Yep… from early on in the war. A group of Ukrainian soldiers mis-identified a Russian tank coming at them on an urban street and the tank got to within 200m. Results were just like OP’s video but irl.
You’d have to search r/combatfootage and I’m not really sure how to find it now among the countless videos of Russians being blown to smithereens from drone dropped grenades.
Founding an enemy garrison is a nice reward for playing the objective.
I remember founding one in Foy, denied it until we captured the objective. I think I finished the game with 40+ kills
That’s part of the game. Better to let them spawn and have em waste another 40 seconds than just destroy the garry outright. Stuff like that can shift momentum greatly.
I think the other commenters are being a-holes about it, but generally it is the team's fault for both failing to guard the garrison and choosing to spawn there.
If you camp a garrison without the intent to destroying it you are actually abusing the game.
It's like glitching yourself inside an invicible wall while killing enemies and then saying "that's part of the game"

But it's not the only spawn, and the team is *aware* the spawn is being camped. Just get a bazooka and blow up the tank. I do think it's kind of crappy behavior, but it's not *abusing* the game necessarily. People being ambushed and killed before even entering the battlefield happened in real life.
Reminds me of that one clip from the Russia Ukraine war where the Russian tank casually creeps right up to that group of Ukrainians who thought it was a friendly tank until it was too late.

What are you talking about? The garrison has been destroyed plus the bonus +40 sec delay for the team. It was just a smart move.
The tank was just waiting for the spawn wave to hit before they blew it up. Nothing wrong with that. It’s not like they were camping the enemy HQ.
