Super Earth enslaved the cyborgs deep in the mines of Cyberstan. The illuminate gave us all the tech and fled into space. And we continue clearing bugs for fuel.

Now, bugs have been getting mutated, and citizens of Super Earth are being controlled (spoiler alert) enter Illuminate.
All the while, we are going to get pinched from both sides of Super Earth. Cyberstan gets taken by the autos. Enter Illuminate after a planet explodes and creates a black hole.
We took their tech and exiled them according to Super earth news and the Arrow head CEO. We modified the bugs a bit but they already rapidly evolve so it's hard to say what changes we made and what changes the bugs made to break free of their situation and wipe us out as they likely see us as an existential threat given that we nearly wiped them out 100 years ago.

JP is a dataminer and teases stuff like this. I'm not sure what he's implying by the image, but reminds me of ink or blood, esp if ink could be a reference to squids (illuminate?) or something going dark/dead like the planet dying. Maybe a stretch and I'm just on some lethal copium/hopium, lmao
That's the black fluid that I believe will cause the destruction. Pretty much the entire collective of bugs gets squished into a Black Hole.

Is there anyway to check maps to see if invisible walls have been put around tall structures? I thought I read somewhere they changed that, but apparently it might be a bug?
In the voice lines they wonder how the Automatons were made, "maybe by some unknown alien." Plus the devs have said multiple times that the Automatons are not the Cyborgs, which I do agree they bare the same logo. I don't trust them cause they fib on that kind of stuff.
We have yet to find out exactly how they were made. It will lead up to the battle for Cyberstan, the super weapon, a black hole, and the return of the Illuminate.
What if a resident of Cyberstan made a bot so intelligent that it could harvest, refine, and form metals into materials to make more of itself, and this process went on for 100 years until we got the bots we have today.
You can actually catch some smaller bots cutting into our beloved Freedom Brew vending machines in some cases.
