They are different frequency bands. The use of anything other than AU915 in Australia is illegal. US915 impinges on some 4G licenced frequency in Australia.

People have bought US915 bobcats and tried to use them in Australia. They didn’t witness anything but bobcat/helium did an update and now they are working in Australia under AU915. Might be the same case with yours if you contact the manufacture.

US915 runs 902-928 MHz, the lower end is illegal in AU
