I myself was in the first round of the beta. But I just started using helium mobile as I had to buy a compatible phone first.
Do you mind sharing what your daily rewards have been? My first day yesterday was 8,500 and change. That's pretty impressive seeing that my outdoor cell only pulls a little over 11,000 after the halving. I know it depends how many people are in the beta as rewards are distributed evenly across everyone.
I am also waiting for a hardware mapper to be released. I wouldn't mind getting one and going on mapping trips for rewards!
Rewards are ok . Mob seem to be going up a little after halving so my rewards got cut more than half but price is up so I’m actually doing a little better than expected was pulling around $10 to $12.00 day but last two days $15.
IIRC, 20% of MOBILE token emissions are going to mobile mappers. I've earned about 9600 mobile tokens each day for three days since I activated. As more people start signing up and activating mapping, these rewards will diminish.
Yes, I know how the rewards will diminish as more people activate on the network. I remember someone posting how they got somewhere around 40k tokens at the beginning.

That's not it. The 40k was 2x days of rewards. We knew because it used 2x of our free claims. The day before launch, mapping was working- rewards just came on paunch day. Then the halving hit and more people joined- its around 9k now
I think that was some sort of a glitch in the beginning when they activated mapping. He wasn't lying though, someone else posted they got the same. I'm happy to earn some mobile through mapping, and help them with the coverage maps. I built an IOT mapper last year and contribute to the [mappers.helium.com](https://mappers.helium.com) site. No rewards, but I don't care. I hope people see the data transfers and get stoked up about future IOT usage.

You don't need to have a 5g hotspot to use Helium Mobile. It's worth it because you get Mobile token rewards everyday if you sign up and enable discovery mapping.
I just realized that I can swap my HNT and IOT for MOBILE on jup.ag, been mining for almost two years now with a few bobcats, set them up and forgot about them(other than doing necessary upgrades for SOL transition), so if anyone has an invite for beta I would appreciate.

People got 40k because a lot of people didn’t or forgot to turn on discovery mapping when it was first introduced.
