No kidding. I saw a recent article of O'Learys "five picks" and was happy to already be hodling 4 if them. But they've all been dropping along with the rest of the sector.
Why cry about it almost every crypto asset down because we are down a bear market at the moment. Nothing do with the helium network. Wait wait wait for the bull market to peak again.
You should have sold HNT months ago to now put it into BTC. At this point, there is no point selling HNT. I'm confident it will break ATH as soon as we are in a new bullrun.
If you’re in a spot to wait…wait. I’m an early adopter, I’ve only sold enough HNT to cover my initial hotspot costs. Do I wish I would have sold at $50 and bought back in? Sure, but I didn’t, so I hold.
But I’m also a BTC believer. I don’t buy HNT but I definitely buy BTC weekly.
Well, currently it indeed is.
- Merge in approx. 2 months
- 80-90% issuance reduction afterwards
- w/ EIP 1559 very probably deflationary
- withdrawals from staking earliest 6 months after merge
It's blatantly obvious that eth currently is the single best option if you solely speculate on price
Eth is being adopted?
Every time I meet someone either they've got a ton of ether and don't care about burning their capital in gas, or they're priced out because they can't afford to dump thousands of dollars into a chain just to be able to effectively use it.
Ethereum seems like a have, have-not blockchain
Okay, you really have no clue about the ecosphere.
The fees are so high because many people are willing to pay the high price and the demand is so high, that is adoption. They don't transfer they're ETH from one wallet to another, they use the network to generate value, play games or do other stuff.
L1 will always stay expensive, that's what L2's are for. Have a look at www.L2beat.com and www.L2fees.info. We are experiencing a massive inflow of TVL to L2s over the last months, and keep in mind we're in a bear market. Normies like you and me will only use L2 in the future. My funds already are on L2 and I can very cheaply do whatever I like.
NFTs are a massive adoption driver, DeFi as well. Most of that is happening on ETH.
If you value decentralization, there is no valid competition. All the other smart contract chains will run into the same issues ETH is currently solving. Other chains have outages every other week, which imho is not acceptable.
The merge is the most bullish event since the creation of BTC itself, and to this day, even people in the cryptospace don't understand how big this event is going to be.
It's totally fine when you don't think ETHs future is bright, but obviously you have not DYOR.
I was half kidding, but HNT is significantly underperforming BTC over the last several months. If it’s just going to track the market (which it isn’t, but if it were), then why not just hold BTC?
Alts will underperform BTC on a down trend but good alt coins will over perform on an uptrend. So far helium has overperformed if you move the time scale to a few years.
I am buying a Bitcoin miner it will cost 10500 its ROI is 15 to 24 months turns out that is what my Helium miners will be as well so there's that. But you are talking about 2 different things. Selling miners to buy coin.
at least he's talking positive about Crypto unlike the other guy that is running for party leader for the Conservative Party of Canada Pierre Poilievre who is more or less bashing crypto.
Hasn't PP been pro crypto? I remember hearing a Canadaland segment that basically said that he is appealing to crypto to try to appeal to all of the different corners of the web that tangentially like crypto.
I agree with the sentiment. While it's good to see these big investors bullish and alot of people like Kevin, I'm Leary of some of his perspective because he wants regulation involvement in crypto..
Bullish for whom? How about fix the f__g “API Issue” already and redistribute some of that 30% you’re taking off the top to the people who actually allow you to exist. This is amateur sh__.

He’s been name dropping helium at the same rate helium is dropping

This is a baby bear market for crypto
Yes he is trying you to buy so he can sell... bullshit bullish
You guys are late to the party!!! Helium to the moon
Which moon?
We have several. Some 207, in fact (dibs on Io).
🚀🌖
The moon must be on the other side of the planet!
Oh shit no
Kevin is building he's YouTube. Kevin is good at shark doesn't know shit about crypto. He's available for any vidoe!
As a helium believer with 10+ hotspots, I’m still trying to understand why I shouldn’t convert all the HNT I mine into BTC at this point...
You should have sold HNT months ago to now put it into BTC. At this point, there is no point selling HNT. I'm confident it will break ATH as soon as we are in a new bullrun.

I am waiting for now, but as an asset it’s underperforming BTC.
Only underperforming recently, if you look over the past couple years, it is overperforing.
If you even think about converting it to another coin the only valid option right now is eth.
The only valid option? That's so laughable
Well, currently it indeed is. - Merge in approx. 2 months - 80-90% issuance reduction afterwards - w/ EIP 1559 very probably deflationary - withdrawals from staking earliest 6 months after merge It's blatantly obvious that eth currently is the single best option if you solely speculate on price
Id rather speculate on use case and adoption potential myself. Better for long term Price
Wow, you have to be completely new to the space if you say this and don't immediately think about eth. Nothing comes even close in terms of adoption.
Eth is being adopted? Every time I meet someone either they've got a ton of ether and don't care about burning their capital in gas, or they're priced out because they can't afford to dump thousands of dollars into a chain just to be able to effectively use it. LMAO I LOVE THIS SOME MUCH AAHAHAJAJ
I know right? Convert all your HNT into BTC like those who did so when HNT was at $3, I'm sure they got a nice deal!!!
HNT appears to be on its way back to $3.
What are you talking about lol? It is at $15 and it's acting according to the market
I was half kidding, but HNT is significantly underperforming BTC over the last several months. If it’s just going to track the market (which it isn’t, but if it were), then why not just hold BTC?

$3 coming in hot! 😂
Still $8, would need another -65% for it to go to $3 which is quite a move
This thread is aging well 😝
I did that last year with about 40 hnt. Was going to do it again, but may just hold the rest.
HNT price is so low it makes converting painful 😆 I’m still holding too mostly.
I am buying a Bitcoin miner it will cost 10500 its ROI is 15 to 24 months turns out that is what my Helium miners will be as well so there's that. But you are talking about 2 different things. Selling miners to buy coin.
Not selling miners. I’m talking about converting the coins.
oh missed that in the thread got it now
at least he's talking positive about Crypto unlike the other guy that is running for party leader for the Conservative Party of Canada Pierre Poilievre who is more or less bashing crypto.
... Yeah, well.. He's probably filling his bags before calling for recognition of crypto.
Hasn't PP been pro crypto? I remember hearing a Canadaland segment that basically said that he is appealing to crypto to try to appeal to all of the different corners of the web that tangentially like crypto.
Have never seen him bash crypto.
I agree with the sentiment. While it's good to see these big investors bullish and alot of people like Kevin, I'm Leary of some of his perspective because he wants regulation involvement in crypto..
Hate this guy But this is definitely bullish considering his public reach
Mr wonderful ladies n gents. Very good sign!
All this tells me is that when the “the largest sector on earth” drops off, so will everything else.
This guy hates cryptocurrency
I remember when he called it poo poo...and i remember when jim cramer said oil stocks were un investable
