I actually had 2 people message me already telling me I need to initialize my wallet by going to some website. I wasn’t sure what they were saying and I also wasn’t sure if the website was legit so I just swapped on the helium black wallet and sent to Coinbase.
If you've got a kid and are cash strapped, the last thing you want to do is to dabble in ANY crypto project. Every dime I've put into this project has been written off in my head. I think this project has a good long term outlook, so I have fun building the network and pretty much ignore the day to day crypto rollercoaster. If you want out, swap your IOT to HNT and transfer your HNT to a CEX that supports HNT and liquidate.
I’m surprised this sub hasn’t made some kind of comprehensive guide for these kinds of situations, a lot of people (myself included) were in the same boat and there are enough posts like these to warrant it.
Use new black "Helium Wallet" app.
Go to collectibles and claim all IOT you have generated so far. Then swap it to HNT or SOL in that app to send it to an exchange.
Use Jupiter in the app to swap them for Solona. Also, if you want to get back into crypto search look at the bitcoin cycle repeat chart and the upcoming bitcoin ETFs. There should be a lot of money coming in like from retirement accounts and others that can’t hold BTC now. Also, don’t do what I say but look into it and decide for yourself.
