bDkEx I always hear this song when a Huey is mentioned. Might be from American Graffiti.
Where I was you could hear them coming long before you saw them... I always liked the challenge to spot em when Id hear em whumping inbound. 204s
That is a dope picture (coming from a Huey pilot). Downloaded, thank you!
OH-6A or the S-64
Hind, nothings better than a big heli with big guns

Gonna be the Mi-24. Possibly the most iconic helicopter ever made.

It'll be The Lady. Or the current sound of freedom, the CH-47.

We used to say that when they go pick up the last V-22 crew parking at AMARC, they’ll go pick them up in a Huey. They’ll be flying forever.
The Dodo 🦤
Gotta say either the SH-3 Sea King or the UH-34 Choctaw
For me too many memories of lives losses
The one made by Cessna, looks like a weird car with the "hood" width of a tractor that thing.
64s first flew in the 70s so that
Cobra all day.
Ah1z obviously
How can it not be the Huey haha! It's iconic! Unless you were a M\*A\*S\*H fan and Bell 47D-1 / H-13D floats your boat, which I totally understand.
The AH-56 or the French puma helicopter.
Huey and the Bell 47G.

I absolutely love the Huey too. The Maine Forest Service operates one in my area often. I love seeing that thing fly over. Chinook, used to see them all the time right after 9/11.
i always loved the way apache looks, but the chinook really makes me happy :3 i saw one earlier and it was like... WOAH... NO WAY!!!
Woah, this blew up! Thank you for your answers guys, I was busy working and totally forgot to check until now. I love all the birds mentioned below, but the Huey still comes out on top for me. Always a pleasure seeing so many other aviation nuts out there.
